The first time I saw him was also the first episode I ever watched, but I didn't get it at first. Then I went back and watched through episode 138 and Gaara and Itachi are now my absolute favorite characters. My first thought though, while he was hanging from the branch upside down, was probably something like, "Holy crap! Let's see Spider-man carry THAT gourd around and still be able to dangle off branches."

When I first saw him, [in the manga] I was like,"OMG....I want one." I totally fell in love heart heart heart I love quiet, serious guys~!!! They are so sweet, in their own way!!!
I must have looked up a thousand pictures after I saw him!! whee

I was shocked and curiuse, I didn't really begin to like him until I saw him kill the grass ninjas... I like him more and more as the series continues.

I just thought wow he looks kewl for a minute then I saw him battle more and its like omfg this guy friken rocks and then he pretty much became my favorite shortly after that

Erm...the first time, I thought he was cool, but it didn't really get into his personality, so the first time I really <333 ed Gaara was when he tried to kill Lee in the hospital room, you know, when you learn about his past. whee Then...I got obsessed. xDDDD

It all started when I was going through fanfiction.net and I kept going through the the same name. Naruto, Naruto, Naruto! So I was all like "WTF is Naruto?!!!" I looked it up and then I started going through pictures all like "Crap, crap, crap, crap, c-" And then I stopped and went back because I saw Gaara and for some reason I got really interested in him and just stared.......O_O.....And then I went back to looking at pictures but I could never get him out of my head...weird. eek

yay for photobucket. I saw him when I was still watching dub(a very long time ago). I was at episode 3 I think then I watched sub. But anyways, I decided to look up pictures and found him in all of his badassness

To be honest I didn't think much of him when he first appeared. But I did think "OMFG HE'S HAWT!" But when Naruto asked him if he wanted to know his name, Gaara-kun's reaction was priceless! I kept telling all my friends about it when they watched it at the same time as me. rofl After that he was my new favorite and I would be mad if he didn't appear in an episode. ninja

When I first saw him in the episodes I was like cool. I wish I could use sand to teleport (must be fun). Then when he killed the rain ninjas I was like AAWWWEESSOMMEE!!!! whee
