Kaori's face fell slightly, barely noticible unless someone was looking for the change, when she saw Abels armor return. In some way's she could see how he might keep a mask up, she did it herself most of the time, but it pained her slightly to realize that he did not quite trust her enough yet to reveal himself for long. She nodded though, he was right. "I'll show ou where the guest rooms are, do you think you could help me carry her to one of them?" she asked as she pushed herself off of the couch. She was still a little weak on her fee from the drain she had forced on herself, but she could manage.

Aida murmured and shook her head, still on the verge of wakefullness. "Just... fine... thank yo...zzzz." The gentle crack and pop of the fire was soothing, even if, objectively, she knew that the fire could very easily turn her into a pile of ashes. Still, she remembered being a kid, curling up by the fire while her father read from an old book, helping her mother mend clothes or card wool... Those had been good days. She sighed, her mind filling with images of days gone by, sweetly distant days when her family had loved her and all had been well. The images blurred into peaceful dreams for the first time in what felt like forever.

"I would say that most are religious, as for the rest, well... they are starting to see the truth." In Warren's opinion, the attacks on the livestock and humans was truly a blessing in disguise. While it was unfortunate that humans had to die, in the end it only served to attract a large amount of non-members into the faith. Each time a sermon was given in the church, he saw more and more members there to partake in the religion's lessons.
As Darius bowed his head, Warren smiled and said, "No trouble at all, to help ones fellow man is one of the main lessons of the church. In regards to what I do here, let us just say I enforce the churches teachings, and if you do have any info for me, feel free to leave it at the inn I mentioned, or at the hunter's chapel in the church."
Warren's suspicions that this man was a liar were confirmed. The man did not correct Warren when he told him the location of an inn as opposed to where to get a new pair of traveling boots as he previously inquired. While he still kept in mind the possibility that the man could have merely forgot, Warren knew that it would be worth watching a man who would lie to the face of a fully armed hunter. Continuing to stare straight into the eyes of the man, he asked, "Excuse me, so that I may know who the information is from, may I ask for your name, friend?"

Abe nodded briefly, it wasn't a matter of trust, he had known her longer than Aida. But there had always been something about the innocence of a child that made him forget that things had been awful then. He turned to look over his shoulder at Aida's now sleeping form, slightly startled that she had murmured something, which had been totally inaudible to him. He turned as she had finally fell to sleep.
Moving across the room in few steps, as his legs were so long, he knelt down beside her. Abel placed one arm behind her head, and as gently as he could as not to wake her, he slid his othr arm under her knees. He struggled up from his knees, still a bit weak, and sore. Then turning to Kaori, he waited silently for her to show him to the rooms.

Kaori had moved to help him, but by the time she got to his side he was already at his full height. She was about to ask if he wanted help, but then shut her mouth. From what she had seen of him so far, he would refuse anyway. Instead se turned down a hall and gestured with her head. "The rooms are this way. She will probably be comfortable in my old room, there's a fireplace in there as well, she seemed to like the sounds of the wood popping. I can light that one, you can stay in my parents old room if you'd like. It's really comfortale, but I never use it." As she talked, Kaori led Abel to her childhood room. Opening the door, she went and grabbed some sheets and blankets from a chest. She also moved to close the shutters and curtains, not certain on how sensitive she was to the light.

Abel followed her down the her down the hall, stopping in the doorway and watching her in silence. He glanced down at Aida, just to make sure she was alright, and still sleeping peacefully. He leaned casually against the doorway, his gray eyes following her around the room. He admired how hard she worked, especially for a couple of strangers, who cold bring not much more than trouble, especially from the new religon.
Deep down he felt bad, he wished he could do something more. He wasnt stupid, he had seen the looks on her face, knew she kept holding back from offering help. He had just chosen to ignore them. He had demon blood coursing through his veins, he could handle it. He still internally kicked himself, for getting distracted, and letting Kolette get the best of him. He knew she blamed herself, and he still wish he wouldn't gotten so distracted so early, and put an end to Kolette, and all the grief she caused Kaori.

Kaori finished making the bed and put a case over the pillow. Closing the trunk, she turned back to Abel, a small smile on her face. "If you want to lay her down, I'll start up a fire and then show you where my parents room is." Turning back to the fireplace, she grabbed a few logs that had been in here. The witch kept them in every room with a fireplace, just in case. Laying the logs out, she mummered few words and a small fire sprang to life. It quickly started to eat at the logs, and was soon crackling as mearily as the fire in the main room.

Abel nodded again, content with being silent, he mad his way over to the bad, laying Aida gently down. Standing over her a moment before turning and taking a step as he was standing behind her, his bare arms crossed across his chest. He watched, intrigued, as she lit the fire, his head tilting slightly. He had always wanted to do things like that, but the most he could do was switch forms and fight. Which Abel had always found to not be much of anything.
Abel sighed lightly, his gaze shifting to the crackling fire, feeling the wave of warmth wash over his cold bare chest. "Sounds good to me. . ." Abel's voice was little more than a murmur as he was distracted in his own thoughts, watching the fire.

Kaori stood up and smiled lightly at him. Walking out of the room, she started down the hallway. About halfway to her parents old room, she paused, leaning against the wall slightly. She was still recovering her energy from calling the shadows, and starting that fire hadn't helped, even though it had used little of her power. After a moment, she pushed off from the wall and walked into her parents room. "There's a fireplace in here as well, if you like, I could start one for you." She opened the chest that was in this room too, lifting out a pile of sheets and blankets, sheking off the momentary dizziness that had descended on her.

Abel had again followed her down the hall, stopping next to her as she had. His gray gaze was one of concern and yet it deepened as she pushed off and continued down the hall. He sighed, and followed her, opening his mouth to say something, but choosing not to. He nodded, this time responding. "That would be gre-"
Abel's sentence cut off as he noticed the sudden change in her as she had gotten dizzy. "Kaori? You alright. . . ? Here, lemme take that." Abel walked swiftly across the room towards her as he spoke. As he got nearer he reached out for the sheets and things she held. He couldn't sit back and watch as she worked in such a state as she was.

Darius smiled as he raised his head and sucked on the toothpick. “Most religious eh? Well then, best remember that as not to offened anyone. Darius looked up and scratched the eye behind the blue bandana and then scratech his chin. “As for my name, well my name isn’t all that important. Let’s just leave our meeting with the fact that you and I will most likely seeing more of each other, especially since our goals and professions are similar in nature and purpose.” Darius shifted the weight of his traveling pack and gave Warren a knowing wink as he bit down on the toothpick as he turned to the church and began to stride towards the entrance of the building. He had caught the words hunters’ chapel and he could do with a few additional weapons before he set about scouring this town from top to bottom.

Kaori smiled and nodded her thanks as she took the sheet that was on top of the pile. "Thank you, Abel," She said as she laid it out and tucked the edges in. "I'm still just a bit run down." She finished making the bed, turning to him when she as done. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll just start the fire." Turning towards the fireplace, she started to pile the logs on the small grate that was set in it.

Abel shook his head, "No, Kaori, It's fine, just go get some rest. I'll be fine without it. . . " Abel turned from her, fixating the other blankets and pillow case in his hands. His long thin fingers working furiously, their paleness contrasting against the color of the fabric. He hadn;t done this in so long, It was weird, and yet It was a relief, he was so tired of the random roadside inn, just the thought exhausted him. Shaking the thoughts from his mind, he realized the job he was doing was more than quite a bit sloppy. Grumbling under his breath, Abel tugged here and there, trying to straighten out the mess he'd made, but in the end he just pulled it back up and started over.
"And maybe we can find more about Aida tomorrow. . . " Abel spoke this as more of an outloud thought. He himself was curious, and wondered if Kaori was as curious as he was. Probably not, but it would give the young woman to think about as she drifted off. But mostly, he was tring to distract her from his work, at least until she left.
Kolette glanced the traveler up and down, two things seemed to catch her attention more than anytjhing else. Even over his heigth and how thin he was, oh how like the damned half-demon whom she had recently rendezvoused with, who now plagued her mind. Atleast she had gotten one good wound on him, knowing she could have finished him off was worse for knowing.
That toothpick that Darius had been moving, and to Kolette, it seemed quite obsessively from one side of his mouth to the other, was one thing that she had noticed. And Secndly, was the bandana, it could have simply been self-consciousness over a bum, or strange eye. But for some reason Kolette believed otherwise, not with a weapon like that would someone be self-conscious over something so minor. But Kolette simply watched, figuring Warren could handle it, even as he refused so smoothly to teling his name.
Kolette's eyes shifted to Warren's face, wondering if he was getting annoyed yet. Even as he said about the religion, quite to the affect that he did knowing he was trying to figure more about this man, without being so blunt, and slightly unintelligable then just asking.

Warren continued to stare ahead as Darius moved behind him, but as Darius was passing, Warren quietly said, "It's difficult enough trying to hunt the damned without having my own brethren lie to me for their own self amusement, try to remember that won't you." With the comment on similar professions, Warren had decided that either the man was a hunter for the church, or for other purposes. Regardless, it sounded as if he was an ally against the enemies of god, however, Warren did not like being lied to, be it by human or non. He knew that there were many in the world who could not be trusted, and when his own allies lied to him, it only made his job harder than it already was.
Looking back to Kolette, Warren gave a slight bow before saying, "Forgive me m'lady, I did not mean to waste your time, merely helping a fellow man in need." Warren did not want to tell Kolette that the man was a hunter, after all, he did not know her well enough to tell how she would react. This could be a problem, especially when Warren wasn't entirely sure if Darius actually was a hunter.
"Once again I must inquire, where do you wish to speak with me that we may not be under the inquisitive eyes and ears of those not intended to know of such matters?" As he had previously mentioned, Warren still believed that the best places would either be outside of town, in the hunter's inn, or in the vampire Thalen's previous estate.
