As it got closer Jabir started to merge the corners of the room back into place. Being inside the void, the middle space, they couldn't see them, but after a while it started to look a lot smaller than before
"Don't lose your focus and don't let it go. It's all going as planned"

There came a grunt for an answer as Gryffenc's tail twitched, his tail ring glowing a calm shade of purple. He had it firmly in his grip now, so there was no worry of it slipping through his claws.
Just then, another burst of static(where do these things come from anyway?) threatened to snatch away the only link between the gryphon and the room beyond. Severely annoyed now, Gryff snarled and swiped, at it, missed and attempted to ignore the blasted matter.
Be gone, you. He hissed, clinging onto the thread of time for dear life.

Jabir was being hit by the static as well, but there was little he could do to stop it. He couldn't risk to interrupt the merging of the room
"Almost finished. Hold on"

Already am, m'friend.
Stealing a glance in Jabir's direction, Gryff couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Blasted statics, making life difficult for both of them.

The static grew stronger as the void closed around them. Visually it looked the same with the objects closing down on them, threatning to crush them both But when they were about to touch them, it felt like they were crossing a waterfall, the rumbling sensation and static falling behind as they emerged in the bedroom
Now that the room returned to its proper time and place, only a small orb containing the core of the void remained. It floated about in the room, where the spell had been first casted
Jabir grabbed it, since the protection only worked inside the void, and opening completely his mouth, swalloed it. It wasn't a pretty site to look at him while he did it, the double slit showing as his jaw extended to full lenght and his sharp teeth shown in what could be easily mistaken by an evil grin. But it only lasted for a split second, for his features returned back to normal as it went down his long throat
Once sure the void had been taken care off by his system, he looked around the room, first to make sure everyone was alright, then to find out who was responsible for this mess

Gryffenc purred as the void was left behind, glad to be out of the terrible place. Looking over at the piece of nothing floating around the room - or rather, living room, The gryphon was just about to reach for it when Jabir beat him to it and actually swallowed it, taking him completely by surprise.
Neat one! If he could have Jabir teach him that... That.. could you... Gryff trailed off, recalling the pro-static condition of the void they were in earlier. An image of an eternally-fluffed gryphon entered his mind, and Gryff promptly decided against changing his diet to balls of voids. Nevermind.
Just then, the lovely smell of freshly made 'roti prata' and chicken curry wafted through the room, followed a moment later by a very surprised face peeking from the kitchen.
"Jabir, Gryff! What a pleasant surprise!" Silencer exclaimed, disappearing for a second as she set the bowl of curry on the kitchen counter. "I thought I heard voices out here," she continued, fluffing Gryff's mane good-naturedly before holding out a hand to Jabir, peering at the locked door and wondering how both of them hand entered the place without her noticing.
"Good news is, I've just finished making some pratas - thought we'd have something Indian this morning. Would you like to join us for breakfast, Jabir?" Silencer asked, smiling up at Jabir. She knew already Gryffenc's answer even before asking.

Guessing what Gryff was thinking, Jabir was about to say to tell him he was using a natural property of his body instead of eating the void, when he heard Silencer entering the room
"I'll pass, thank you". Actually he wasn't able to eat any cooked food. It would give him one hell of an indigestion, just like vegetables and fruit did "And it's late afternoon"
Before she could reply, he started to explain "This room was lost in time for a whole week. Something... or someone was extremely careless" his voice was a rumbling hiss at this point. He was going to yank somebody's ears for this

One whole week...
Silencer's blood ran cold at Jabir's statement. "It was just--" Silencer paused as she peered out of the window - it was, as Jabir had said, late afternoon. Feeling a headache creep into her head, Silencer make her way slowly to the couch and settled onto it, helped by Gryff.
"If that's true..." She breathed, turning to Gryff, who nodded. "Then who caused it? I was in the kitchen the whole... morning. Rex was, and still is asleep in his room. King too, I think. They couldn't have managed it."
"And even if Rex wants, he wouldn't have been able to do it." Turning to Jabir, Silencer continued, "Would he? Time freezing is quite advanced magic, isn't it?"
Are you sure he didn't? For all we knew...
"Positive. Rex haven't been focusing much on magic lately, all he's thinking of is basketball, and air-bball." She smiled suddenly, recalling how her child had come up with such a game.

Jabir sighed. He was pretty sure Rex was the one responsible. Not only he had the Time alignment, but the magic pattern seemed to match
"Actually it is, when you are trying to freeze time" he stressed the last part "But it can occur when you meddle with things you don't fully understand"
"As for knowing if Rex was the responsable..." he went over to the kid's door, knocking loudly before he entered

Both Silencer and Gryffenc followed after Jabir, Silencer peeking to the side of the mishap before manouvering in front of him, just as her child pulled his blanket over his head(smothering King effectively) and mumbled about another ten more minutes of sleep.
Silencer tugged at the blanket, struggling a little to get it off a resistant boy's grip. Resting her hand on Rex's shoulder, she shook the boy, trying to have him get up while dodging a grateful, slobbering lick from King. "Rex, wake up. Someone's here to see you."
Rex grumbled, and pried the hand off. Turning over to resume his sleep, Rex had no time to sense something amiss, before finding himself flat on the floor.
"Wuh?" Fully awake, Rex sat up and found himself surrounded by three familiar figures. "Um.. good morning?" The boy greeted, glancing at Jabir and Gryff in confusion.

"Good afternoon actually, evening soon" Jabir stated dryly as he sat next to Rex
"A little while ago me and Gryffenc had to mend a void that kept your room frozen in time. You and Silencer had been trapped there for a whole week and if it wasn't for him" he pointed to the gryphon "who knows for how long this situation would stay undetected"
"Time magic can be strange and unpredictable, not to mention extremely dangerous. Whatever caused it had place in this room"
He looked directly to the child's face, his expression cold and serious
"And I have strong reasons to believe you are the one responsable for it!"

Rex's eyes widened in horror. He would have taken that Jabir was lying to him, but the expression on the mishap's face prevented such an accusation from starting; one look at Mother and Gryff's face made his blood run cold.
Turning back to Jabir, confusion turned to hurt as Jabir 'accused' him of a crime not done. Stealing a glance at Silencer for support, that hurt grew evermore as the guardian shook her head - there was nothing she could do to help; he would have to explain things to Jabir himself.
"I didn't do it." Rex began, looking at Jabir straight in the eye, his tone equally serious, if not with an underlaying mixture of emotions. "I was asleep the whole time, though I have no idea how long."
"Rex, if you didn't cast Time magic, who else did?" Silencer spoke just then, sitting herself beside her child. "The only person who has a connection with the allignment in this room, even including Jabir, is you."
"Dunno. What about Un- Gryff? He knows lots of magic."
Ironically, no. The gryphon replied bitterly.
"Then I really dunno, see?" Then, in a spout of annoyance, Rex grumbled, "Why don't you ask King?"
At the mention of his name, King perked up and looked around. Perhaps breakfast would be served now? He was feeling unusually hungry.

His expression was as serious as ever, but a worried tone could be found in his voice
"The magic was casted from the inside Rexier and it matches your own. As much as I hate to admit, it all points you"
At the mention of King Jabir rose his neck in a surprised manner, twisting in a S shape. His tail was doing the same, but it was hidden from view as it laid over and beneat the bed
"Do ask him then"

Rex had meant it as a joke, but all the same he questioned his twin, a little surprised at Jabir's suggestion.
King? A question for you...
Yes, I'm hungry. The tyrannosaur stated, prompting a sudden outburst of suppressed laughter from a certain gryphon in the room.
Silencer, go get a little something for the poor reptile, will ya? Gryffenc said before Rex could, keeping his face as level as possible.
"Yeah, that." Rex smiled sheepishly at his mother, watching her leave the room, before returning to business.
Remember Jabir? he queried, shifting a little sideways. At King's grunt and nod, the boy continued. He said I used magic--
I did it. King interrupted before Rex could say anything else. This resulted in two very different reactions from Gryff and Rex - the gryphon stared distantly at King, while Rex, who could not do so simply froze on his bed.
"King said... he did it." Rex translated, after recovering from his surprise.

Jabir's tail bolted from under the bed and wrapped around King's muzzle in a threatning manner, preventing any type of retaliation or escape from the T-Rex. Even if King didn't understood Jabir the meaning was perfectly clear, he had went too far
"Tell your brother of yours what he did. Explain him why dealing lightly with magic is so god damn dangerous" he said in an icy tone The hissed growl he used by the end of the sentence half revealed how furious he really was
