LoI was pretty good, but I'm hoping they make the next game even better. You can tell they could have added a whole lot more.

Akimbo I've..never finished a game of Silent Hill, or even played much for that matter. Should I try to play them..? sweatdrop Depends, do you like to see how close you can come to wetting yourself in terror? True story, I was sitting in the game room (the second bedroom we don't use) in my appartment one night when Luna was off somewhere with her friends playing Silent Hill 2. I didn't realize that the sun had gone down and left the room dark until one of the times when I was running through the hallways in one of those appartment buildings. As I was reveling in how creepy it could get with absolutely nothing but low visibility and my own echoing footsteps, the phone next to me rang. This both startled me and brought me to the realization that the room was totally dark and the entire complex was quiet. I almost s**t myself. Turns out it was Luna calling to see if I wanted a milkshake...

When we had three I didn't really think it was too bad, even if we didn't get that far. I was pretty scared playing Fatal Frame, though..and people I've talked to say that SH isn't as scary as the Fatal Frame games. Maybe I'll have to give it a try and hope that they're right. 'cause FF scared the crap ou tof me.

I am... returned'ed! gonk Just as everyone else seems to be leaving.
I'm about to order my 50-dollar Japanese import of Fire Emblem 6. crying Thank God the GBA isn't region-protected...
Oh yeah, we got Tales of Symphonia the other day and I'm almost done with it. It's a really linear, straightforward RPG, and the multiplayer battle mode is fun to do with my brother and sister. whee

In fact… with all the side quests, and hidden outfits and extra crap you can get, I thought it was quite the opposite. I put 101 hours into my first game. I can easily see myself reloading my save before I beat the last boss and putting in quite a few more in the arena before starting New Game +.

I'll probably be doing 100+ hours in mine too.

The thrown of ultimate 2D fighting game has been shaken.
Somewhat misguidedly, I had declared Street Fighter the king of the 2D fighting game franchise, only having played those old World Heros games for SNES as comparison.
That's right, no SNK games, no GG, none of that. Anyway, I go to game stop today, and trade in a bunch of games, and have about... 80 dollars in credit. I go to pick up Pokemon Fire Red, and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, what I had came there to buy in the first place. Then, on the used shelf, I see KOF 2000 and 2001 for the PS2, for about 20 bucks. Well... two games for twenty clams... that looked like a good deal to me, so I picked it up. Anyway, I got home, and played SFIII for about two hours, getting my a** beat by my friend repeatedly. It was rather annoying; though despite the fact that I kept getting beat, still fun. Anyway, I got up and switched to KOF 2000. What followed blew my mind. The absolute best experience I have ever had with a 2D fighting game, ever. I immediately took to the game. It's just an amazing game… I love it. After a while, I tried out KOF 2001, only to be even more impressed by the art tweaks and game play tweaks that had taken place in the next installment. I love the KOF games… they’re absolutely wonderful. I plan to pick up KOF 2002/2003 when I can find it, and the new KOF game that’s going to be coming out later this year.
So yes, everyone, if you have even a remote interest in 2D fighting games, go buy the KOF games! If you haven’t already done so… sweatdrop
