Also, how about some clear-defined set of rules governing types of matches...

So people can pick wether they want to have a weapons spar, hand-to-hand..and what not..

Because there is really no need for people to be sparring and fighting like their battling god damned Sephiroth or Lavos.

The property damage alone is troublesome...

Also, the idea of my ninja clan as the new vanguard for the stadium, and proposed village grounds.

And di I mention the whole private docks thing? Uber had a good idea with that one.

Hell, throw in an airship landing pad or zone within the confines or on the grounds or area of the village.

Basically for the village I was thinking we push, the merchants ring out and all the living quarters into the place... or something along those lines.

More to come as I think...

The property damage alone is troublesome...

Property damage:

A warning, then a temp ban from fighting in the stadium (outside is still fine, as long as they don't damage the village), and if the individual repeatedly refuses to keep his destructive urges confined to within the arena he is currently fighting in (such as starting fights in the village and knocking over vending machines), they would be banned from fighting in the area altogether, as in, if they start something, it gets stopped by the security by force.

Fight types:

Hand-to-Hand: Strictly using two arms, two legs. No wings, tails, weapons, powers, anything if it can possibly be held back/taken off. More or less 'as humans do'.

Unarmed Melee: Same as hand-to-hand, except if they have extra appendages, tails or so, they are welcome to use them, so long as there are no powers or weapons involved, and things such as claws and spines are not used as weapons.

Weapons Match: Anything, as long as there are no powers used.

Powers Match: Same as Unarmed Melee, though powers are allowed, but not weapons.

Full-On: Anything goes.

Match Types:

Spar: Two opponents fight until a given conditional is reached. Attacks are not meant to injure the opponent, simply to 'score a hit'.

First Blood: Two opponents fight until one bleeds. Typically this would go with a Weapons Match.

Battle: Two opponents fight until one is injured enough to consider it a win by consent, submission, or a judge call. This is the standard tournament fare.

Death-Match: Two opponents fight until one is rendered unconcious, unable to fight, submits, or is killed. A judge call can also end it.

Example:

Hand-to-Hand Spar

First Blood Weapons Match

Unarmed Melee Battle

I like that.. very well thought out.

Maybe Pat can bring in his Durem Corp. to do all these changes and construction ic wise, while its being all written up and planned out here.

As for Jays undergroudn tunnels idea... I really love that..and an't help but keep thinking about the way the Hive was constructed in that Resident Evil movie..lmao.

Can we have a small service way train in there? xp

Also, maybe we can have an overhead blimp or some shite that circles the stadium during tournaments or something.. xd

Also, maybe even a descrip of the Hall of legends, as an actuall place in the stadium..that replays recorded past fights and such..so people can view them ic and what not..

Also how about a somewhat actuall drawn out map..like..where teh hell is the Stadium located anyway.. in the province of Barton?

If I remember correctly I think it was on an Island somewhere near gambino... but its been a long time since I was told this.

All I know is it's on the coast.

And I'd imagine a ways outside of any city, due to the forrest surrounding.

Matt was rather vague about its location... or atleast to me...

In short I remember somethign about a beach, and water, and gambino... and knowing the whole leviathan thing I may have assumed an island possibly.. hell I dont remember...

Well, since the village thing would require being remote, and there wouldn't be many large coastal forrests on a tropical island resort-town like Gambino Isle, as well as the fact that we have no idea where the fleeb we are anyway, I propose we just mandate that we're somewhere near the coast on continental Gaia, rather than on some island somewhere...

I mean, wouldn't make too much sense for a stadium to be in a place where people have to take boats just to get there... bad for business.

Especially if Godzilla keeps terrorizing the seas..
PostPosted: Tue Feb 22, 2005 11:44 am

well you dont necessarily need boats to get to some islands

*points to the florida keys and any numerous inland islands connected by highways and bridges*

but the thing thats confused me the most was the fact that by the way people describe the forest around the arena, its a temperate forest, with no signs of sub-tropical, or tropical floura... which fromt eh assumption of beign an island confused the bloody soup out of me.

I mean I havent heard much about fighters with bleeding knees & shins from haveing to rush through the saw palmettos... (most common childhood injury at my former elementary school)

Alright then..thats another thing.

An updated write-up on the forest itself.

For the surrounding area what we need is map almost litterally like gaia has with the individual bbuildings, if we could get one of those i could convert it to an Image map (the same way image map sigs are made) and link the sections to their individual threads.. unfortunately we cant dot eh rollover part due to sig code restrictions but an image map should be sufficent without haveing to rely on a offsite-site.

I might be able to get a hold of Spearfrost, or at least Tagard, in order to get a scroll-typish map made up, and you can maybe work with that Jay.

First I need to know what to ask to be included in this map of course.

Jello, har har on the sign, bit. But seriously, what about within the "signs" there was embedding circuitry that (worked wit hteh circuitry to do the duties of a sign) gave off a sort of force field. The strudiness of this force field wouldn't be imprenetrable but strong enough to survive atleast one blow from the strongest of the fighter (in case they go into a temper tantrum and start wanting to hit their handagainst everything). Course then have to have a mechanic repair the forcefield generator to be back at 100%, anyways. The forcefield rejects any atomic signature approaching its given boundaries from the outside except for the remote signature that activates it and/or de-activates it. This is not to say that the "signs" couldn't be hacked into from an outside source, just a suggestion.
