I think we're going to have to say goodbye to the Library soon.
Nobody really uses it and there's only so much we can say on it. The real problem is that if we haven't all read the same books there's so little point in threads because they don't get used.
I was thinking of just having a books thread in the Tavern or something.
This vacates another subforum. This isn't the only one though.
What on earth are we doing with the Storeroom? Hypno, it was your idea originally and I really liked it. However, we don't seem to be using it AT ALL at this moment in time. I do still think a crew only forum would be beneficial, but it'll need to be used and I really can't think of any way to do that.
We could just move the Staff Room into the foyer area and lock it so that only crew can post.
If we do that, we'll then have two vacated subforums to find other uses for.
I'm now going to be away for ten days as of Saturday, so I'd be grateful if some of you guys could have a think and post about it on the relevant thread (where others can post as well).

Yes Mel, yer right. I was thinking that the Storeroom could be used for moving and keeping threads that don't belong anywhere else and that shouldn't be deleted yet. I know it's not being used but I do check it sometimes just in case someone posts or whatnot.
But if you decide to only keep one thread from there I shall support yer decision. I'll be back tomorrow or so to post another report on my activities.

I'd say just take a good close look at the contents of the RP subforum, come up with some ideas, and post them for us all to look at. We won't make any actual changes until Mel returns to give final approval, but we can certainly start discussing it all.
We have a lot of folks here that are probably interested in RP of various sorts: live-action, online, structured, free-form... and all the interesting things that come out of it (costuming, props-making, make-up & prosthetics, etc.) so it may be possible to get things planned along those lines. So go forth and have fun with it! smile

Yeah, yer probably right. Still, at least MsJo can check the forum out and see if there's something she can add, edit or whatnot. BTW, I did the following things yesterday: I went through the list of members to see who qualified for the user name contest/lotto and found out that a lot of members haven't raised their post count at all in the last few months. I keep seeing it as it is since last year. I also PMed each and every one of them but I haven't received a reply from any of them yet. I checked out most of the sub-forums and I noticed that the question of the week had not been updated so I did it (the list on page 1, I mean). I also entered a new birthday (Prema's B/D) on the B/D list but, I think I did that on Wednesday. sweatdrop Let's see... what else did I do? Oh yeah, I also posted a couple of rules at my user name contest/lotto and I'm hoping that Mel will open the sub-forum so people can start posting there. Other than that, I posted at some threads and well... I don't think there's anything else to say. mrgreen

BTW, I did something in the main forum today: I actually edited two of Mel's posts in "The Directory" thread. I couldn't believe that there was still talk of the film & anime lounge, as well as the games room, when those sub-forums no longer exist. Well, they exist but they were changed and now they have completely different names. I also checked out the requests/suggestions thread and posted.
Oh yeah! I also looked at a join request, I saw the member's posts to see what kind of poster he is as well. I concluded that the member could be a good poster here so I accepted him (or at least his avatar looks like a "he" anyway).
I'm heading to the other sub-forums to see what I can do also. Later!

I suppose I created this account more for extra fun? I don't know really. I just felt the urge to do it because my DM_Melkhar's true identity can't be expressed on Gaia due to my story and the fact that there's no way I can create her image correctly, and I can't bring myself to alter her hair to any other colour or style that doesn't have it long. It's a psychological thing in me.
Meylihrn is in my writing and she's the only one I am going to express on here. She's not a main character, but she has her part to play in it all. She has dealings and a strange kind of rivalry with my main pirate, LS (using only his initials).
Anyway, on to what the thread is meant to be about.
