At the moment I'm reading The Keys To The Kingdom series by Garth Nix. They are really good, unfortunately there are only 4 books out, I'm on the third one.

Actually, I just finished #5 (Lady Friday) a few weeks ago. Currently working on the Dresden Files series and also Innocent in Death by J.D. Robb.

For some reason I have read more fanfiction than anything else lately, and if I'm going to write up all the fanfictions, no matter how short, that I have read, it's gonna take too long to track them down and get em all in order with credit to the author, links and fandoms.

Well, I just finished reading Cut by Patricia McCormick.

It was pretty dark and slightly depressing but a good read nonetheless.

Recently Finished: The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
I must say that I greatly enjoyed this novel, even if the middle dragged on a bit. The author seems to switch between a desire to write a masterpiece and compose a bestseller throughout the novel, but it's still good to read nonetheless when you consider that they're hunting for the historical Dracula.

Currently Reading: Shinsengumi: The Shogun's Last Samurai Corps by Romulus Hillsborough
So far this is proving to be a most informative source on the Shinsengumi. I am committed to purchasing my own copy of this book when I next place an order online, unless I happen to see it at stores. At the moment I will say that anyone interested in Japanese history should check it out if they can.

I have ten more pages and them I'm done with American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis. It's the first book that's ever scared me. I love it. I've always thought I was broken because my friends all pee their pants over Stephen King and I didn't, but Ellis gives me nightmares surprised

And tonight I'm going to start on Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. It sounds pretty interesting.

After having seen the movie several times, I've thought that would be a good book to read. And you're not the only one who never wet their pants reading Stephen King.

Recently Finished: Volumes three and four of Read or Dream; Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, by James Patterson; Before Midnight: A Retelling of Cinderella, by Cameron Dokey
Currently Reading: Macbeth, by William Shakespeare; Maximum Ride: School's Out - Forever, by James Patterson

I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm just going to go with the most recent stuff that I've gone through, since it'd be too many to name otherwise.

Read or Dream is kinda like Read or Die, only...better. In my opinion, at least, since I really, really liked this manga. 3nodding I think it might be by the same guy, too. There are four volumes in this manga series, and it's quite interesting to read.

I'm reading Macbeth in school; we've actually finished reading it already, but I have to take a unit test on Monday or so, so it's still up there.

Maximum Ride. I'm summing up my thoughts on both of the books up there, since they're equally good. I found this at the library earlier this week - they just struck my eye, really - and I haven't been able to put them down. I finished the first one today, after starting it yesterday, and I'm already halfway through the second! Seriously awesome.

Before Midnight is another of Dokey's Once Upon a Time books, which retell stories like Cinderella and Snow White. I haven't read all of them, but this one's my favorite so far. I like it so much better than the Disney version!

On the topic of Stephen King...I haven't actually read any of his books (since I creep out when it comes to stuff that's supposed to be scary)(besides, they're way too big to take to school, which throws me off), but I have watched two of his movies. Both of them creeped me out...well, the ending to Carrie, at least. All of Rose Red scared me, but I would probably watch it again, since I haven't seen it in a few years...

Recently Finished: Macbeth, by William Shakespeare; Maximum Ride: School's Out - Forever, by James Patterson; The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick; Fairest, by Gail Carson Levine; Snatched, by Pete Hautman and Mary Logue; 101 Ways to Bug Your Parents, by Lee Wardlaw
Currently Reading: Stonewolf, by Brenda Seabrooke

Wow, I'm definitely back to the old reading urges...I haven't been able to stop reading. That's what, five books in five days? Wow...

We're handing in Macbeth tomorrow! *can't wait* Though I must say, I think I liked this work of Shakespeare's better than a lot of his others.

Maximum Ride was awesome, all the way through. The next volume of the series comes out next week! whee

The Invention of Hugo Cabret was a book that my mom took out of the library, thinking I might like it, and I did. I took it with me when I went to bingo, and read the entire book while I was there, all 520 or so pages of it (a lot of them were pictures, though, which made it cool). It was very interesting.

I didn't realize that Fairest was sort've like another version of Snow White until towards the end half of the book, but a friend took one look at the cover and realized it, and I could see a lot of similarities once I was looking again. I especially liked the singing parts.

Snatched was something that caught my own eye in the library, and it was an interesting book, though I'm not about to place it on my 'favorite' list. Just an interest-level thing.

101 Ways to Bug Your Parents is a kid's book, and I've read it before, but not in a very long time. It was almost like reading it for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. It's humorous (especially #42, if anyone ever takes a look at it).

Finally, the book I'm reading now: Stonewolf. I haven't gotten very far (well, okay, I'm on page 3), but it already sounds like a good book. Can't wait to keep reading it.

i had to read it, although it was pretty interesting. the life of people back then amazes me. i wouldn't be able to do it. i would've killed myself long ago if i had to deal with that.

Stonewolf wasn't on my list of favorites, either, but it's still good enough.

Listening for Lions is very nice so far. I'm not done with it yet, but I'm enjoying it a lot.
