The rain had persisted for several days now and Kimondo had grown quite hungry. Braving the storm she left the safety of the den and padded across the saturated earth in search of a meal. Water splashed up around her paws, the ground much like a swamp from the rain, but the water was much needed. The Waterhoe would surely be fairly full now and it was a much blessing for that. Now, all she needed was some food to appease her appetite.
The wind howled around her, as the rain pelted her. Kimondo's fur was slick against her body as she moved through the tall grass. Her blue eyes peered through the yellow grass that had died during the drought looking for some kind of prey that she could take down alone. Not finding anything around the den she decided to go to the waterhole. She moved across the pridelands as swiftly as she could while reserving energy for the hunt.
As she drew nearer to the waterhole, several shapes took form. Lowering her body to the ground she moves slowly, eyeing the antelope that were taking their fill of water. She stopped when she was fairly close to the herd, her muscles tensing as she gathered her feet under her. A small antelope, which looked to have been born only a few days ago, was her decided prey. Once sure she could get no closer, Kimondo leapt out at the herd which took off. Her eyes never left the small antelope as her tail helped her keep her balance as she followed the small creature after cutting it off from it's mother. Throwing her paw out she trip it and the hunt is over. Her jaws clench around it's throat until it no longer was breathing. She carried the little body back to the den, the tiny thing, not much of a burden to carry. Should any of the cubs need any food she would allow them to eat first. IF she needed to go hunting again, she would.

Jasiri had been traveling for days, not quite knowing where she was headed. She just had to leave, leave her past. She was wet and cold from the heavy rain, and was now trying to find a place to escape the harsh weather. She saw a little den up ahead, and decided to sleep there for the night. She went in slowly, and shook the water off of her dark bown fur. She was about to lay down to sleep, when she heard a russtle at the back of the den. Out of the shadows a adult lioness crept forward. "Moma!" Jasiri cried, but stoped, because this lioness did not have the soft violet eyes of her mother, though she had a simular appearence, and she had seen her mother get attaked by the hyenas...She looked up at Kimondo, she didnt know what this lioness would do to her for invading her den. She started to shake. "I-I-im sorry. Im l-lost." she maneged to squeak.

Kimondo's eyes fall upon the dark hued cub that had wandered into the den. She was taken back at being called Moma but she could tell by the young one's movements that she had realized Kimondo wasn't her mother. As stuttered words filled the den, Kimondo padded over to the young one with a soft smile. "Relax, I won't harm you." She sat down next to the cub and could see that the cub was soaked. Not wanting the little one to get sick she gently pulled the cub closer to her, wrapping it in her paws. "Now, tell me, what's your name?" Kimondo's voice was soft as her blue eyes settled upon the young one in her arms.

Hearing the lioness soft words, Jasiri relaxed and aloughed herself the be wrapped up in the lioness warm arms, afterall it had been a long while since she had felt the warmth of another lion. "My names Jasiri." She said softly. "Awile ago..." she began slowly. "Me and my mother were attacked by some hyena.s..there were too many of them and...mom made me run away to escape them but...she didnt..." Jasiri looked up at the lioness soft eyes, and a single tear escape her violet eyes.

Kimondo looked at the tiny cub sadly before lowering her head to begin to clean the cub with her tongue, getting rid of the excess water on the cub's fur. "I am sure your mother was relieved to see that you would survive." She pulled the little one closer to her before continuing to groom Jasiri's dark coat.

Jasiri said nothing. She snuggled into Kimondo's warm fur and stared into the darkness while she got licked all over by Kimondos soft tonge. Before she knew it, she fell into a deep sleep. She woke up the next morning, the sun shining through the entrance to the den. Kimondo had aparently awoke before her, and was gone. Jasiri made her way to the front of the den, and peered out. She stared in awe at the vast valley below that was the pridelands. She was not quite abile to see it the night before, because of the rain and the darkness.

Sitting quietly near the opening of the den, Nala breathed deeply the cool air of the rain. She had watched a few other lioness enter the den, soaking wet from their hunt. Nala wasnt hungry, however, and was content upon watching everyone else for the moment.
Stepping out of the den just a bit, she waited for the first few drops of rain to bounce off of her coat. Squinting, Nala shielded her eyes from the hard rain and watched the clouds rolling over head and listen to the crashing thunder.

((Zazu is in the house! *lol*))
The sun rose, bathing the plains in a golden light. High in the treetops, a shaft of light hit the occupant, a hornbill. He lazily opened one eye, then the other. "It looks to be a beautiful morning," he said to nobody in particular as he preened his feathers. He hopped off onto the branch, then spread his wings and was airborne. He soared high above the Pridelands, surveying the territory and enjoying the feeling of the fresh breeze on his wings. Now if only he could remember the place where he found that particularly sweet fruit, then everything would be perfect. Yes, it was indeed shaping up to be a mighty fine day.

Montsho had rested with the weak, yet quiet cub for some days now and it had grown time for her to continue her way to the MistWeaver lands. She knelt cautiously beside the young one, giving it a bit of a smile and securing the nape of the cub's neck. She rose slightly, keeping her stomach low to the shorter grass and slinking forward. Her attempts to stay out of sight seemed to be working well, though she knew this land to be peaceful and kind she didn't want to be found. She hovered very close to pride rock, Montsho's and the cub's charcoal fur sticking out against the green and golds around them. Laying down the small lioness she took a few moments to look about herself.

Montsho sat beneath the shade, having only woken up a moment or so before. She stretched her body out slowly, each of her strong limbs properly extended. Looking to the smll cub beside her she knelt and picked her up rather unceremoniously, the tiny lioness dangling in her jaws. The great leopard continued across the border to the Mistweaver lands, peering about herself on occassion to ensure she wasn't being followed.

((Wheee, an open invitation for anyone to join me in real-time or slower rp stylings. I left it pretty vague so that characters could pop in however they wanted. :3 ))
-Another day of storms and dark clouds touched the horizon as the tiniest hints of light, fighting their way out from the cloud covering touched the Pridelands. Mufasa stood lightly out upon the wet rocks, letting the rain drops pourly casually upon his tan coat, streaking clean any remients that may have clung to the large lion during sleep. He paced a few times back and forth, before sitting as he watched the other animals trying to go on with things as usual despite the strong storms that'd come to rest over the area as of late.
He hoped it wasn't a bad sign. But then again.. rain and water were the bringers of life.. So it could be a good sign. Perhaps it would even make hunting a little more easy for the females, considering the way the muddy grounds made hooved travel more difficult. Silently sitting, he thought, and watched ears laid gently back.-

((Hooo, I haven't RPed in a while. *stretches*))
The slender cub's body was hidden beneath the layered crevice that made up Pride Rock, and she watched Mufasa silently, her baby blue eyes following his every move. Maawio was just a tiny bit scared of the huge lion, as she was scared of most lions, and she certainly wasn't going to make a move to show that she was there.))

Kiyowe blinked a few times to get the sleep out of her eyes and got up shakily. Around the cave that was their den, many of the lions still slept. She looked towards the opening. A large shape sat on the rocks. She stumbled stiffly into the cloudy day. She let out a huge yawn as she stretched out her legs.

-The silent cub hiding didn't catch his attention of course, well hidden atleast for the moment. However the sound of stirring from the cave grabbed his attention and he looked curiously back to see who it might be. Or if perhaps it was just the tired rolling of one of the lioness' within.-
