Hello. ^_^
My name is Trin, nice to meet you. o_o I'm what you would call a scattered reader. I don't read a lot of mainstream books, so there will be a lot of times when I don't know what you are talking about. I did however read one of Garth Nix's books, and a few of the Harry Potter books, and the LOTR books, a few Stephen King books, ect, but that is as far as I go with mainstream so far. -__- I like classics though.
My favorite books are:
Riffles for Waity (Spelling? It's been awhile. It's my number one favorite though!) Where the Red Fern Grows Little Princess The Hobbit The Secret Garden
I also like some of Shakespear, I have not read much on him but I was one of the only kids in my senior English class that really enjoyed Macbeth, and they did not have to force me to read Romeo and Juliet? Most of the kids wanted to have both of the books burned.
EDGAR ALLEN POE!!!!!!!
I am such a big fan of Poe. x_x I like his poems better than his short stories, though. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Nah. Come to think of it, I read more of the stories. Mask of the Red Death is my favorite there.

Hey there, my names Bevian and the reason I joined is simply because I love books. I have a full-time position in a bookshop where I spend half the day reading under the counter. My interests are mainly towards the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre but I have been expanding into more general fiction reading titles such as 'The Eyre Affair' by Jasper Fforde and 'The Rule of Four' by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason. At the moment I am reading Tom Holt's Omnibus' 1 through 7 - should keep me busy for a couple of days. I took english literature as an A level in england so I'll usually be able to find topics to talk to on all the novels I've read. Anyway, I look forwards to the forthcoming discussions!

Just wanted to do an introduction post, hi guys. My life's kinda hectic at the moment since I'm graduating from college this semester, *woot*, and am working full time so that I can pay for that plus my addictions, namly collections of books.
I enjoy most genres though I really don't care for the walmart type romance novels. I prefer to write horror/fantasy and am a roleplayer so I definetly have fun with that. My whitewolf book collection is over 100 books and I have a bad habit about finding a series, reading/loving the first book and then going out to buy the whole collection. Now my bookshelf has two friends and those shelves are full too... sweatdrop I'll just have to move out and get a wall of shelves for my books. blaugh

Hey everyone. I'm Aliena and I just joined the guild a day or so ago. I love reading pretty much any genre and try not to stick to just one, but vary my reading all the time. I usually set a few goals for myself each year. Mainly, they're to read at least 50 books/year and also to read more classics. I'd love to tackle War & Peace sometime! I'm also involved in a few reading yahoo groups, so I'm able to get good recommendations all the time.
I think my favorite authors include Melanie Rawn, Elizabeth Haydon, Harlan Coben, Iris Johansen, and Jane Heller. They're the ones where if I see anything by them on the new book shelf at the library, I squee!
Favorite books include Tale of Two Cities by Dickens, The Eight by Katherine Neville, and The Golden Key by Melanie Rawn, Jennifer Roberson, and Kate Elliott.
