Once in her hands, Vahe just sat still enjoying the touch of another. He calmed considerably and remained still as long as she was touching him. Part of him knew that in just a short while she'd be putting all these other birds back into the wagon, right alongside him. He didn't want that, but he didn't want to peck at her or hurt her, so he simply sat still.

Ro stays outside, enjoying the warm sun and the company of Banya, for about an hour before she stands up with Vahe and goes to put him back on his perch. Then she puts the other five back into the wagon as well. She makes sure the curtains are drawn back from the windows to let the sunlight in. She gives all of them a kiss and leaves them until tomorrow.

upset at being locked back in the wagone for yet another night, Vahe flies to the window again, and once again he gets upset enough that the window frosts over.
Only this time, Vahe gets even more upset at the fact that he now can't see throught the window, so he begins to pound his little beak against the frosted glass. After about 7 hits the window cracks... after 15 hits the window shatters and Vahe flies out. He sees the squirrel girl not too far away and flies over to her, landing on her shoulder with a thud.

The force and surprise of it nearly knocks Rojiza off her feet. She trips forward, but manages to catch herself before she falls over completely. She looks to see who'd landed there. Vahe? She could've sworn she put him back in the wagon. She looks back toward Honeyed Aria and sees the broken window. She goes back to the wagon to inspect the damage. It's just a broken window...nothing else seems broken. And all the other Banya are still inside. She sighs and looks to Vahe. How am I going to fix this? she wonders.

Vahe would have smiled if he could have. He didn't care about the other Banya, they only seemed interested in squaking and picking at each other anyway. And he certainly didn't care about the window... that was in his way and now it wasn't. He was with a person again and he had nothing to worry about for right now.

Sighing again, Rojiza finds a thick blanket and tacks it up over the broken window to keep the Banya warm at night. It's only when she's halfway back to her own wagon she remembers she's got Vahe on her shoulder. She stops and looks back, and then forward. Oh alright, she says, continuing forward, I suppose spending the day with me won't hurt him.
