Shaydra grinned as they walked to the slave sleeping quarters. "Good point," she said. "Luxran, can you walk? I can carry you if you want," she offered.

Shaydra rolled her eyes as they were ushered into a room full of sleeping creatures. "Okay," she said, turning to Lex. "When should we try to escape?" At the word of escape, several slaves perked up.

"shh!!! Only we can get out now, a big group would fail." Lex looked around, "We have to wait till the dead of night. After they feed us, they lock us in here, I don't know how we will undo the lock, but by then, the guards are alseep too. They wont cause much trouble. Once we get out in the open, things can really fly." She smirked at the last word.

"But I could erase the lock," Shaydra said, bouncing her pencil between her claws. "I can do a lot of things If I could figure out how."
She looked at one of the guards outside. "What are we going to do once we're outside? It's late afternoon. I know where we could get out without alerting the slave drivers, but it involves fighting ogres. A lot of ogres."

"We could kill either of them: Slave drivers or Ogres, take your pick." She smiled again. "And either of the lock-pickings will work, doesn't matter to me." At this, she shrugged.

Shaydra snorted. "That's easy, I'd rather fight the slave drivers. There are way too many ogres. As for the lock...whichever one's faster."

Lex nodded. "I don't know which one is faster...so don't ask me. As for the slave drivers, we will have to make quick work of it, and then get out like that" She snapped her fingers, "Or they will alert...higher powers..." She paused, for the first time thinking, 'What am I doing?! I don't even know these people! And I'm helping them get out! What if they work for him?!' She stepped away from Shaydra and Luxran a step and looked at both of them, not wanting her face to give away what she was thinking.
