Eni's attention was locked on a little animal on sale. Eni believed it was called a dog but she wasn't too certain, the animals she was accustomed to were wild boars, wolves, and coyotes. Eni turned her head around when she heard footsteps heading toward her. It was Blade and she had stuffed the dagger Eni'd been eyeing in her palm. The foreign girl stared at the weapon in her hands with wild eyes. Did Blade just give her a gift? When Eni looked up again, Blade had disappeared already.

Looking at the dagger in her hands and Rina then back to the dagger, Eni was trying to figure out what Blade had meant with the gift. Blade didn't look like the kind of person who would randomly purchase a gift, especially an expensive dagger like this, for no strange reason. Eni wondered if Blade was trying to get on her good side because Blade had somehow sensed that Eni didn't really like her.

But still, the dagger was too much and though Eni was a cavedweller, she knew her modesty. Walking after Blade toward the towncenter, Eni held the dagger tight in front of her chest. It would've been nice to have a smaller weapon to equip instead of her chakram and shuriken straped on hre back, but Eni didn't want to make Blade spent her money on a stranger like her.

Following the sound of Blade's harp and voice, it wasn't hard to find the girl. Eni was just about to pass through the gathering crowd when she was pulled back. In fact, she was pulled back by her hair. Whoever it was grabbed tightly as Eni was dragged out from the crowd. Turning her head around to see, her attacker was a huge man. The man was holding a bottle in one hand and he was in rags. Eni winced as the man leaned in and breathed his horrid breath in her face.

"I hate men with long hair," the drunken man said as he tugged Eni by the hair again.

Eni groaned angrily. Her hair!? Her hair!? It was the feature that Eni treasured most. Do you have no idea how hard it was to keep your hair long when you live in a cave? Now Eni wasn't the angry type of person but... Her hair!?

The robed girl let out an almost screeching cry as she unsheathed the dagger and stabbed the man's hand, causing the man to at least let go. And now that the man had let go, things were about to get much much worse.

Boan reached into a pocket and pulled out two large gold coins, which he gave to the woman selling the blankets. Boan grabbed his two blankets and took a look around. At first he thought that he would hate this town, but it had turned out to be much better than he expected. The food was good, the Inn had soft beds, and they only sold good quality items. It was better than the last town anyway. She should have told him he was married. That week sucked.

Boan looked through the crowd for the woman he’d seen standing right where he was only minutes ago. She was nowhere to be found. He sighed and walked around a little bit, trying to find out where she’d gone. A man was putting a very, very nice dagger on display. He was sure he’d seen Blade walk this way, and the owner of the shop was setting up a new dagger on display. Blade bought a blade? The owner of the store ignored Boan, assuming he was blind because of the strip of cloth he wore around his eyes.

Another good look at the crowd gave him nothing, so he went back to searching. He’d met blade… it was hard to remember when, exactly. Maybe four years ago? It wasn’t long after he’d started searching for Spawn. He knew because they had both attempted to attack the same spawn, and neither had done very well in the fight. Blade had been kind of cold to him, even after they really started talking. Would she even remember? There was a good chance she’d forgotten him over the years. By now she’d probably met up with dozens of Spawn hunters. Spawn was probably the reason she was here. It was why he was here.

And suddenly he heard it. A voice found him through the crowd, followed by the notes of a harp. That voice could not be mistaken. Over the years he’d found that the clothing he wore now was much better than a crapload of unnecessary armor. He was strong enough to take more damage than the armor he’d been wearing when he met her. Now he only wore a few pieces of armor and mostly black clothing, because he often traveled at night and liked to pass through quietly. His tattoo was hidden, so the only thing she would notice about was his face, if she remembered him at all.

Boan finally found her, and decided to hang back in the crowd for a minute. He didn’t know she played the harp until just now, and was surprised at her skill. She was a good singer, too. People dropped coins as she played, and she’d made a decent amount, if he was counting right. After the minute was up Boan stepped through the people to stand in front of Blade and dropped a blanket where everyone else dropped money. “So you play the harp now, Blade?”

||Poor Rose....||

Well, ha-ha! Blade was making some pretty good money now. She finished her song and picked up what had been given to her and put it away. If she could come later during the evening when love birds wandered around then she could make even more. Her song came to a sudden end when she heard a familiar voice. She looked up and blinked, and then her eyes suddenly grew wide.

"Boan?" She asked slowly. It was impossible to forget him, he'd been the first person she'd tried to make a team with. Which, she might add, had ended up like crap. Not really a team, actually, they'd just ended up trying to fight against the same spawn. It'd gotten away, tricky little b*****d. Lightening spawn. Blade had gotten a wonderful shock of lightening from that and she hadn't been able to walk around for a few hours.

"Boan!" Blade suddenly grinned and she jumped up from her spot and punched his arm playfully. "Oh-ho, why yes I can! Very well, thank you. I've played since I was ten. You just weren't worthy enough to hear my beautiful voice. You've got a handsome face now, or maybe I just didn't notice before, Boan. Am I saying your name right? I'm glad that you can remember mine!" She gave him a wink before turning her head when she noticed that Eni was there. And having trouble. Before Blade could do anything Eni used to the dagger that Blade had bought for her to stab the drunken man's hand. However it didn't look like anything good was going to come from this. "Excuse me now, handsome Boan, this pretty woman has some business to attend to right over there. Wait for me to return, please?" Blade told Boan before she walked over and stood beside Eni.

"I hate drunk men." Blade growled to herself, although it was directed at Eni as well.

[You forgot your blanket! D: ]

Boan grabbed the blanket he’d bought for her and put his free hand in his pocket before following Blade. Of course someone needs help as soon as he finds an old friend! At least he got to see someone get their a** handed to them. That was always fun, especially when it happened to a drunk guy. It was amazing how many men changed when they drank. Normally nice men went crazy sometimes. Boan couldn’t count how many men he’d beaten up and twice actually killed- by accident, of course –for trying to rape or otherwise harm a woman. That made the women just as, if not more, afraid of him as the man who’d attacked them.

Kind of a double edged sword.

Sighing, Boan stopped a few feet behind Blade and watched. There was no way he could really fight against her, unless Blade’s abilities had declined in the last four years. Apparently she knew the girl tha- wait, was it a girl? It could also be a boy. Or it could be a girl. What the ********? It was hard to tell from where he was whether the person was male or female.

Odd.

Eni looked at Blade and groaned quietly. She might not be as skilled in fighting as Blade was, but Eni was certain she knew how to handle a drunken man. Sure, the man towered over Eni by at least a foot and a half, but Eni was trained to throwing weapons. She didn't have to do the work. The robed girl scoffed as she was eager to prove to Blade that she could take care of herself.

But she chose not to.

Stepping back as the man's blood touched her skin, Eni gave Blade a nod. She had figured that Blade probably came her to not so much to aid Eni, but to take the fight for her. So why not? It would save Eni the trouble and she was known to be a little crazy when she engaged in fights.

Eni titled her head as she saw a man with a blanket stopping behind them. She raised an eyebrow curiously. A man...with a blanket...? What didn't seem to make sense there? Eni might've grown up in a cave but the sight before her eyes was still odd.

Turning her attention back to the drunken man and her heroine, Eni ran her fingers through her hard-earned hair. She stroke through it slowly and carefully, pulling out a few strands of split-ends. Rotating glances between her hair and the drunken man, Eni replayed the words of the drunkard.

I hate men with long hair.

Eni puffed her cheeks angrily. The reason she kept her hair long was so that people wouldn't mistaken her for a boy! The Witches had insisted that she kept her hair short for easier maintenance and Eni had to fight them days on. The day she saw her own reflection in a pond, the day she looked like a female, Eni would never forget that feeling of belonging in her heart.

Shaking her fists with anger, Eni glared at the drunkard with a pout.

||Blade was going to pick it up afterwards. (: ||

Well then, this was fight would be her's now that Eni was backing off. It wouldn't be much of a challange, considering that this man looked rather off balance. Sometimes drunk men were difficult to handle and sometimes they weren't. It all depended on exactly how much it was that they had had to drink. The alchohal could either make them a hell of a lot stronger and angrier or unable to even keep upright. Maybe it would be both ways with this man. He'd been able to walk over here from wherever he had come from, so he must have some kind of sense of balance still there. Blade brought her fist up and stuck her tongue out at the man, even though he might not even be able to see her clearly anyway.

Blade stepped off to the left as a fist came at her and then sent her foot into his ribs in order to knock the air out. However the b*****d was faster than expected and was able to move back far enough for only the tip of Blade's foot to brush up against his shirt. Well this would be great. Really. Blade sighed as she stepped off again, this time to the right, when a fist came at her for a second time. Instead of trying to kick him she reached forward and grabbed his arm, then twisted it around into a painful position at his back. He struggled and wildly kicked his legs to try and get her to let go, however Blade just used her other hand to reach down and grab one of the legs that was threatening to hit her. She released the arm that she was holding and then jerked the leg back, throwing him down. The sound of bone hitting the ground could be heard as the man hit his forehead against the hard stone road. There. He would be able to wake up with a wonderful lump on his face.

"Take that!" Blade dropped his foot and then pointed her finger at the unconcious man. Then she noticed that a group of children were staring at her. Blade blinked and coughed before bringing her hand down and facing towards them. "Um...." She battled for a few words, and once they came she grabbed them. "Don't drink!" Holy crap, that sounded so corny. However a few adults clapped and smiled in responce despite the fact that Blade had just knocked-out some drunk man. She made an awkward smile before turning around and walking up to Boan. She brought a thin finger up and tapped the tip of her nose. "Now then sir Boan, what can I do for you?" She withdrew her finger and then went over to where she'd been singing and picked up the coins that were still on the ground. Some of the coins had been picked up. Ouch, she should've collected them before she'd stood up. Eh, whatever. Blade tucked the coins away and then picked up her harp. She'd left her harp on the ground! Whispering to her harp that she wouldn't do that again she stood back and turned around. "Hey Boan! I bet that I could totally kick your a** in a fight now! But no, I suppose that I wouldn't want to mark up that body of yours, hm?"

Aiko walked slowly behind the group noticing the town up a head of them. Her eyes narrowed and a warm smile crossed her face. A warm bed, good food, new supplies, and tones of people, beyond people. This was a place Aiko would never turn up to see. She paused, stopping before the doors into the breath taken town. She let her hands fall from behind her hanging lifelessly at her side. It has been weeks upon weeks since she ran into another town and now here is one before her. Her eyes then trailed down to the group of people that walked a head of her.

Sighing a little she paid for her own way into the town. Aiko watched the group break up going about there own ways. Then hooking her thumbs on the loops of her shorts she walked through the crowed streets passing Eni when she was admiring a dagger. She had a very good eye I must say but as always Aiko never like to bother another person unless she really had too.

Aiko had to make sure not to hurt anyone with her scythe hanging on her back. She had only just got the weapon and loved its handling but it was too large. She would never just give it away because she was fully aware of the power it had. Though she would never use it but she did know a way of passing that power to anther weapon. She wondered if she could find a black smith somewhere and a powerful summoner will do her good, Blade popped into her mind but she pushed the thought away. She would never ask the female to use her power over darkness.

She was lost in her bewilder look amongst the people and almost bumped into a crowed of children that ran towards the center of the town. Blades voice finally made it to her ears. She stopped in the crowed to watch a little with a loving smile. Blade was amazing at almost everything Aiko had seen her do. The only sad thing about was the side effects of her power. A male had moved to her side with a blanket in his hand, watching Blade as well. He was quite a looker as were the two others she had saw in that group and here he was with a blanket in his hand. Perhaps he was a traveler as well and would be in need of one.

A male holding his blanket, now she was sure she was missing some of the pieces to this puzzle. She was rather short standing next to this man but she shrugged her shoulders turning from the crowd. It's none of her business.

Aiko walked until she found the town Inn stopping at shops here and there, messing the scene with Eni. Swiftly picking the pockets of others to add to her collection of gold she had gathered over time. Aiko was one of the best thieves around and such a large crowd meant easy pickings. She never took all of the money of her victims, none the less not even noticeable amount. She would always take a little here and a little there. Hey, a hundred pennies will add up to a dollar and even more for her.

Now with a nice stack of money she checked herself into the Inn and found her room. Once inside she sat her scythe down on her bed and walked into the bathroom. She admired her figure for a little spinning in a circle. She then moved the strap at her top looking at the slight change in her chocolate colored skin. Her eyes then looked over the dragon tattoo that ran up the curve of her back. She soon took her bath and washed her clothes. She had never felt better in week’s maybe even months.

Aiko then walked into her room looking at her weapon on the bed. Any other time she would of crashed on the bed as soon as she walked into her room but today was different. Today she had a lot of things to catch up on and fix. She placed her hand on her hip tapping the fingers of her other hand on her chin. She scanned her mind of the shops she had seen so far.

Her jade colored eyes reflect the light of a small flame, which took her attention for a brief moment. "Ok," she walked to the side of the bed picking up her weapon. She stumped the end of the stick on the floor studying its sharp blade above her. A scythe felt more like a defensive weapon maybe she should switch to the offensive. Aiko's eyes wondered who the young female was always looking back at her.

Then finally closing her eyes she turned to leave her room and the Inn completely. Her jet black hair waved behind her as if she were in the water. She quickly made her way towards a black smith to shop around for a new weapon. Stopping to pick up healing herbs and other little supplies she would need. The whole time she thought of what Blade said about dinner. None of their party knew of her but Eni. Yet, Eni and she only exchanged names and thanks. 'There is no need of getting close', she told herself and yet they worked so well to kill that one spawn. 'No', she shook her head weaving through the storm of people telling herself she would think about it later.

That was amazing. Blade had kicked the drunk mans a** without using a weapon or her magic. Fighting without a weapon was normal for him, but he’d never seen Blade fight unarmed. She was much, much better at hand-to-hand combat than when he’d last seen her. What about her elements, though? She used to rely on both her Shadow and Fire powers pretty heavily, if he remembered correctly. If she used more physical attacks now, did that mean her power had decreased? Or were the side-effects of using her powers more severe than before? Boan would never forget watching Blade cough out so much blood…

“Hey Boan! I bet that I could totally kick your a** in a fight now! But no, I suppose that I wouldn't want to mark up that body of yours, hm?"

Ha!

“You can try, but I’ll still whoop your a**!” He replied, tossing her the blanket he’d bought for her, and holding the other under his arm. Boan had planned to get a blanket anyway, and when he saw Blade leave without one, he decided to buy it for her. You hear things when you travel, and stories of Spawn were popular. Most of them are false but many have seeds of truth, and Boan had heard there was a Spawn over the mountains. It was lucky too, because Boan was already headed that way. People need to eat, and Boan needed to look for Spawn, so he became a runner.

Runners are men and women hired to take important packages through areas no other people would dare enter. It meant a lot of traveling and a lot of fighting. Most of packages they carried were illegal or dangerous, which was why they hired people to take the fastest route they could through dangerous places. A lot of runners died every year, so there weren’t many of them, but that meant more money for each run. Boan was in the top three, if not number one, in eight countries because he’d never failed a run. Strength and speed like his helped a lot during a run.

That was why he was in this town. The man he needed to deliver the package to was on the other side of the mountains. Boan was sure Blade was here to get to the spawn on the other side, and he planned to travel with her.

“Actually, I’ll be going with you over the mountains. I have some business with a man on the other side, and I heard there was a Spawn over there. I have no idea what one, though.”

Eni had stepped back to let Blade handle the little fight with the drunkard. Watching Blade easily overcame the man, Eni wondered how long it would have taken herself to do the job? It would've been longer, Eni concluded, because she would have sliced the man into irregular pieces as a wonderous punishment for one, touching her hair and two, calling her a man.

Running her fingers over the encrusted dagger, the girl sighed a little dejectedly. It really was a beautiful dagger and whatever the price was, Eni was certain it was worth it. The sharp blade ran about five, six inches. It was a sparkling silver engraved with some strange characters on one side, Eni would have to ask someone for translation. The handle had three holes to insert the fingers in for control. What a strange dagger, Eni thought as she examined the weapon closer.

But strange or not, the dagger wasn't hers to keep. Wiping the blood off with her robe, Eni looked around for Blade. The girl wasn't going to take the dagger, it was undeserved. More importantly, Eni didn't want Blade to think that she could change Eni's feeling toward the tomboyish warrior even if she bought her an expensive gift. Her feelings, Eni insisted, wasn't for sale.

Making sure the dagger was back to its original glory, Eni sheathed it as she headed for the center of the town. The strange man with the blanket was talking to Blade. This was a good chance, Eni thought. Blade would be distracted by her old friend to even notice that Eni had returned the dagger. Walking quietly toward the two, making as little noise as possible, Eni evaded the sight of Blade and the blanket man and stopped a few feet behind Blade.

She didn't want the dagger. Blade would have to understand.

The robed girl, as strange as she could ever be, threw the sheathed dagger at the direction of Blade's back. Without waiting to see if the target was hit or if Blade had skillfully blocked it, Eni drowned her short figure in the growing crowd and disappeared out of sight. She didn't know why she ran, she just did. Perhaps it was out of fear of what Blade would react if the dagger hit her, or what Blade would say if she caught it and wanted to speak to Eni. In retrospect, it was a poor decision. Eni should've given the dagger back to Blade, face-to-face, like a brave person. But instead, she ran like a coward.

The girl's face pumped pink with blood as she finally stopped to rest behind an inn or a tavern, Eni didn't bother to check. She wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead as she leaned against the wall for support. Wow, she hadn't run like that since the time she was chased by a ten foot wild bear. And that must have been at least six years ago. Rubbing her forehead and asking herself why was she so stupid, Eni took a peek back at the street. No sight of Blade. Yet. She hoped Blade wouldn't do something foolish like, say, come after Eni. The robed girl just wouldn't know what to do.

So did that mean Eni wasn't part of the group anymore? Maybe so. That thought made the girl slightly upset. She liked Rina and had wished to spend more time with the sweet girl. On the other hand, that desire to be with Rina was hunted by the fear she had for Blade. Maybe if Rina didn't travel with Blade, Eni would have happily followed Rina. The way things were, however, clearly indicated that the twins were sticking with the spawn hunter Scratching her rosy chin, Eni puffed.

Travelers always have a certian feeling when they come to a new town. For those that travel for fun, a new place to visit, and a new place to see. Excitement and joy at a place they have never been too. For those that travel because they have been forced to, it is a place of mixed joy, and dispair. Could they settle here? Would the people here like them? Could they fade in with the towns folk? Or, would they be forced to move on again? Too much hope, too much misery. For those that chose to travel as part as a quest, or a journy, a new town was just one more step in the set of paths they had to take along their path. For those that hunted the Spawns without mercy on either side, for those taht seeked to repair the damage done by Tidal, and for those that wish to solve all sorts of problems. The end of the trail was their goal, and everything else in their way was just another step, another obsitcal, another challenge, hopefully the last one.

For Nago, a man who seeked to heal the damage done by Tidal and its Spawns, it seemed like a never ending quest. He did not seak to kill them, as many others did, since he knew that one man alone would not be able to take down a Spawn, nor would one man be able to take down many if they grouped. So, he traveled, healing those that he knew where hurt by Tidal or his Spawns, and healing others for a small price. Those hurt by farming acidents, and those hurt by petty arguements. Any sort of day to day event. Sometimes, he would heal for free, when his heart spoke to him, and said taking payment would be wrong. Such as the case of the poor family, who was willing to give their daughter as payment, just so the father could have his leg healed, so he could work. Accepting such a payment was morally wrong, and the payment had been free of charge, the healed gaining some extra gold as well.

For now, Nago was in a town, gathering some gold as he stayed in an inn, wandering the town. He had been there for three days, and many of the towns folk knew him as a healer, and he would heal things from the petty injuries, like a scrapped knee of a little kid, to the life threatening, doing his best to save each one of those he came across. Not all could be saved, so when the person was going to die, Nago did his best to make the pain flee the body, and peace feel the soul of the one that would die. What else could a healer do, when they knew that their patient would die, and there was nothing they could do to stop the enviatable circle of life and death? Nothing, but make the passing easier to the next live, so they could live that one without as many regrets from one life to the next.

For now, Nago was in this town, unable to figgure out which way he should move. His path seemed to be stuck here with these towns folk, who needed a healer desprately, especially one of his skills and power, since their last one died not to long ago. They needed him, yet, he wanted to move on after the rumors of the spawn that were passing around town. A spawn was over the mountians, and some rumors were saying the water spawn, and others were saying the earth spawn, and even more were saying it was a spawn with the control over life and death itself. The last ones could be discounted, but one thing the rumors agreed with was that there was a spawn somewhere over the mountians, and no one know what type of spawn it was...

Walking out of the inn, Nago liked to retreat to his room every now and again, to get away from the crush of people that would sometimes attack him about healings, he sighed. The tall, tanned, thin man looked around for a moment, and scratched his short hair for a moment, before seeing what looked like quite a mess being started. Or ended, it was hard to tell some times. It was a good deal down the street, and as he took a step towards it, the crowds started to break up, telling him that it was ending. He sighed, knowing that a crowd ment a gathering of people, and that would mean someone had ineveitalbly gotten hurt. Which ment that someone would come to him, with a payment, to press his services into service, to heal the wounded people...

About to move down the street, a strangly dressed (at least to Nago it was strangely dressed, who knows, it could be completely normal to the girl) girl... Or was a it a boy? A girl, it was defanatly a girl. No, wait.. A boy! Darn, it was hard to tell. Well, Nago decided to call her a girl for now, since most men or boys he knew did not have such long hair. Though, what really drew Nago's eyes was the spot of blood on the young lady's black-grey robes. It wasn't easy to spot, for a man that often had his hands covered in the gore and guts of another, spotting blood wasn't hard. He hardly moved as she came up to the inn, and ran behind it. Her face was red, and she seemed to have been running from someone or something. Stopping, to see if she was indistress, Nago waited for something to come tearing down the street after her.

With nothing coming after her, the tall monk like man walked behind the inn calmly. If the girl was hurt, she would need his healing. Or, maybe she wouldn't, but maybe having someone offer it for free might allow her to change her mind about not being healed. Behind the inn he ducked behind it, and spotted the girl after a moment. She seemed to be thinking about something. "Excuse me miss. I just happened to notice there was blood on your robe, and I was wondering if you were injured. If you were, I would be willing to heal it for you, free of charge..." He said, hoping he didn't startle her or anything. But, he had moved closer to her, and in a back alley...

Eni jumped when a voice suddenly spoke to her. A man's voice to be exact and Eni had had enough trouble with men together. She pushed herself off the wall defensively and was about to fend for her dear life. She listened hard at the monkish man's words and had a basic understanding of what the man wanted. The foreign girl titled her head slightly with a faint blush still on her head. She gripped the spot on her robe that was tainted and smiled a little.

"Ah... Es is fine," Eni began to compose her sentence. "Belong to this blood other person." Biting her lower lips as she studied the expression of the healer, Eni hoped she made some sense. After all, poor Eni tried to understand the rapid words of the healer, why couldn't the healer do the same to her?

Taking a quick breath, Eni continued, "Much thank you! Es not needs the no charge healing of you." Smiling as bright as she could after such a long run, Eni hoped her sunny smile would take the attention off her horrid language. Bringing two fingers up to her own cheek, Eni brushed the fingers from the cheek to the nose: the sign for farewell in her hometown. Turning around, Eni mistook a step and fell flat on her face. With two huge weapons on her back, it was difficult for the girl to get up. In fact, she was struggling like a turtle turned on its back. Chuckling and groaning, Eni felt too embarassed to even ask for help.

Blade caught the blanket that had been thrown at her and grinned. "Why thank you for the blanket... although I highly doubt that you could beat me! Ha!" Over the mountains? Blade chuckled before speaking again. "I suppose that a spawn hunter's actions are easy to figure out, aren't they? The spawn is either earth or lightening. I'll bet you three silver coins on that!"

Suddenly Blade sensed something heading for her back. She whirled around and grabbed the dagger that had been thrown at her and then blew air out from between her lips. That'd been way too close. As she looked down at the dagger Blade saw that it was the dagger that she'd given Eni. Blade lifted up an eyebrow and simply frowned. Did Eni really hate her that much? Blade knew that the girl didn't like her, but to throw a dagger at her back? If she hadn't caught this thing then she could have easily just have died then and there. Even if the dagger didn't hit her heart it would have hit her spine or lungs. If one of her lungs were pierced she wouldn't be able to breathe properly and would die from the lack of air. If her spine had been hit, she would have been paralyzed. And for her heart... instant death. This was a long dagger, and even with the bones in the way it would easily cut through plenty of her insides.

Well fine then. Blade supposed that she would just have to keep her distance from the girl and also keep her defense up when she was around her. Blade made a "hm" sound to herself before turning around and looking over at Boan. "I'm currently staying at the inn with some other people. I've got to go do something, so if you'd like, meet there." With a wink and a smile Blade walked off, yelling a thanks at Boan for the blanket. Now then, where would Eni be? Blade walked into one of the alleys and sensed through the shadows where the girl was. She was behind the inn, along with someone else. What was happening now? Blade jogged off through the streets and spotted Eni, along with another man who was offering to heal her. Eni rejected it and fought to get back up, however because of the heavy objects that she had on her back she couldn't do so. Blade walked up and dropped the dagger at Eni's feet, and then decided not to show any emotion through her words or face. "A gift is a gift. Do whatever you want with it. You can sell it, use it, melt it, throw it on the ground and stomp it, anything you want except for giving it back to me. Or throwing it at my back." Now Blade's eyes flickered over to the man who was standing there. "I know someone who's in need of medical treatment. I don't know where she is right now, but I'll be meeting her inside of the inn thirty minutes after sunset for dinner. If you come I'll pay you. She got wounded in her leg, and it's also burned pretty badly."

Blade turned around and walked out from the alley, taking a brief glance down the street before taking the one to her right. It would still be a while until dinner time. What should she do until then? Blade wandered around for about twenty minutes until she stopped at a fountain. She sat down at its side and then reached for the traveling back that she kept on her back. It had only a few things: A book, a drawing book, pencils, erasers, and several other things that all involved the sake of art; save for the book. She took out the drawing book and a black drawing pencil and began to make the outline of a face. She sat there for probably too long, first drawing out the outline of the face and body and then adding the main features and then the details. She took her time and made the picture with care, despite the fact that there were already many like this one already inside of her art book. Then the sun began going down, but Blade didn't stop. She could still see, after all, because of her gift with shadows she could see perfectly even in pitch black. Then twenty minutes passed and Blade finally stopped and looked down at the picture that she'd made. 'Why do I have to keep on drawing you?' Blade asked silently as the looked down at the young teenage elven boy that had created himself on her paper. She could have at least said something to him before she'd left home. What did he look like now? Blade closed her eyes and tried to get the picture of the boy as a man in her head, however nothing came. She sighed and opened her eyes and shut her book. The picture was finished, she wouldn't color it in. Sometimes you couldn't replace simple black and white.

Blade put her things away and then ran down the street, stopping at a music shop to buy herself new harp strings before taking off for the inn. She ran up, harp and strings in both hands and entered. She took a spot at a table after ordering some soup for herself and then began to take off the old frail strings on her harp.

Boan gave a half-wave as Blade ran off. So she thought it was earth or lightning over the mountains? Both would be attracted to the mountains. In fact, there was probably a good chance they would meet one on the way. The spawn were drawn to places heavy in their one element, so mountains would be a good place to find a few different kinds of spawn. But Boan wasn’t sure if she though they were beyond the mountains or just on the other side of them. Most people didn’t really see the difference between the two, but one meant that the spawn were on the mountain, just on the other side of it, and one meant that they were far off in one direction, and the mountains were just in the way.

Actually, most people probably did know they difference. It was pretty clear. Why had he explained it to himself? That was stupid.

Boan shrugged and started walking, unsure of where he was actually going. The shops here were nice, but he didn’t need to buy anything. He needed to make sure he had everything he needed before he went to the Inn. That was stupid. All he needed was the stuff he was already carrying and some food, which he would buy at the Inn later. Why then, was he staying away from the Inn?

No good reason.

“All right! Off to the Inn!” he yelled out suddenly, scaring two women and a dog nearby. About ten minutes later he was entering the building where Blade had told him to meet her. He’d only been three minutes away from the Inn but he’d been distracted by a few women along the way.

As soon as he came in he saw a man at a desk and a hallway that led off to a bar/dining area. Boan tossed a few coins in the man’s direction and said he needed a room. He was told to go to room six, so he went. When he got there he tossed his blanket in and left to the bar, in need of a good drink.

[Not great, but good enough.]
