He wondered, he pondered, and often asked himself as he stood motionless in his room, why this happened. He would never see again, he was crippled and useless, and what could he do about it? Nothing, and he realized he has to deal with it. these things cannot change, all he can do is stand there and wait.

Kamiss couldn't. He couldn't bring the sword down on Trarr. He was his ancestor, they were related by blood. But Kamiss realized he had fought Trarr before, when he had possessed a demon. Kamiss threw Trarr's blade up into the air, and engulfed it in flames. It dissolved, ashes falling between the two men. "You can live." Kamiss said. "But never again will you kill." He started walking away. Trarr nodded. Then he lunged at Kamiss, a field of anti-magic in his hands. Kamiss fell under the waves, and Trarr froze the surface into ice with a quick utterance. But it was for nothing. Kamiss burst the ice with his mind, flying from the hole, shards of ice spreading out. One caught Trarr in the chest, and he finally died, his magic gone with the loss of his eyes and blade. "That is the last time I will show mercy." Kamiss said, and removed his bandages, lifting his eyelids as his stolen strength returned to him, restoring his eyes. And Kamiss knew the village would see again, too.

his short lived terror ended just then, as his vision returned. he did not know how or why, but he was happy. he walked out of the small room and went down the stairs to the lounge.

Kamiss walked into the inn, clapping Silas on the back. "We're home free." he said. "Damn, you slept a while."

"Uhhhhhhhh, sure." Kamiss laughed. He grabbed a mug and filled it, drinking greedily. "You shoulda seen it. Trarr thought he was a GOD!!" He could laugh now, finally, becuase once again his friend was by his side, and all was well.

"Myeh." Kamiss set down his mug. Then he looked at the axe on his back, the katana and the dual cleavers. "Damnit I forgot about those. They coulda helped a bit with Trarr." Kamiss looked disgustedly at the weapons and chucked them across the room. "Alright, ready."

As they stood in the rain, Silas smirked. he dissapeared instantly, and shortly after appeared behind kamiss and gave him a round-house kick in the right rib, sending kamiss sprawling into the forest.

Kamiss emerged, grinning. "You're speed has improved. Then again, i rediscovered my old technique." Kamiss blazed forward in a burst of blue light, a trail of dark blue following him. he spun in a circle around Silas, faster and faster, and then punched him in the side of the face with a powerful left hook.

as he flew through the air, he swore, then stopped himself by planting his hand on the cold, wet ground. he ricocheted back at kamiss, flipping at an unbeleiveable rate towards his target.

Kamiss didn't even moved. Silas simply bounced off him. He went back a few feet, and grunted. "Come on. Super-flip? What the hell is that???" he charged forward, flames sprouting from his palm, engulfing his entire ahnd. "I know you can do better." Kamiss said as he swung his flaming fist at Silas.

"fine" he grabbed kamiss by the neck and threw him over the roof of the inn. Silas then jumped over the roof and landed with his fist thrust at kamiss's back. he jumped back over to the other side of the inn and waited

"Damn I am too tired for this." Kamiss said as he vaulted over the roof of the Inn. "Why don't we both stop practicing. Let's start already." He drew his swords as he spoke those words, and scales lanced up his arms but no further. "Your move."

"I'd be happy to oblige." He placed his hand on the normal longsword that was sheathed on his back. he pulled, and the sheath emitted a bright light from inside. and in that amount of time, silas now weilded a montrous weapon. it was almost as long as the inn, with black and silver designs covering the entire thing. and most disturbing was the fact that Silas could hold it in one hand. silas rushed at kamiss with the blade pointing out from his side like a large wing. he lunged straight at kamiss from hundreds of yards away like a bullet, straight at him. and when he reached kamiss he swung his blade. kamiss blocked the blow (using his scaled arms) with little difficulty, though kamiss still had to take a few steps back.
