I don't really have much to say about the GameStop that I go to, other than that almost every time I'm asked, "Do you need help finding anything." I just tell them that I'm just lookin', which I usually am, anyway. I do, however, have a good story about a couple of trips to the Gamer's Club that my school had. One time, someone had brought Soul Callibur II, and wanted to fight someone. A guy who had never played it was watchin' us. The guy I was versing picked Voldo, and I picked Nightmare. The guy watchin' asked, "Which one's better?" My opponent replied with, "Oh, my guy, definitely." I held my tounge. Round 1; he hits me ONCE, and I win. Round 2; Perfect KO. I then told the guy watchin', "Actually, it's whoever's better at controlling the character. If he were better at controlling the speedy guy, he could have beat me. But, well, you know." I loved the look at my defeated opponent's face. whee
Another time, I was back at gamers club, about a year or so later. There was a Guitar Hero tournament (sort of, those guys are SO unorganized), and I'm really good at it, so I went. When it was FINALLY my turn to play (I was the only girl), the guys were all giving me tips and trying to tell me how to play. I tried to tell them that I knew what I was doin', but they didn't listen at all. It's like they couldn't even hear me. But, when the song started (Jessica, on Expert), the only words I could hear were, "This girl sure knows what she's doin'..." Other than that, there were just sounds of awe. I beat the guy I was versin' by about double the points, by the way. They were very impressed with me by that point, but I didn't get another cance to play seeing as how the guy who brought the PS2 had to leave...

The only thing that ever happened to me, was that I once wanted to buy a pc game and read up on it on the internet. It had some bad reviews from some people who couldn't install it on their pc because of some problem (I think it was some copyright issue, I forgot, it was a long time ago). So I went to an electronics shop and asked one of the clerks there. He was just giving me weird looks and said that it was impossible, that this game works perfectly, there is no such thing as problems with the copyright. -__- I didn't buy the game.
Other than that I never wear "geek" stuff when I go to my local game store. I usually wear high heels and show a bit of cleavage xd I never got any weird looks because I scare the s**t out of the young boys and the clerks know I'm a gamer chick as soon as I start talking. Reading all the previous posts, a lot of self confidence really makes all the difference 3nodding

I actually kind of have much more of a tougher, tomboyish image, so they treat me pretty normal.
The workers at EB Games all recognize me, and tell me when new stuff gets put in the store. I've actually never been treated unequally at a video game store, I think they all assume that I'm a serious gamer by my image, and the games I ask about and such.
