Look what I found!I wish there were more than one PDF. 500 pages seems a bit excessive to be all in one, and it makes my computer run slowly.

I LEIK IT
Its a bit old and weird, but its Aymara danggit.
I have made basically no progress in Aymara, for kind of a long time. I need to do that. I think this semester I might actually have the time to now. My classes are easier than last semester, and I managed to get straight A's while totally slacking off. I just gotta turn that slacking into....language-make-do-learning time.

Yeah, I need to crack down too. I'm currently busy with starting the semester, though. I have the mornings free on every day but Saturday (argh, Saturday class!) to sit and learn Aymara.
I don't know if I've told anyone here yet; I am very strongly considering joining the Peace Corps and going to Bolivia, if they'll take me.

Er, it's not glottalization, it's ejectivization. The difference is subtle, but it's there. razz
At any rate, you pronounce them at the same time as a glottal stop. A good way to start would be to try to pronounce, say, 'da', but then bail out while pronouncing the [d] and say 'ta' instead.

BYU Aymara Center for Language Studies Although BYU does not currently offer courses or proficiency testing in Aymara, the Center for Language Studies will schedule courses in Aymara if a qualified teacher and sufficient student interest can be found. The Humanities Technology Research Support Center also offers a FLATS proficiency exam in Aymara. cool huh?
