Zane quickly reacted to the sudden attack, leaping out of the way and swiftly to the nearest tree. Then he paused and looked around in alert. The thunderous stomp of footprints could be heard, hundreds of thousands of footprints blended into one continuous, thunderous sound. Zane leapt higher into the trees, ignoring the others below, until he could see above the canopy. Off in the distance, coming ever nearer, was an immense army of unseen proportions since the First Great War between the Gods and Demons. At the back, Zane could faintly see a chariot pulled by black bears. 'It has begun,' he thought. The Devil's Peak Army had begun its assault, the queen in command. "You have fun with the army, I'm going to go get paid!" Zane hollered back at the princess as he took the form of a bird and flew straight towards the queen.
The queen was a ghastly person, sunken eyes, pale skin, ebony black hair and clothes, and a wraithly voice that caused even the most secure to shudder. She was a witch, in the literal sense; her weapon was a dark wand that was crooked and old. Her chariot, pulled by two black bears, was highly decorative. Her army consisted of every soul in Devil's Peak who could fight, and thanks to her powers of mind control, there would not by any resistance. Next to her in her chariot was her lackey, Stone. He was an old, shriveled speck of a person, hardly alive. Yet he was the only one who proved immune to her mind control. She saw potential in him, and used his fear to make him her slave, so to speak. Stone pointed up in the air at a small black bird. It flew and perched on the chariot. "Hello, Zane," the queen said in her ghastly voice. "Where's my pay, I killed the king, queen, and a princess." Zane said, getting strait to business. "I'm afraid your services are no longer needed," the queen replied, and with a flick of her wrist the bird was sent flying over 30 feet away from her.
"What the..." Zane was startled by her reaction. Zane was greatly weakened by the blow, knocked to the ground and too weak to get up. Luckily since the queen's chariot was at the rear of the army, he had no chance of being trampled for the army had passed. 'No one recieves Zane's service without paying the price,' Zane thought to himself. He swore revenge.

Aurelia stumbled past Zane, struggling to halt her charge. She whipped back around, sword swinging, only to miss her target as he leapt into the trees. It was then that she felt the earth start to shake. She froze on the spot, sword held out in front of her. The vibrations rumbeled up through her legs, and she instantly knew what it meant. She looked over at Aurora, a manic grin on her face. "They're here," she breathed, and let a scream rip out of her lungs. It was a mixture of elation and rage, and echoed through the trees along with the rumbling footsteps of the army. She took off at a run, crashing heedlessly through brambles and underbrush, leaping fallen logs in her haste to reach the army. She burst upon a clearing, recently created by the myriad forces. Ahead of her was a billowing cloud of dust, pouring off the heels of the Devil's Peak. She set off after it.

Aurora too felt the ground shake and shuddered as she watched Zane fly up into the sky. She turned to look at Aurelia to see her crazed look. She was goig to try to stop her but sh e was gone. Aurora mind began to race. Her mother, father, sister dead, and now Devil's Peak has unleashed thier forces on her kingdom. "I need to get back to the castle," she said out loud as she thought. She put her fingers to her lips whistled a soft call. It didn't seem very loud at first but it echoed through the forest. Then she turned to Dorian ot see if he was going abandon her as well in pursiut of the army.

Dorian's eyes fade back into a frosted blue hue. He looks around him and shakes his head."you need to get out of here, I'll assist you." He looks around and then back at Aurora. "Do you know where to retreat to? I have no clue where we are exactly."

"Thank you," Aurora said half surprised by the kind offer. "I never really learned military strategy; goes to show you that parents do know what is best," she said sighing. "My brother has been studying such material. I need to get back to the Castle and see what I'm to do from there." She finished speaking and turned around s she heard soft thuds coming closer.
Into the small clearing leaped a large white stag. Aurora took a step back as the stag skidded to a halt. Then it walked up to Aurora till it was almost nose to nose. Aurora bowed her head for a moment then stroked his velvet nose and turned back to Dorian. " This my friend, Fionntán. He will let us ride him to the castle, if you wish,” she said her voice calmer.
((Umm ok I really never actually did a war scenario on a rp (usually the rp died before then >.< ) so please forgive me if my character acts un accordingly.))

He smiles and bows his head in respect to the stag. "Thank you Aurora. If anything is to happen though." He motions to help her mount Fionntán. "I want you to not look back, just keep riding." His hand still extended for her to take his offer.
"As well you are still wounded. And by the manner of your speak I take it that your royalty." Looking a bit amused, He stands next to Fionntá readying himself to help her.

As she neared the back of the column, Aurelia began to feel the first nagging doubts about her mission forming in her mind. She hadn't done much thinking recently. She'd done a lot, though. She'd beaten the Devil's Peak army to Rideron, for one thing. And she'd done that only after surviving the sacking of Waterways. She'd lost her entire family, and that was what had been fueling her. But would it last? For the first time, she asked herself this question, and had to admit that no, it would not. A girl with a sword that she doesn't know how to use could not make any difference, no matter how angry she was. Despair suddendly welled up inside her, and forced its way out through her eyes as bitter tears. And yet she ran on, the tears turning to mud in the dust kicked up by the massive army ahead of her. It was unfair. She had come this far, a bare hundred yards from the bastards who had murded her family and everyone she had ever known. She should be able to do something, anything at all. And yet, there was nothing. The despair rapidly turned into frustration, and then seething rage. These were murderers ahead of her, soulless killers now a stone's throw away. They had no right living after causing so much destruction. And they were going to do it again, tonight. Something inside Aurelia clicked. She was no longer running after revenge. She was running after justice, and she knew for a fact that justice could fuel her for as long as she needed. She was no warrior, but she was damn well going to try. She stooped to the trampled earth, and picked up a large teardrop shaped rock. Taking a deep breath, she cocked her arm back and took aim at the largest chariot she could see, pulled by bears and at the very back of the column. She let it fly, straight and true, at the Queen's chariot.

Aurora looked Dorian in the eye as she reached out for his hand. "That is understood, you have my word," she said accepting his offer, Fionntán gave a snort. At the same time a grim smile played across her face. "Yes, I am Princess Aurora Rideron of Rideron Kingdom. By the manner that you speak and the kind gestures you have made to me lead me to believe that your appearance is quite deceiving. You speak as a noble soldier would in my Father's Court," she said and turned to mount the Stag. She gritted her teeth and braced her self for the pain that was going to come. If she could back to the castle fast enough, she had a painkiller freshly prepared from much earlier that morning.

(Sorry I was off so long)
From a distance he sat on the back of the stallion and grinned as this shape shifter was unsettled from his hiding place and forced to flee. 'Well time to help' he said to himself as he sent the horse into a trot, with a short kick.
"May I be of some elp sir?" he said in the cut short manner of deckhands,” I can see at you and your lady frends are in need of sum."

after helping Aurora mount Fionntán as gentily as possable. Once he mounts the stag he notices a familiar aura. He looks up at the man atop of his stallion. "...well actually we where leaving. But thank you for your offer." He continues to stare at the man with an unsettled sence of nerve.

Aurora recognized the horse. "Thank you for the kind offer, sir, but you should ride the steed yourself," she said watching the man carefully. She has been amongst the beggars and poor of the town surrounding the castle, but nobody spoke like him. Fionntán lowered his massive set of antlers. She patted the stag gently, but he made no motion to raise his head back up. "We must be going, the forest is growing more dangerous as we speak. I suggest you do the same, sir," she said as she patted the stag once more, he reluctantly raise his head.

Zane awoke to the smell of burning. The army had reached the outskirts of the forest and were burning it. Revenge was the only thing on Zane's mind. He knew what the queen wanted most, control of everything. But as long as a Rideron Monarch Family member lived, there was someone to lead an army against her. So, his new mission, protect the princess. Zane took the form of a large hawk and flew off at blazing speeds towards the forest, He flew over the army, sneaking through their Sky Riders and towards the city. Sky Riders were archers who rode on the backs of unfathomably large birds that could hold the wheight of over 20 full grown men and their baggage. Anyways, he noticed the queen on a horse with some other figures he couldn't quite make out. Zane began to descend.

Aurora looked at the man carefully. "Alright," She said slowly. "Hang on," she said to Dorian and the Stag leaped away. Trusting the stag to lead her to safety, Aurora looked around. She thought she started to smell smoke and when she glanced up she saw something dark descending over them. She squinted a little more and got the picture of some kid of bird. What ever it was, it was keeping pace with them.
