Skiaska stared at the spot where she had thoguht she saw a man. Looking down at her bottle she sighed. "Crap..." Dumping both items in a nearby trash can, she let curiousity guide her. "Meh. I already know what's here... I'll go topside." She smiled once gain at the security and went towards the bar. Looking around, she smirked at a random guy. Hmmm... Why not spice up my night aroudn here? She walked over to the man, swaying her hips to the loud music.

Suddenly, she stopped, her ear twitching as her hood fell back. She sniffed, noticing something weird. She went towards the same place she had come from. The Haven. Entering catiously, she headed to the Generator Room. Why did it smell different than it did before? She growled in frustration. I am so freakin' confused! With that, she entered.

Jackson stood there next to the table for a good ten minutes, but the vampiric Hunter never answered him Sighing, he moved off back towards the dance floor. "Alright, if you don't want to talk to me then that's your business and I'm not going to stick my nose in it. Have a good night."

Moving back into the flowing mob of the dance floor, he began bucking and swaying to the music, letting the beat run through his body and flood his senses. Ah..., he thought. This is freedom, this is living, this is what being alive is all about. Living life to the fullest in everything you do. THIS is what I fight to protect.

He danced and danced, allowing the throb and pulse of the speakers to wash his worries and fears away until only his movements and the music remained.

She leaned against a wall, out of the light. She tapped her foot to the music's beat, watching the dancers. She felt no urge to join them, no urge to do anything really except to stand there and listen and watch.

She soon became bored again, and pushed herself off of the wall. Instead of joining the dancers, she walked out of the bar, grabbing her umbrella before she left. She wanted to see what she could find in the city.

As he danced, Will noticed Lydia watching the dancers before grabbing her umbrella and walking out of the building. Still dancing, he frowned in concern as he contemplated the slightly younger Hunter. What could have happened to her? She seems totally alien to human contact. Even those of us that have lost everything we knew in our lives, like Kerrigan, still know how to interact with others and live it up. But her... It's like she's lived in a cage all of her life, and now that's she's out of her prison she has no idea of what to do or how to act.

No longer in the mood for dancing, Jackson strode away from the dance floor and off to the storage room, intending to go down into Haven and brood over the mystery that Lydia presented and how he could help her.

She came back in from the rain, done with her walk through the city. She put her umbrella where it had been before, and took a seat at the bar again. She turned the stool to face the dancers, absently watching them and listening to the music.

As he was walking towards the storage room, William happened to glance back and caught sight of Lydia, returned from her walk. Changing direction, he headed over to the bar manned by "Hunter". "Hey Hunter, can I get a couple of non-alocholic drinks? Say.... hmmm, a pair of strawberry daquaris, no tequila. Alright?"

Wilson just smiled broadly at the young Hunter leader while he whipped up the requested drinks with both efficency and style before handing them over to him. "Here ya' go, Billy me lad. So, you be tryin' to hook up with some fine lass now then, eh?"

Will chuckled and shook his head lightly before walking off towards Lydia. "Something like that, I guess. Later, Hunter."

Weaving through the crowd, he soon reached Lydia, who hadn't noticed him. Clearing his throat, he held one of the red colored, icy drinks out to her. "A round piece of copper with Honest Abe's portrait on it for your thoughts?"

He smiled at her, trying to give her encouragement, reassurance that he meant no harm. "Why don't we go to that table over there, sit down, chat a little, and enjoy these fine drinks that Hunter whipped up for us? Don't worry, I made sure that it's non-alcoholic."

She looked at him, somewhat confused. A copper piece with Abraham Lincoln on it? Oh, he meant a penny. She took the drink, looking at it for a moment before getting up and following him. "What did you want to talk about?"

So she didn't reject my suggestion outright, eh? Good, we're making progress.

He smiled as the two of them settled at a table. "I don't know, what do you want to talk about Lydia?"

He frowned as she remained silent and uncertain. What is wrong with her? Why does she...

Will paused as he thought he recognized an emotion in Lydia's eyes. Fear. She's... afraid? What is she scared of?

Determination glinted in Will's eyes for a moment as he looked at her. After a moment of contemplation, he began speaking in a soft voice. "I know, why don't we talk about what it means to be a leader. A leader has three concerns. The mission. His people. And only then can he worry about himself. NOTHING will stop a leader from protecting his people, even if it costs his life. Their safety is his first and most important concern. I'm your leader, Lydia... and I hope that you're my friend. I think you need to know what that means. It means that I WOULD DIE FOR YOU. You don't need to fear the past, you don't need to fear the present, and you don't need to fear what the future might bring, because I would do anything to protect you and the others. You are safe here. I promise."

She raised an eyebrow. What was he trying to get at here? "I am not afraid." She said, but then amended her statement. "At least, not afraind of what you think I am. I just....want to forget." She looked sad and unsure. She felt so confused. "You said before that I am safe here."

"Yes, Lydia, you're safe here. I wouldn't have told you that you were if I didn't think it was the truth. Even if Hunter's was overrun, we'd be able to hold out against anything short of a full fledged army down in Haven. And even if Haven was attacked and overrun, we'd be able to escape into the sewers and go to another safehouse to regroup. The whole purpose of Hunter's and Haven is that all of us are safe here, safe from anything or anyone that would try to hurt us."

Will grinned slyly and raised his glass to her. "What can I say, there are advantages to joining and allying yourself with a group of very dangerous and skilled people with enough arms, ammunition, and supplies to start a small scale war."

He tipped the glass back into his mouth and let the cool, icy liquid inside it slide down his parched throat. Almost instantly a slight headache came and went. Ah, the joys of brain freeze. That'll teach me not to knock the whole thing back in one gulp.

Setting the glass down, he again stared seriously at Lydia. "So then what are you afraid of? You don't have to tell me. But I've learned that talking about your fears is usually helpful since there's something deep inside of each of us that seeks human comfort, and I would hope that you can trust me enough to confise in me as a leader and as a friend. So, what's on your mind?"

She dipped her finger into the drink, trailing it around the edge of the glass. She looked up at Jackson, still tracing the rim of the glass, creating slight ripple in the liquid. "Might I have one of the rooms in Haven?" She asked, and then bent her head down to hide a smile. "I doubt you would want to know what is on my mind anyway. It is usually frightfully boring."

Getting to the top floor, she smirked and rushed into the dance floor, leavign Krii'Ouse behind, blending in with the people. "Fast song!" With that said, everyone around her, and herself, were dancing wildly, pressing their bodies together. Wonder if he'll ever find me in this mess...

Skiaska smiled, showing she was enjoying the vigorous dancing. Looking around, she saw Krii'Ouse trying to get towards her. Practically smothering herself, she squeezed between two people and found him. "Hey! Why aren't you dancing?!" She yelled a little over the music.

As the song began to slow, Skiaska's movements become more careful, precise, and a little more... interesting. "C'mon, Krii'Ouse..." She smiled at him as she tipped back her head.

After a momentary conversation and greeting with the two under-cover hunters at the front door of the club/bar, Len entered Hunter's, pressing his sun glasses up instinctively at the immediate attack of the bright lights. He grinned and headed past those who were dancing on the bright dance floor and drinkers that watched to the sides. He looked around to see that Lydia had already returned and infact sat with William. He shook his head, water flailing out of his hair, it soon becoming rather dry again. He nodded in satisfaction as he headed over and pulled up a seat up for himself.

"Ah, Lydia and William, how are you folks today?" He said, breathing in deep and waving his hand for an alchoholic beverage of any sort to be broughten to him. As a Samual Adams made it's way in front of him, he turned and looked to the fellow hunters. "It's been the craziest day out there...Lydia knows." He said, aiming the comment toward William.

William smiled kindly at Lydia's request and her statement. "I truly doubt that anything going through your mind could be considered dull, Lydia. And as for the room, consider it done. I believe that Room 13 is available, I'll billet you there."

Before anything else could be said, Len Thompson came up to the table and sat down, hair still wet from the rain outside. Will smiled at Len's greeting and returned it. "Good to see you, Len. I trust that your room down in Haven is meeting your needs."

A sly, obviously teasing glance was thrown Lydia's way. "So something interesting happened out there and you haven't told me about it yet? Lydia, I'm hurt. Truly hurt, my dear. Oh, to have one's heart so cruelly betrayed by the fickle nature of a beautiful woman."

Will sighed and slumped in apparent despair, before sitting up straight and grinning at Lydia broadly. He allowed himself a good, loud chuckle at his own melodrama. "It seems that I missed my calling in the theater, eh Len? I am such a ham."

More laughter met his own statement, as he allowed himself to let loose and enjoy his own humor. It has truly been said that a man willing to laugh at himself is on the road to contentment. "So Len, other than interesting goings on, what have you been up to? How have you been?"
