((If he was addressing Lucine privately, it certainly wasn't noticeable. o_o; And does the door swing open into the stairs, or swing into the hallway?))
The dark-type offered Lucine a smile, ignoring all of Menudo's comments. He was probably just napping in the security room half the time, anyway, for all any of them knew. The fact he hadn't accomplished much could attest to that, so maybe he was just napping.
Either way, she studied the door with bright golden eyes. "Well, my claws won't fit through to click the part inside, so we can't get it like that. Looks like we're going to just have to try and pry it off, or bash it in. Any ideas of which to try first?" She asked, addressing the pink mewvee and Merlin. Perhaps they could attack the hinges? That could work, and it would make busting it down easier.

[Okay, I apologize.
The door is made of metal and automate, it doesn't swing, it slides into the door. When the door slide close, it goes two inches into the other wall before locking.]

Zyk had silently followed the group of pokemon to the door. They were going to try to break it open? Oh, sure, they'd try when the mewtwo told them to... What about Zyk? He had worn himself out trying to open the first door! No one had helped him then... It would be pointless anyway, the doors were solid metal. Not even Zyk's Steel Wing attack could dent them.
The zubat dully 'watched' in the background. It would be a pointless attempt, but he had nothing better to do than to watch their futile attempts.

Merlin looked over the doors, examining them for any weaknesses. "Mmm, these are like the elevator doors from the building I called home before my trainer took me away," he said with less of a tinge of bitterness than he had been lately, "They're really hard to just bust open, since they don't hinge." The ghost floated back a bit. "This will take a while, and will involve breaking things. I do hope you don't mind." The Misdreavus grinned as he looked at the other pokemon. He certainly didn't mind. He was ready for a little destruction. His cabin fever was beginning to peek, not being helped by the fact that he still couldn't pass through the walls wasn't helping, either.

She didn’t like her secrets being told, even if the pokémon couldn’t exactly tell anyone. Alastair had once patiently explained to her----through the use of visual aides---that many bad people would come to hurt her or him if her secret was revealed. And now that… that potty brain, Mr. Menudo, had done just that! If Alastair was hurt at all… her blue eyes narrowed. She would… would…
She paused for a moment, trying to think of a good revenge on the much bigger and stronger mewtwo. Well, she would darn well come up with a revenge and go through with it! Fear her coming retort!
Thankfully, Merlin’s comment soothed her ruffled fur a little bit so she no longer looked like a convenient tool to clean out those hard to reach dusty corners. “Yes. Let’s try this… clearly, Mr. Menudo is insane from a lack of sleep and food. Very, very clearly,” she said, in very certain terms. After all, she was clearly an eevee. Just look at her fluffy tail and lovely fur! She glanced up at the door, still raging over this.
“There aren’t any hinges to attack, unfortunately… hm. What do you suppose is weaker? The door or the wall? Do we have any ground pokémon who could tell us how thick it is? Or any sonic attacks, perhaps? Anything to let us know more.”

Contemplating this, the dark type pressed her clawed 'paws' up against the metal door. Of course, how could she forget most of them were sliding doors? Duh, oh well. "The door is thinner than the wall," she said, studying their target. She knew at least that much. It had to be, anyway. Why would a door be thicker than the wall it was in? It didn't make any sense. She had no idea how thick it was, just that it was thinner than the wall itself. Didn't know how tough to break it would be, either. Oh well.
She stepped back, turning golden eyes onto Lucine and Merlin. "Well, I'm not sure what attacks will work on it, but we can at least try. Maybe a fire attack or something, if it gets hot enough, then it should melt the metal and we can at least bend it or something and do something to it that way." It sounded plausible, anyway, and she wracked her brains to see if she could do anything of the like, but she doubted it.

Merlin made a motion in Zyk's direction. "Perhaps that Zubat could do something. They have the ability to use sonic attacks, right? That's how they see, after all." Merlin idly floated up and down, looking at the door. "Well, if we attack the door itself, the sides of the door is probably where it's weakest. Also, don't we have any fire types about? Metal is steel, steel is weak against fire, since it melts. We could use that too weaken the door." Merlin thought hard. Darn, it had been so long since he actually battled that he forgot most of his moves besides Shadow Ball.

Melting the metal? Lucine blanched a little at the idea and shook her head quickly. “No, that would only make it melt. And melted metal will get on the floor. Most of us aren’t fireproof… hmm…” her tail swished thoughtfully once again. “Merlin has a good idea. We’ve got that zubat somewhere.” She briefly recalled that, so far, he had spent most of his time moping about.
Well, he would have to help, riiiight? It would help him get his human’s stuff back, at least.
“Ice. We should use ice against the door. Maybe if we freeze it enough, it could become frozen. And then, if Jaidev hits it, it will shatter. But first, we need to know how thick it is…” Well! Time to go find Zyk and ask for his help.

The vast quantities of sugar in the remains of the ice cream had kept her awake for a while, so Rebecca woke later than everyone else. Blinking both eyes, though it only did one of them any good, she picked up her Pokéball and drifted over to where a group of others were contemplating the locked door. The Sneasel's voice was familiar. Had she been there during that dreadful walk, trudging through the heat while Rebecca had been stuck in the rucksack?
Setting the Pokéball down with care - she had a Trainer's responsibility over the Charmander inside, after all - she addressed the half-familiar Sneasel. "I'd get this Charmander out and ask him to help, but I think he's still too woozy from the experiment to manage lighting a candle. I think I saw a Growlithe earlier... Blast! It's so irritating having to move doors out of the way instead of just floating through them!"
The unfamiliar Misdreavus would certainly understand this syndrome.

Zyk twitched an ear as he heard Merlin talk about him. It was true that he knew the move supersonic, but he wasn't sure how that would work against a door; that move was used to confuse opponents. He felt as useless as ever; he didn't know any fire type attacks.
Zyk didn't offer to help. He remained where he was, merely watching and not giving any input or lending a hand, or rather, a wing. He did know an ice attack, though.

Thoroughly pleased at their contemplations, the dark-type flexed her claws in something similar to glee. "I know plenty of ice attacks," she offered. "I don't know if it will shatter though, but it's at least worth a try. If it doesn't work, then we can use fire. And don't worry, Lucine, I don't think it will melt all over the floor. I can stop it if it does; along with ice attacks, I can use Rain Dance and Surf." That would stop the melting metal in its tracks, right? It should.
Zubat? Yes, there was a zubat, wasn't there? She didn't know its name, though.. Where did he go? Oh! And a ghastly, too! "Well, that's okay, we'll try fire after if ice doesn't work. I'm Lila, by the way," she said to both ghost types; she hadn't met them before, and felt it'd be polite to offer her name before they all worked on escaping together.

Merlin looked over to Rebecka and grinned. Joy and rapture, another ghost Pokemon! "YES!" Merlin said exasperatedly, "Some one who understands my predicament. My empathies to you, little gastly. Might I have your name?" Merlin asked.
The little mew who was currently an eevee mentioned Ice. "Ah! I think I might know an ice move. Icy wind, if I recall correctly. I doubt that will do more than frost the door up.

The Gastly was about to be polite and introduce herself in return when a thought popped into her head and demanded to be voiced.
"...Lila, I've just remembered something."
It was a faint memory, but Rebecca thought that it might, just might, be a useful one. She'd seen a video on somebody's laptop of a human weapon - like a huge knife - being smashed into pieces with one blow from a hammer.
"If you heat metal up until it's red hot and then cool it very fast, it makes it much weaker. If we did that, rather than just heating or freezing it, we might make it weak enough for us to shatter. So we'd need fire and ice, and lots of it - you plus a fire type."

Lila’s words were a little comforting. Right now, Lucine trusted the sneasel quite a bit, since she seemed more reasonable than the others. At least she was actually trying to get out of here… “Ok. We can try fire afterwards then. But ice first.” And Rebecca had a good idea too! Wow, so many good ideas right now.
Aha! There was the zubat! Naturally, he seemed to be a little worried about his trainer and just being listless. Well, Lucine couldn’t blame him. The pink mewvee was worried about Alastair too. She padded over to the zubat and said, all friendliness. “Hi! Can you help us? We’re trying to break down the door. Mr. Menudo says that our human’s things might be behind that door. But, in order to break it down, we need to know how thick it is. Can you use a sonic attack to sort of… I dunno… make a radar of it?”
She was pretty darn certain that zubats could do things like that. Wasn’t it how they found their prey? They didn’t have eyes, so they had to depend on sonics… yes, she could remember being a zubat once. It was quite an experience…
