Three riflemen would direct their fire towards the remaining crossbow Shades, the other two would take aim and fire shots overtop their comrades charging into battle, aiming to slow down a Rook or two. Five guards would slow their pace, taking the time to settle their stance and give the Rooks a sweet 12 gauge caress. The other three would get all reckless, falling backwards and sliding foot first at the Rooks' ankles, aiming to either sweep the lead units, or slip between their legs to shoot upwards at the Melee Shades.
And Shouyin was stumbling and rolling, bolt in the leg and all that s**t. In a manner similar to what he'd done with that first bolt in his left shoulder, he used stone under the skin to force the bolt out, and then pulled it free with his left, 'bandaging' the wound with a layer of rock. Fighting through the pain, he'd get back to his feet, continuing to survey the area from the plains' edge. Keeping an eye on where he'd grounded Stryphe and his pawns, Shouyin would switch his assault rifle to single shot and fire four times at the bishops and their protectors, aiming around the neck or head. He'd move in soon, before the fire completely seperated him from his foes, but those guys hidden in the grass were making him a little uneasy, if they were all dead, then fine, but if not, he'd be running into who knows what.

Lenne could hear the gun shots, something else had caught her attention. Her senses had picked up on something now approaching from the ruins area, now she was still quite away still from there. Her hand that had reached around her back while she had been crouched there had grabbed upon her M16A1, pulling it silently around to her front she quickly prepared the weapon, it was all ready loaded and she was then ready to fire. Lenne would wait in her position silently, the things that had just arrived were still a good distance from her as she stayed hidden in the grass.
It was not wise to move at this moment in time as she heard more noise, she would stay down and silent for now. Her energy had been building as she had been crouched there in the grass, she was prepared and had her barrel pointed towards where the things had come from the ruins but would remain hidden.

And the icy twister of DEATH landed on the trap filled clearing of the Crescent plains. It was sucking up just everything in it's path comming from Sunset river, the large pieces ice it was throwing already claimed an archer, it's only time before the whole place was going to hell.

When will the miners learn. Rooks. Don't. Stop.
Well, one did. Pegged with rifle fire and a dude hitting his heels, soon that dude would find a rook falling on top of him. The other two simply didn't stop, trampling the two brave shotgunners; crushing bones, ribs and skulls under their heavy feet.
A well aimed shot on Quin's part took one of the melee shades down. Shot through the heart, and he's to blame. Quin gives love a bad name.
When the charging group finnaly reached the shotgunners, the rooks swung wildy with heavy fists. Two of the melee shades had spears, and stabbed at the gunners through the gaps between the rooks. The others sat tight.
Shou would find firing on the preist protectors would do very little. They had full body tower sheilds at the ready. The bullets sparked off and suddenly the two of the protectors, sheilds up, began to march towards the half golem. A shadow bishop follwed behind the two and began to charge a spell.
TORNADO EDIT: Unfortunatly for Allios Noel was around. The null mage stood up and began charging arcane energy around his fist.
"That can't be natural." Noel muttered as his palm flew out foward.
An orb of clear energy would fly out, it would do nothing to people... But magic. One the orb reached the tornado Noel closed his fist, with that the orb exploded. And the nullfying energy ripped through the spell making it extrodinarly hard to mantain.
To whoever cast it, it would be like getting punched in the gut hard enough to knock him down.

((FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RIVER??!!! talk2hand Just...no Olive. No.))
Sunstrike broke into the plains, completely engulfed by the clothes he wore, to any of the people in the area, he was just another pawn, slipping through the tall grass with Flare and Hakan in tow, making their way cautiously to the defenses.

Flare began to charge her fires, her hands glowing as she crept cautiously after Sun, sticking to the cover of the grass, keeping her head down.

Well there was one down. He had five shots left in the weapon then its only use would be as a club to pistol whip someone, not a bad idea if it came to that. But he had other things to concern himself with. Such as the Shades moving in on his partner.
Shifting his aim he pulled the hammer back and let another shot of warpstone free.
"Looks like I'm going to be creating a number of fires this day."
When the warpstone impacted it would burst in flames, scattering and setting the dried grass on fire. The ice tornado looming on the horizon, but still a fair distance away.

Hakan followed too, though he was more or less hidden as he moved, due to his wilderness skills. He had his bow at the ready, and considering the situation, had an ice arrow instead of a fire oen charging. Setting the plain on fire wouldn't be fun.

OOC: So, the riflemen that shot at the crossbow Shades killed them? No mention equals confusion.
IC: Sigh, shotgunners were ********. They'd all try and get off at least one shot a piece before being trampled, tackled and all that other jazz. All five riflemen would aim back at the Rooks, taking one shot each at the Shades' chest/head areas. They only had one clip each to reload with, and maybe five bullets remaining in the hunting rifles, so they had to down those ******** soon.
Grimacing, Shouyin started running left along the edge of the plains back towards Quin, nearing the Dead Woods in case he needed to retreat. The half-golem would take aim again, ignoring the protectors' approach for now to fire at the returning Shade reinforcements, five single shots at that one monster tailing the woman who'd set him on fire back then.
Sadly, if he'd known it was Sunstrike, his teammate back in the good ol' Glacier days, he would've held fire.

Over at the river Aiolos stopped playing all of a sudden, there was a pain in his head, that and his flute was was being charged with a strange blue energy and it was sent directly at him. Hence, the headhurt. The musican dropped the flute and stopped playing, the tornado started to die out. Aiolos was grasping his head, he was seeing spots, he kneeled down. Oh well... He thought, The ice was still going to be a problem... The tornado died out, but the ice it was holding was still there, and the only logical way to go was down. Good luck with that.

Lenne was at the ready to fire, her finger was on the trigger at the ready. She knew of the two life forms in or near the Twilight woods, turning around carefully in the long grass to stay hidden she would face towards the area of Twilight woods were Quin was. Her mind would be focused on the job at hand, a broken tree rather large branch lay behind Quin near to him. Lenne could sense this and this she would use. Concentrating while remaining hidden she would use her telekinesis to lift it over about a meter off the ground, and then the tree branch would suddenly fly towards him. It was aimed at roughly the back of his upper thighs, now Quin was probably too pre-occupied with what was going on in front of him on the plains to notice the branch swiftly and suddenly fly at him. It would take Lenne a good amount of focus to lift the branch, which she had gained while crouching there.

All the crossbow guys were very very dead.
The problem were four archer and three mages were just entering the plains.
The fire bishop was just getting up in time. With just enough time to toss a few fireballs at the ice. I wouldn't destroy all the ice, but it would break it up some.
The rooks take a good deal of fire, the rifle shots landing true in the rooks necks and eyes. A few stray shots taking down another melee shade. The other melee shades continued onward to the rifle men after the shotgunners were done being ripped to peices.
The preist protectors held positions. Knewing it was more important to defend her than to continue on after Shou. The dark bishop on the other hand lobbed a bomb of dark energy at shou like a grenade.
