By you guys trying to tell what these songs mean you are being a sensationilized dictator. One System wants us to believe what it means in our own way not be forced into someone elses way. Second you are undermining what they try and teach because their songs are like a haikku and their are so many ways to interpret it. So your nothing more than what they dont like a hypicrit who listens to one thing and does the oppisite. You are nothing more than our corrupt goverment. :evil:

Okay one humans are not born corrupt it is the poison that is spread through them as a child which is brought on by hate which could be stopped but wont because of pompous fools who want to make things perfect for them in every way. And they dont care if everything is destroyed as long as life is easy and care free for them. Also the hypicrit thing I messed up on cause Im sleepy so sorry. But yes I do live in America but I dont hate it I just hate our goverment and I really dont care what they do for me or what they dont do for me. I really just care about how America is destroying the world around us with its redicoulous wars. Which we dont know why we fight and die for. I care about this world and what is happening to it with the use of nukes and other horrible weapons which are used in the blink of an eye. To further the reputation of America. Also what I've done for america really isn't worth s**t. Because trying to further love and peace throught your community doesnt mean s**t. No and I guess you dont want it to change because you fell so safe behind Americas wall of greed and selfishness. So you would rather live in a dying society and feel contempt as your poisined which will probably collapse soon and with it we will die. Also people like you sitting at home doing nothing isnt going to do anything positive because you don't care what happens as long as your life is fufilled and that the future wont affect you so just litter and dont try and help the world just stay in your little cubicle and be fed your daily rations and obbey your weak leaders so when they say s**t you s**t your little heart out. And feel happy that you could have changed your life but you chose to be quite and let this world be destroyed. Yeah im usually peaceful but when you sensationalized fools who care only about your view and not the view of others so dont try your grown up stuff on me because I was not born in this world to be another face in the crowd and im gonna stand up and face our goverment but not with violence but with words something you wouldn't know because you probably back all of Americas death doing. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, if you made your community a better place, your community well help others in its county. You live around Spokane? Neato. I live around Seattle. Seattle lawmakers try to make laws that benefit the community, and when the mayor Greg Nichols doesn't get a law passed, he knows that that isn't something what Seattle wants. He knows that if people want something changed, they gotta either vote or get up support for a bill. You know Tim Eyman? Radical uberconservative? He listens to his community and tries to get bills passed, no matter how rejected they are by the citizens of Washington state. He was even jailed, but now he's back doing the same damn thing.

And you think going to DC to stop a memorial from being desecrated is NOTHING?
And you think I love the government? No. Noooo. Bush does nothing, Cheney's taking over, and the house is going to be full of democrats! I don't like the Bush Administration, but what I hate more are the Democrats who think they're doing more good by saying that Iraq is stable. It'll never be. It's been prophecized that that area of the world will never be peaceful, and when it does, Hell freezes over. Democrats are also trying to raise global warming as a huge a** issue to divert people from seeing what is going on over there.

How about you stop getting fed by your biased Rolling Stone Magazine you got from buying tickets to Ozzfest and look for the solution, not the problem. Your teenage "insight" doesn't affect me. Open your eyes and see the whole world, because you'll never make it alone, you hippie. I don't see you going to Iraq and preaching peace. I may be a pacifist by means of physical fighting, but in other ways, I sure as Hell ain't peaceful. That would be hypocritical for me to go over there and preach peace, huh?

The future won't affect me because it hasn't happened yet. There can be twists in time like 9/11, when I woke up and had no idea what was going on. Of course we know now, but back then, we were confused, wouldn't you agree? Only the past and present affect the future, and what you do today impacts tomorrow. I don't make plans for the future because when plans are being made, life happens. Sound familiar? John Lennon. He'd be proud to see what he's done with people like you, right? Now, I dunno what you mean by cubicle, because I have already signed up for technical school for Computer and Web programming, so basically, yeah, I will be sitting on my a** all day, programming s**t. But what I program could either be kickass, or people will hate it, or even then I can choose to stay quiet and program things for myself. But if I release what I hope will be an MMORPG, I can affect a community, and if they become addicts, another community, known as old people, will become highly concerned and try to sue me, and then the courts will be in my favor because 1.) I'll have money, and 2.) It's the player's fault for being addicted.

I know everyone is angry but please think of us poor people trying to read it all! Whats the point of writing your opinion if it makes people's eyes hurt?

Thirdly, I find it so bizarre that a highly aggresive political and social argument has sprung from a topic that was only meant to innocently share thoughts about our favourite songs!
I know there have been some pretty ******** up opinions being posted in the last few pages but no one was supposed to take it seriously, surely!

People just need to calm down, stop stereotyping and THINK before you type! Maybe try and learn something about the people you're arguing with before you start assuming things about them!
I mean, yeah, like anyone in this guild has a ******** cubicle! Most people here are still in school!

It seems we have two people from opposite sides of the political battlefeild here and personally I think both of you have points that are valid and points that are a pile of crap.
The thing to remember is that this is THE INTERNET, none of our opinions are actually going to change anything.

Ultimately we're all here because we love System Of A Down, right?
Surely we should try and focus on what we have in common instead of picking fights.
DO NOT DESCEND INTO THE BITCHY, HATEFUL PEOPLE YOU'RE TURNING INTO BECAUSE THAT IS NOT THE SORT OF GUILD I WANT TO BE PART OF.

I realize that this is all really off-topic, and we all need to keep our beliefs to ourselves (beliefs, not pseudo-facts) when we are supposed to be responding to the thread about Toxicity interpretations, all heated debates that have appeared along the way aside. Mentioning what you believe in in every post you make does not make you any stronger in what you stand for and does not help conflict resolve because there will be people that are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

The whole point of this thread is to discuss our interpretations, and such an act has been done for thousands of years. Of course, we're always are going to say we're right at first, but then we hear others speaking, and we can change to get a better understanding. However, that can only happen if we have open minds and hearts. Closed minds never resolved conflicts.


and right now, I don't give a s**t if I'm a sensationalized kitten or whatever. I'm posting this as a person.
