TtheHero Eggness TtheHero Denko Tatsuman The only clones are Ganon and Toon Link. mad P: If I wanted to be a d**k, I would say that Lucas, Luigi, Falco, and Wolf are clones too. They are clones!
It's not even like that. They're nothing like each other. Seriously, the only characters that look remotely like clones are Toon Link and Ganon.

Besides by and large their moves have very similar, if not the same, effects, and animations. nirvanafan Come on though! Toon Link and Link have an IDENTICAL move set, right down to the Final Smash. Even though Toon Link is faster, they really couldv'e done more with him.

TtheHero Ugh... clones or not, at least they look better than ever... Luigi looks how he's SUPPOSED to look and sounds how he supposed to sound. Besides that, I hear that when he uses his SUper Jump Punch, his whole body flips around 90 degrees, and he falls back down upside down! That's comic relief for ya! THAT can't be cloned! That's great, but who gives a s**t? I don't care if they look different; if they play the same then who cares?

They just aren't clones. It isn't even a Mario/Luigi situation. They just aren't clones.

The same FS. Watch movies on Youtube that show all the FS's. You will see Link slash someone up in the Triforce, then Toon Link does the same thing.

I agree. But saying they are clones is just not right.
I thought they would be at first as well, but they just aren't.

You're ******** crazy. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. How aren't they clones? I can see why they did it with Luigi. He pretty much has to be in the game, and there isn't really anything else they can do with him. Whereas Lucas, Falco, and Wolf are completely uneccesary to the game.

TtheHero Aren't we getting a little overboard with this clone/not a clone debate? We're just gonna enjoy the game regardless. It's all good fun! What really matter is the skill of the players using the characters. THAT is the true merit of how good a character is. We as gamers must MAKE them look good, regardless of similar moves! I'm sure someone out there agrees with me on this... Well, yeah. Of course. But the fact that "delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl" pushed the game back twice, and Sakurai couldn't get creative with the characters, has got to piss you off or annoy you a little. If he put as much into the characters as he did the Subspace Emissary or Spectator Mode or Stade Builder, then we wouldn't have this debate.

I agree. But saying they are clones is just not right.
I thought they would be at first as well, but they just aren't.
On a side note are there any unmentioned stages out there that strike your fancy? Of what about custom stages, You all got any ideas for what you'll come up with?

You're ******** crazy. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. How aren't they clones? I can see why they did it with Luigi. He pretty much has to be in the game, and there isn't really anything else they can do with him. Whereas Lucas, Falco, and Wolf are completely uneccesary to the game. Have you seen Wolf? I haven't seen too much, but from what I can tell his side B is used completely differently (going diagonally up), his neutral B is slow as hell, his A moves are pretty much entirely different (I haven't studied that closely, actually) Falco, I'm afraid he may be a bit more clone-ish than I hope. Aren't Lucas and Ness's A moves completely different, too? Their B moves work quite differently too, from what i can tell.
