I hate Kataang!!! Mainly because I hate Katara with all my heart. evil evil evil
Okay... this is my list of favorite characters:
Toph
Aang
Everyone else on the show
all the animals that don't have names and are just floating about in the background
(ex. the birds flying across the sky. And yes, that's better than Katara. I mean, seriously, it adds BEAUTY to the scenery whereas Katara adds absolutely NOTHING)
Okay...after the animals does NOT come Katara. She comes...after plants and trees and dirt and oxygen. Those aren't characters, I know. But if Katara is even ALLOWED TO BE A CHARACTER, then all of those should get credit for being characters too! The rabbaroo dung should be a character! The bacteria ON the dung! The cabbage guy's cabbages!

So then list out every worst thing you can think of at all...list...list ...etc.....etc..........
Then at the very bottom you have Katara. There is nothing that equals her, or that is worse than her. That's how horrible it is. And then you wonder if she's ever going to realize how horrible she is. Though, you cannot blame anyone. razz The poor voice actress... sad Mae Whitman right? I have nothing against her. Just the character she plays. Katara doesn't even deserve the name Katara. razz Sure, Katara is pretty (actually, she's ugly to me because I see her for who she TRULY IS, but that's besides the point) but she's got the lamest moves ever. I mean seriously! At least make her moves INTERESTING. I don't even like waterbending moves to begin with, but Katara has to go out there and prove me all wrong! Sheesh... at least Master Paku's moves are cool. And Katara's eyes...oh my Glaux...that's what really gets me...They ARE THE EYES OF HAGGISH DEMONS!! From the depths of hagsmire! They are...scary...and creepy...and make me want to throw a gigantic ball of fire at her stupid face!!!!!!

Sorry...xD I was swept up into my deep hatred for frinkin' Katara that I didn't even realize that I was supposed to be bashing Kataang. XD I hope that's all right....

And if there's isn't a thread, shall I make one? In fact...there should be a thread dedicated to Katara-haters! Or a debate? LOL...no, not a debate between Katara-lovers/haters...that would get...messy. xd But, in my opinion , there should be a whole guild dedicated to bashing Katara!!

GUYS!! OMFG!!! You guys need 2 chill! I agree wit both of you. I know that Katara is just plain unnerving, and I don't really like her, but you NEED to give some actual REASON to hate her THAT much!! You can't just say that she is the worst character nest to the crap and the bacteria on the crap (that was a very funny statement, by the way! I laughed SO hard when I read your post!!), without giving some reasonable explanation!

(For those horrible heathens who've never seen Trigun, it's basically a big metal cross equipped with weapons. The long bottom bit is a rifle, the short top bit is a rocket-launcher, and the two arms carry pistols. It is made of such epic win.)

That was a post made by one person that has already been bashed by many others. Not all of us believe that s**t about Katara. We already know how much of a dumbshit someone who bashes a fictional character is.

Wow, even for a bashing forum, this is kind of intense, eh? sweatdrop Well, that's Gaia for you, I guess. Butterfly Nebula I agree with those who say they might pull a Digimon on us (have the expected main-characters pairing FALL APART and have the chick go with the other guy), but then I think that the chances are better of them just going along with Kataang. You know, that is EXACTLY what Kataang vs Zutara reminds me of. It's Taiora vs Sorato all over again, only way scarier. I still haven't decided which side I'm on for this war. In Digimon, I was on the Taiora side, and lost. sad For Avatar... I'm strongly tempted to ship BOTH, just to spite everyone. To be completely honest, though, I think that in canon, Kataang is going to win. There's just not enough episodes left to go through: Katara forgiving Zuko> Katara and Zuko getting together> Aang having to deal with the heartbreak of loosing Katara> Aang potentially falling for someone else. You know, along with everything else the episodes need to cover, like the main plot. However, anything goes for me in fanon. If something is well written (or well-drawn in the case of fanart), then any ship can work. I also feel the need to defend the Sokkla ship. Yes, it's crack. We KNOW it's crack. The appeal of this ship is that together, Sokka and Azula really COULD rule the world.

I believe that Mike and Bryan could pull it off, if they wanted to. They're smart puppies, and they could make it happen.
How are Katara's interactions with her peers unimportant to the story? Relationships between the characters are essential to the main plot makeup. If the characters never interacted, then there would be no story.
My views on Zutara have already been made very clear in this thread.
@Stefanie: PSHACK! (That was supposed to be a whip noise, but it failed pretty immensely.)
