He could see guilt and worry marring the expressions of both of the mares, and he was immediately contrite, giving them a warm grin in an attempt to stave off their concerns. He approached the ledge's edge and looked down... miraculously, there seemed to be another ledge some distance down on the other side, but it was still too far down to jump without injury. It seemed to be his only choice at the moment, though. "I doubt she could carry me, miss Luna," he chuckled lightly, trying to lighten the mood. "There seems to be another ledge down below... if I don't make the jump, at least I won't fall to my death."

Myoa nodded paitently at Luna. "Shadow is right, I can't carry him, and I don't know how much longer my wings will be dry enough to be useable." She sighed, deeply troubled. What else could Shadow do? Even if he wouldn't fall to his death, he would be stranded in a worse spot. Guilt bit at her heart. This was her fault, she should've left Luna and Shadow alone instead of making Luna bolt. "I wish Degewi was here..." She whispered quietly. He would know what to do.

The soaked blue mane flew about as she shook her head furiously. "Don't do it Shadow!!!" She cried bowing forward a bit as if she were going to spring off the edge as well. Even if the rain had nearly stoped there was no way that the ground wouldn't be slippery. "Degewi?" She asked turning her head slightly keeping her perefial vision on the stalion. "Another wind?" Her voice was urgent. If the green mare knew a way to save the black leopard she met in the storm then she would be forgiven.

"Don't worry about it, miss Luna, if I die, I don't blame you!" he chuckled half-heartedly at his lame attempt at humor, backing up and eyeing the edge of his perch warily. As much as they tried to convince him otherwise, it was obvious that this was the only way possible, and he was going to take the chance. Crouching steadily and taking a deep breath, he took as much of a running start as he could and launched himself across the canyon.
Miraculously, his front hooves hit solid ground on the other side, and his back legs scrambled to hoist the rest of him up over the edge as he panted unsteadily.

Myoa blushed. "No, Degewi's my mate...NO!" Shadow had jumped, and....yes! He made it, barely, and not yet completely. He was struggling to get his back legs on the ledge. On a whim, Myoa flew through down the cliff, and pushed up. "Use me as another ledge! NOW!" She commanded, not sure how long she could support his weight.

Seeing the other stallion horrified her but all she had time to say was a frantic "NO!" before he hit the other edge. She scrambled over to him and did the only thing she could think of, she bit into his hair. She didn't want to hurt him but decided the two couldn't do it alone so she pulled, perhaps a bit harder then necessary. "Come on...climb...hurry..." She muttered through a mouthful of hair.
Not only was this a worry for how long Myoa and herself could support his weight. Also, she feared the sun would be rising and with the sun came Tala. Tala who needed Lunathiel's eyes to guide her. If the girl awoke and she was not there, well, she feared the results.

"Yes Ma'am," he chuckled nervously through his panting at Myoa's demand, using her as gently as he could as a stepping stone and pushing himself up over the edge. After a few moments of struggling, he collapsed on his side on whole ground, shaking with breathless laughter as golden eyes opened to gaze upon the cerulean mare. She'd never looked more beautiful than at that moment to him. "Thank you... miss Myoa, miss Luna."
