I'm going as Deidara-senpai soon and I just have one problem: HOW THE FRIGGIN HECK DO YOU DO THE HAIR?!?!?!? I don't get it... sweatdrop

Well, I can't explain it all right now(have to go.. clean...-shudders-) but let me know how soon you'll be going as Dei. I'll write up a huge tutorial kind of thing, so that you can have real Dei hair too instead of the floppy long ponytail most cosplayers do.

Well, now we're all lucky, they sell everything on ebay!!!!

But there's always been difficulty with the hair... to do the hair, all you have to do is get hair from the to of your head and put a bunch of hairties in it, (Easiest way, no one will see) and leave a chunk of hair in front of your eye. Just remeber how th ebackside of his head look, on one side the hair goes over the headband while the rest stays under. Buy a Deidara plushie, (Yes, they now sell them....ON EBAY) and just copy that, or just look at a piture, but the plushie is so much cuter!!!

The scope? It's easy, don't be cheaters and skip that!

Okay, gonna do my best to explain here... My sis is the one that does mt hair though, so idk how great this will be.

First thing you need to do is part your hair wayy over to the left side(so the little line, bald spot whatev you wanna call it, is over on the far right). Don't part it so far that the parting looks like it's down by your right ear though- it should be on the top of your head, just far over.

Once you have your hair parted, separate your bangs from the rest of your hair. Believe me, you'll thank yourself later. You can tie off of the bangs for now, since they're the last things you'll need to take care of.

Make sure you've bought some Got2B super hold hair spray, and Got2B hair glue(also comes in large yellow spray bottle). Now comes the hard part. You'll probably need help for this. You need to gather about 20- 25% of the hair(not the bangs, lol!), into a nice clean looking ponytail. Try to gather most of it from hair that grows out of the top/front areas of your head- but you will need to get some from the parts that hang down the back too, or it won't look right when you're done. The gathering of the hair is easy...but the problem comes with pulling it all tightly enough so that you don't get flyaways or stupid puffyness in the front of the hair. Pull the gathered hair through a black hairtie, get it as tight as you can around the hair. Then, use another 2 or 3 hair ties, one around the first 1, and the others above to give the ponytail some lift. Now use some hairspray to give your hair some lift, and then put on your big red hairtie- make sure it covers all of the black hairties, since obviously Dei doesn't have anything black in his hair.

Okay, so you have the red hair tie in... Now comes the hard part. You have to make the ponytail stand up, and out. What my sis did for me is, she carefully took my long hair, and flipped it back around, so that the ends were wrapped back in to the red hair tie. Of course, at first it just looked like a round puffball in the back of the ponytail then. But, after a bit of teasing the hair, it's possible to make it look like the ends- and the hair keeps itself up. She sprayed the hairtie area with the glue stuff, so the ponytail wouldn't come out, and then sprayed the bottom of the part sticking out the back. That was all it needed.

Then for the bangs, we separated them into pieces exactly as I wanted it to look, I put on my headband, and she sprayed a little bit right where the hair loops over the headband, then held it up for about a minute until it dried.
