My husband(5th degree black belt in Aikido) has a lot of fake-out tecniques almost slight-of-hand. You look at one hand and he slaps you with the other. You think there plenty of room between you and then he's already behind you! It's very scary to see a 6 ft 350lb man move that fast!

He also likes to step on your foot and beat the crap out of you, with you wimpering on the floor trying to get away!
It was fun!

well I like to back up so they come close and then I go for a round-house of a frount kick it works well. I use it on Chis all the time when we spar and he's likes to come in close so it makes it easier to kick him then. I get him with something fast and he may fall or trip what a loser xd

Well. For me when I spar in boxing, I put my strongest side forward and unleash a lot of lead straights in all eight angles. The idea is that I won't give my opponent a chance to freaking breathe!!!! rofl

Yep yep, for my black belt grading. It was fun if a little tiring trying to stay the other side of the "weaker" opponent

Yeah, that's a pretty effective technique. I think it's easier to get them blocking somewhere they don't wanna be, then it is to get them lookin' somewhere else.

I like trapping. Give them an opportunity so you can counter thier move.

i have two favorites one is where i draw for a sliding side kick with the lunge forward included and alll that crap but instead of the kick ill send out a back fist or a straight punch..... this works great the first itme or two then just when they start to expect it i just send out a side kick ive had people swear at me mid-match for this... of course with anything it must be done correctly but i guess that goes without saying

the second is the one i use more often now days.... i do a front kick with either leg ( it really has no other intention than to get them to alter their stance ) and before that leg even hits the ground you jump with the other leg and do a jumpinb round kick with that same leg... its very fast and it messes people up all the time ninja

I'm pretty small- 5'2.5'' and roughly 115 lbs. I usually get as low as I can and then kick. I've got pretty strong legs, and I can kick really high, plus I'm not too good at punching so I use my legs a lot. I'm horrible at grappling, though. Once I get under someone, it's really hard to get back out.

Well, if someone tends to pummel right at me with fists I usually use my knees. =) I also think a very effective kick to finish off a combo is an axe kick. Just pop that when they come close, it usually ends fast when sparring. I am also in TKD, so I tend to use my legs more often and if punching, it's to the stomach.

I like intercepting front strikes with palm strikes to the striking shoulder. It really knocks a person off their rhythm. Also, close-quarters roundhouse kicks to my opponent's rear shoulder are good.

Slips. I forgot about them. I'm practically notorious for slipping, parrying, and blocking.
And roundhouse kicks. Can't forget them.

I am also considered a "Leggy b*****d" because i'm naturally a kicker. One of my favorite combos is Roundhouse to the sciatic nerve, Then a spinning back kick to the face. Got quite a few if I do say so myself biggrin

And in punches i tend to do the 1-2 punch. Basic, But effective xd
