Maybe they called it a hunting spear? Or the spears they choose to use in those games are just more based on military designs...

Hmm, hunting spear? I don't recall any... If you don't believe me, you can always go to gamefaqs.com and check out the inventory/item/weapon FAQs. I have seen spears like Gungner (sp?) or Alucard's spear but nothing along the lines of a hunting spear at all. Maybe they are based on military designs but I kinda doubt it cuz some seem like they came out of Greek stories or alike.
I suppose that this thread won't be having anymore posts from new members sharing with us the history behind their user names, huh? After all, the guild doesn't exactly have a lot of active members nowadays... sad

I have plenty of user names. My usual is Nexus, but I decided to use one of my non-character characters. Or one of my personalities I use when I write. (I swear I have a half dozen) and I picked the most mild and outgoing one: Ellia Snow. I tried to make my avatar look like her too, only it's missing a thing or two. Really, writing is my life and my writing personalities are a part of me. I'm glad I picked the user name that I did. ^_^

OMG! Someone finally posted here!
That's a really cool user name you have there. I myself don't have a different personality when I write. I'm beginning to wonder if I should... Anywho, I'm glad you were able to have the exact name you wanted on Gaia. I hate when the name I want is already taken on a site I'm trying to join. stressed

Apparently the usernames I like seem to be unique enough that I don't have to worry about them being stolen. A lot of people don't have different personalities when they write. They're just themselves. I can't seem to write when I'm just being me though, so I have to kind of mentally cosplay as a character that's always there but never involved. The main character I use to channel my writing through is Emil Straton (also my usual pen name) but for specific parts that he wouldn't know about I switch to another one. I tend to use Ellia for romantic scenes or scenes where important bonds are deepened. I also have Elisa Snow, Carmelita Snow, and Echo Straton with their respective expertise. It's just fun being a schizo I guess...

Ha-ha! I'd say. Otherwise just ask Jim Carrey in that movie he did with Renee Zelllwegger (sp?). Has anyone seen the movie Me, myself and Irene?
I gotta tell ya, I don't have a problem writing as myself or even if I put myself in the role of someone else. I wonder if it's a good or a bad thing...
