When the boy Felix was seriously crushing on was knocked into the water he fell to his knees, trembling with the fear of leaning out over the water. He was seriously considering jumping in after the other boy, even though he couldn't swim either, which would just make things worse. When Aoibhinn rescued Vhan Felix jumped up with a gasp of relief, and as soon as the other boy was deposited back on the dock, he wrapped him up in a crushing hug, unmindful of the fact that the other boy was dripping wet. "Away. Water. Now." he said and pulled back a little, and then drug the other boy off of the dock and away from the water, hissing at Mikami as he passed.

Brayden smiled, following along behind Kaya as he started on his way back to the group. It didn't take him long to spot the others, as Mikami dove, taking both him and Vhan into the water. Brayden couldn't hide the laugh at the action, seemed Vhan was getting soaked more often than not these past few days.
Watching Vhan's rescue, Brayden retraced his path back to the dock behind Kaya.
"Looks like everyone's met Mikami," he chuckled.

Mikami merely grinned, looking up to Felix as the dragon left the water, clawing back up to the dock, before shaking off, water flying. Chloe sighed, "You really can't behave, can you?" she muttered, before making her way behind Felix and Vhan back to the beach. Mikami trailed along behind her, humming happily to himself.
Chloe spotted Brayden and Kaya approaching the docks, watching them for a few more moments before she waved. It looked like they had things sorted out, for which she was glad. At Brayden's comment, Chloe couldn't help but laugh.
"Yeah, I guess so, but I think these two could have done a bit longer without having met the deviant dragon," she grinned. Mikami landed behind her on one of the posts, yawning as he flicked his tail, sending a few more water drops flying.
"I really am sorry about that, though," she apologized to Vhan, sombering up as she shook her head, "He can be very unpredictable sometimes. Most of the time he's just playing, but as you can see, that can get out of hand rather quickly."
It was about this time Saku finally caught up with Chloe. She was grumbling slightly, not really enjoying this much walking. However, there was no way she'd allow herself to be left behind.
She stepped off of the dock, and onto the sand, suddenly tripping over a rock. She let out a startled cry, tumbling, before righting herself, glaring at the rock. She could have sworn it moved...

The Graveler emerged from the sand, as Saku growled, coming to face the rocky Pokemon. Chloe turned, hearing the commotion.
"Looks like you found yourself a challenge, huh?" she called to Saku, who finally righted herself from the tumble, rolling over to finally make it to her feet. Being top-heavy sucked, she noted.
"Kay, use a Zen Headbutt," Chloe called, as the Graveler charged. Saku simply charged right back, having no need to lower her own head, since it was inside her protective shell. She slammed into the Graveler, getting a bit of justice as she knocked the rocky Pokemon backwards.

The Graveler retaliated with a Tackle, grappling with Saku, before slamming her to the sand. Her shell absorbed most of the blow, although she left a crater in the soft sand.

"Alright, Dragonbreath now!" Chloe nodded, as Saku suddenly released a flare of flames at the Graveler. She succeeded in melting the sand that had trapped her in the process, hopping back up out of her hole as the Graveler recovered from the blow.

The Graveler used a Rollout, curling itself up as it spun like a tire without any traction, before suddenly shooting at Saku. The Shellgon merely growled, before countering with another Zen Headbutt at Chloe's request.

Coming to a spinning halt, the Graveler suddenly crushed his hand down into the sand, coming up with a boulder. He repeated the action with each of his four arms, hurling them at Saku. There was no way the cumbersome Shellgon could avoid them, so she just hunkered down, withdrawing further into her shell as her little section of beach suddenly became a bombing range of rocks.
Chloe watched as the dust settled, realizing that Saku would be okay. She was a bit banged up, but it was nothing to severely worry about.
"Okay, now finish him off!" Chloe called, cheering her partner on, "Use one last Dragonbreath!"
Saku nodded, an action that pretty much bobbed her whole body in agreement, before flaring out another blast of flame at the Graveler, effectively putting it out of commission.

She headbutted the pylon he was perched on, dislodging Mikami from his post. Mikami and Saku immediately started sqabbling, so Chloe sighed, recalling the two of them before they could do any more damage.

Suddenly finding himself being dragged away from the water, he watched Aoi follow them as he tried to keep upright. Hearing Chloe, he turned his head to look at her, glad that he was finally able to do that much as least. "No problem..." he told her in response. "I can understand him wanting to play but isn't he a little big to be acting like an over excited Growlithe?" he asked, half sarcastic and half serious.

Getting dunked by me once already and now by Mikami." he added. "Definitely not good, especially if he can't swim." he added, looking around for a moment.
"Has anyone seen Tsuki?" he asked curiously. It only took a brief moment before she was found. She went running past the group with an Onix chasing after her. She turned after she was clear of them and blasted an explosive seed into the rock snake's face, sending it crumbling to the ground.

Brayden nodded, "Sure," he agreed with Kaya's suggestion, "I agree. The caves might be a bit less wet than the beach," he smiled faintly.
"Last time I was here it was a pretty straight-forward path to the old mines. Even though it hasn't been used in a while, the path is still fairly well-worn," he explained, "It led up the mountain a bit, to the entrance of the caves. From there, its kinda a go wherever you feel like kinda place," he shrugged, "I never got around to mapping it out or anything, but there are several tunnels leading every which way. I guess while the miners were seeking new veins, they did some exploratory drilling."

Brayden nodded to Chloe, "Thanks," he smiled, catching the Pokeball. Ariadne immediately began her mental tirade, but Brayden tuned her out for the time being. He clipped her Pokeball back to his belt, before nodding to Chloe.
"Uh, yeah, we had a slight misunderstanding I suppose," he murmured, "I think we have it all sorted out, though," he brightened, smiling to Kaya.
"As for the mines, they're honestly not all too bad. Since most of the exploratory lines either run for only a little bit before dead-ending, or loop back around to the main path. It looks like they knew what they were doing when they started mining here," he nodded.
"Now I know next to nothing about mining," he laughed, "But the caves make at least a little sense."
"I can guide us to the entrance, though," he nodded, "I didn't spend too much time here on the island, but I can probably remember the way."

((Ouch. xD Sorry to hear that. I don't read too much manga, but it seems whenever I find an interesting sounding title, its just in Japanese, which just looks like a bunch of squiggles to me. =P I can just look at the pictures then.))
Brayden nodded, "I don't mind one bit," he smiled, pointing up the beach.
"There's a path that'll lead upwards once you hit that hill over there," he explained, setting out, Caliga trotting along behind him. She hadn't been up to much, although she did smile as she saw Tsuki dash past, Onix in tow.
Brayden kept a fairly easy pace to match, although he traveled a bit slower, realizing that it was very likely that Vhan, and most likely Felix too, was shaken by the events on the dock.

Really, Felix hadn't been thinking when he had hugged the very wet Vhan, he had just been worried about the other boy... Now he was wet, he hated being wet. He wasn't actually terrified of being wet so much, as being around large bodies of water. His fear wasn't really rational.
Since he was already wet, he didn't mind holding Vhan's hand, though after a while the feeling of water started irritating him enough that he stopped walking. "I'll be right back." he told Vhan, and slipped his hand out of the other boy's grip, walking a little ways away. Once he judged that he was far enough away from the group, he shook himself all over, from the top of his ears, to the tips of his toes and the tip of his tail, spraying water droplets everywhere, which is why he had stepped a little ways away. He wasn't always so considerate, but he didn't want to get Vhan any wetter than he already was.
When Felix was done shaking as much water out as possible, he looked... fluffier. His skin was covered in a very, very fine fur, and now that, and the rest of the fur on his ears and tail, were all standing on end, which gave him a very fluffy look indeed.
Gigi was never one to stay in her pokeball for very long, so of course she came out just in time to see this latest spectacle. She looked at her trainer for a long moment, and then started snickering uncontrollably. 'You look like a jumpluff!' she gasped out, rolling on the ground she was laughing so hard.
While she wasn't looking, Felix snuck up behind her and grasped the back of her neck. She went limp, and the meowth boy carried her over to Vhan. "Here, hug her, she wants to be wet too." he said pleasantly, while Gigi started squirming as much as she could while being held like she was.

{{I get Japanese a lot. I tend to try out series that aren't mainstream to see if they're any good. Thus Astral ends up getting raw scans that mean gibberish to her.
I liked Naru until the rabid fangirls scared me away. And I think I've read a little bit of Gravitation, but it really didn't interest me. I only read a bit of the first volume in the library, though.
xD Geez, I ran across some hard core yaoi a while back by accident. I skimmed the summary, thought it sounded like an interesting plot idea, clicked, then suddenly there's some rather adult scenes going on. @_@ Astral's a bit more research-y before she clicks to view now. ^^"}}
Chloe couldn't help but giggle at the interaction between Felix and Gigi as she watched the slightly fluffed boy hand the feline over to Vhan. She followed along behind the group as she took a glance around the beach. If it weren't for the abandoned mining equipment strewn about, it would probably be a pretty place, she mused absently, yawning as she trotted along behind the boys.
She still couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, though. But a glance around revealed nothing, so she ignored it for now.
