Basil listened watching the other fidget which he found very cute... He kept his arm around the other... The tip of his tail flicked a bit as the other spoke.
Purring his reply to the other was pulling him and to warm ebrace and kissing the top of the others head lovingly. "you're adorable ~ I want to keep you forever and ever ~"
"I like you a lot to ~ You're...undescribable. You're amazing ~" He nuzzled the other gently.

Jigue hadn't been expecting Basil to pull him back, stiffening slightly as the confused feline regained his bearings about what was happening. He... was he accepting him? He was almost in denial to what was happening, thinking that nobody could like him for who he was, but he knew he was being unrealistic. He never really expected himself to fall for someone, let alone them falling in love with him, but who was he to say things couldn't change? They had before, after all, and mostly for the better; mostly through Basil.
He gripped onto the arms that wrapped around him, burying his nose in them again as he closed his eyes. "I wouldn't object to that," he murmured, smiling as he blushed. He figured he was getting a little carried away, caught up in the moment, but he also knew that it wasn't a bad thing. He was never one to open up to anyone before, and now that he had spilled his innermost feelings, he felt he could do anything!
With his confidence still controlling his moves, he reached a hand up to feel for Basil's face. Leaning up, he kissed the other on the cheek he wasn't holding with his hand, finally able to return the favor. "As are you," he replied with a purr.

Basil looked at the other and purred at the kiss. Moving only slightly, he kissed the other, pressing his lips against the other gently and lovingly. After a moment of letting his lips linger on the others, he stayed mere inches away as he looked at the others lips. "I want okeep you... keep you in a glass case for only myself ~"

Jigue blushed more visibly now, but for once it wasn't because of shock or feeling uncomfortable over a situation; on the contrary, he was in bliss. He knew the last time they had been together he hadn't wanted to leave the park, wishing the day would go on forever, but now... it had all been worth it. He never thought he'd be able to admit such deep feelings to anyone, let alone with them being accepted, but both of those fears were finally laid to rest. Basil accepted him for who he was whole-heartedly, and just that thought made him well up with emotion.
He fought back any tears that threatened to come, breathing once deeply, beaming. "You know you wouldn't have to do that, I'd stay with you regardless," he giggled, leaning over to put his head in Basil's lap. He was oblivious to anything else but Basil and his own feelings, comforted by his happiness.
"It's gotten rather warm, hasn't it?" Jigue mused after a moment, realizing just how much time had passed from when they had first come down to the beach. "You think it's going to get hot today? Or do you see any clouds?" he asked with a smile.

Basil purred and gently ran his fingers through the others hair, purring. At the comment about the heat he looked up at the sky. "Not a cloud in the sky to ruin this beautiful day ~"
Tail flicking he looked at the other. "I think it will be decently warm, but we're at the beach so there's a constant breeze. I think It will be perfect ~"

Jigue knew that under any other circumstance the feeling of fingers running through his strawberry-blonde hair would make him jump, even if he was expecting it. However, he mused, he was in such a relaxed state, one he hardly remembered ever being in in his life, that such a thing didn't even phase him negatively. It must have been a sign, even a mild one, that this was meant to be. Nobody had ever touched him in such a deep way before, not even family, and it felt so right, like heaven in itself. He never knew such simple actions like these could make one putty, but who was he to deny what was happening here, what he felt? It never paid off to argue with what was written in stone.
"I'm glad to hear that," the pale feline purred, eyes facing the sky but only being able to discern light from the view. "Though I'm not sure that rain or hail could ruin this day; it's too perfect already." Although it might put a damper on things, he didn't think his happiness could be extinguished too easily.
His ears twitched as the sound of birds overhead, thinking that they sounded as happy as he felt. "I don't think I've ever been happier than I am now," he said, his grin never leaving his face. "You just make me feel so free, I don't need to hide anything from you."

Basil chuckled lightly and continued to purr pleasantly, happy the other was so relaxed. It was so nice compared to how tense he was when he first met him. He continued running his fingers through the others as he grinned.
"Im glad ~ It's a wonderful feeling, happiness is. As far as hiding anything, you needn't do that since the beginning."

Jigue sighed at the comment Basil gave him about how his tenseness had disappeared, but it wasn't necessarily a frustrated one. A smile crept onto his face afterward, placing the palm of his hand onto the hand that was stroking his head. "I know, but I can't help but to protect myself from the world. So many bad things happen every day, I didn't want myself to be counted among those people. But, I must admit, I felt something different from you that day. Most people who stroll through the park have something bad tugging at their conscience, even if they don't realize it. I didn't feel that from you; you were just there to have a good time. I could tell you had a good heart," he tried to explain, but things one couldn't see were difficult to communicate. He felt that Basil would know what he meant, though.
His smile widened as he went on, "You showed me true happiness, Basil, not just the everyday kind. I thank you for that."

Basil purred and chuckled. As the other put his hand on his, he turned his over so he could intertwine them so he was holding the others hand. Tail flicking slightly as he listened he kissed the others pale hand before nuzzling it against his cheek.
"Bad things happen... but so do good ones." He held the others hand o his cheek as he continued to speak. 'Im glad I could do such a great thing ~ Im honored."

Jigue giggled, squeezing at the hand that turned around in his own. It was interesting to be able to feel someone else's fingers like this, especially when the hands were used to doing so many different things than his own. Who knew an artist's and a musician's hand textures could be so different?
His smile never left his face, even for a moment, even if his voice dropped down to a more serious tone. "I know that bad things happen every day, and people usually don't take that into consideration. However, some people are also just naturally defensive and grouchy, just because they haven't trained themselves to be happy about the things they have. I should know; a lot of times I was like that, too. Seems like so long ago now, though, when I'm with you. It's like it's impossible to be like that when I'm around you." His grin grew wider as he said that, laughing a little in happiness.

"Im glad ~" His tail flicked and wrapped itself around the other as he shifted a hand to run through the others hair adoringly. That was right... The cat adored Jigue ~ He was so cute and lovable. Purring he gently nuzzled the others cheek.
He wasnt worried one bit, nothing bad could come from this or Jigue.
