Or at least she was until the hoodied figure passed by, comming to a complete halt as if by command once ears pricked to the sound of music playing. The overly cloaked figure's body would quicly turn, the ends of it's cloack hissing along the floor until they too rested facing the woman who seemed to be lost in a musical trance of her own.
Was it possible for her to hear anything? Or did one have to be in her face waving their arms about their like a plane director?T'was a wonder with headphones so big. So big, it'd 'cause the shrouded figure to stare at it's own clenched fist in comparision, shaking away the large temptation building up inside to snatch the said headphones and make a good measurement.
Anyway.
The tiny figure soon pulled back it's hood, revealing a mis-matched eyed woman who's hair had been cut short by blade tip recently and slicked back on one side into a skeleton clip the other a choppy mess of bedhead, a full bottom lip tucked under a pointy canine. Fanned ears opening and closing slowly and then rapidly as if going to the beat that played in the woman's headphones along her right cheek were two small slits, used to breathe once underwater. And the tail, that long serpant like tail, well, lets just say it was behaving...for once.
'Introduce yourself.'
"Ahem..." A gloved hand would come up to halfly cover the woman's mouth, head tilted down just a tad while eyes remained glued to her shape. "I'm wondering if you can hear me, and...by any chance you can, amazed at how great your hearing as after blasting such loud music. Though I do say, good choice of music if any at all." Cue the childish smile, and there she went, being all friendly toward strangers again.
So, why exactly was she here?
Who knows?

The girl was in the midst of a thrashing pirouette when the hand reached for her, 'catching her surprise... or rather alarm. She'd been so into her music, that she hadn't noticed she was no longer alone.
"Aiiiyyyyyyyye!!"
The startled screech escaped her lips even as her own hand reached up in a failed attempt to muffle the scream. Large grey eyes bulged as she took in the hoodied girl, slightly dizzy from twirling.
She saw lips move and made a 'Qua'? expression at her and then her features changed to a =o!! ... >_<;; as she slipped off the DJ's and grinned sheepishly at the stranger.
Words to Scooter's 'The Logical Song' seeped out the headphones and danced in the air with a life of their own.
"Ah! You like Scooter?"

And it'd be Ray who just went with it and screamed as well, no reason to, she just figured if one person was doing it, she might as well do it too though, just not as loud or wide eyed.
And then she'd stop, nodding her head rapidly, holding out the small little iPod shuffle she'd carried around with her, zooming all the way to where the collection rested, and continued to grow. Thanks to a certain someone.
"Of course I do! Bad days, scooter makes them better. "
She'd smile wide, acting like a child even though she was already twenty years of age.
Jutting out her hand she'd continue on smiling.
"M'names Ray, whats yours?"

The girl grin and bobbed her head excitedly. EXUBERANTLY even LoL This new chicka seemed pretty cool. There she was, judging people based on a cute face again. Ah well...
She thrust her own hand out and clasped Ray's firmly, a strong shake.
"I get you, Heh. Music therapy!"
She grins, a lopsided sort of cheeky grin.
"I'm Airin! But you can call me Rin~"

"Yesh yesh! Music therapy!"
Ray's head would tilt to the side just slightly before tilting over the other side, and then back again. Eyes staring into Rin's own eyes curiously.
"Rin."
The small curious pout would be dominated soon by that big girn again, as Ray began chanting Rin's name over and over, skipping even as she chanted like some Preschooler as recess.
"Allo Rin! S'a pleasure to meet you! But, can I ask what your doing out here all alone? What with you being a human and all.."
She'd taken a guess, a wild guess at that, this was Gaia. Who the hell was human anymore?

"Eh-heh... I guess my humanity is a rare thing these days. I guess nature didn't see fit to include me in her plans for evolution..."
There was something slightly bitter about Rin's remark but she smiled that goofy smile just the same. She was for all intents and purposes, normal and could boast of no special abilities or powers. She was average... regular... But looking at her, you couldn't call her dull or boring, the spirited girl teamed with life and energy!
"I was just kickin' back and listening to some tunes. What about you'?"

((Because I can't keep waiting on Kain and Tenma, and I need to start Deploying GUARDIAN and RP'ing their activities for the sake of Events between Leviathan and the DSBG... I'm skipping ahead. ))
// The morning after the first round HoH, December 'o6 //
Aiysin, the prodigy renowned amongst her peers as the Dark Sakura's Gatekeeper and the 4th squad's Seer... sat cross legged in front of a a large silver tray of water, a huge weighted ball suspended from a silver chain, attached to her wrist, spun wildly above the water's surface creating a fury of small ripples. Lifting the pendant from the water pan, Aiysin sighed as the water turned from crystal clear, to an inky black.
She looked up to her commander and shook her head wearily. She'd been trying for hours to locate Sierra.
Kimiho had contacted her second in command with an urgent distress call. It had happened that evening after the initial rounds of a tournament hosted by Leviathan Stadium near Latent...
Victor had finally re-emerged. And like last year's HoH... he had left with Ra'kar.
The demoness had re-awoken and resumed her alliance with Vahn's brother.
But more troubling... was that they couldn't track her using Sierra's spirit to guide them. Her presence had vanished entirely."It's no use... I've been scrying since last night Kimi-sama. This is the result I get every time. It's much like the darkness I am shown when a soul has departed this world in death... yet something in this darkness lives. Faintly... But beyond that faint pulse of life, I can see and sense nothing. I do not know where the Princess has disappeared..."Aiysin hung her head in shame for not being of more use. Sweat beaded her brow and she looked ready to collapse.
Kimiho punched the wall beside her angrily as she pushed her bangs back out of her face in an irritated huff. "It's my fault... I should have been at her side. I should have stopped this...""Kimiho... Do not beat yourself up over this. The responsibility is not yours, it is GUARDIAN's. We should not have trusted her with that Devil or the Scion."The feline woman nods as she crosses her arms, her fine brows furrowed, deep in thought."There was a large amount of emotional distress from that direction, before I stopped feeling Sierra and Ra'kar surfaced once more. The energy was violent, deadly... She attacked Vahn.""Vahn..."The silver haired woman dipped her fingers into the pan of water, repeating his name softly... and an image of Vahn, huddled in blankets with an anxious Sunstrike appeared. His eyes were vacant as he seemed striken dumb."Sunstrike...""What about him?""He has something to do with this. His relationship with the Scion factors into the balance... we will need to watch them both... perhaps they will be able to help us save her.""You don't think that using the man he loves in her stead will make the situation worse?""I don't know... but where one is, so is the other. It will be easier to just factor both of them in to our operations.""I understand. I will send---""Yourself and Lysira.""Eh?""I will be returning to the Crimson Hawk Hotel as well... but I want you and your sister placed on the Scion and the Sun. If the need to spirit them to safety arises, you can gate globably, Lysira has the strongest connection to you and next to you, is the most reliable Gater. You will be able to keep them safe... they are the last two people who saw Sierra-Hime. NOTHING must happen to them.""I understand. I will prepare and tell Lysira to do the same.""Be ready to leave by tonight.""Yes m'lady."With that, Aiysin tucked the weighted ball and chain back into her sleeve and left the scrying room to find her younger half sister and prepare for their departure.

A silver arbor formed itself on the center of the southern bridge, anyone who may have been around would note that the Gatekeeper was returning home and go on about their business. Many of the guilds residents knew that the strange woman preferred gating to this location... someone had asked her why once, and she had replied 'Because the first thing I see when I step through that gate, is the heart of the place I love most.'
On the Aeka side of things...
Aiysin entered the gate behind Sunstrike and together they stepped through into a beautiful courtyard garden that seemed caught in the transition of Late winter and early spring. In the center of the courtyard, was a large cherry blossom tree, that despite being out of season... was in full bloom. These blossoms too, were unique in their colouration. instead of being the vibrant or pale pinks that was customary for this particular flower, They were a deep crimson, the very tips so dark that they looked black. Around the tree, carved into the stone ground in a mosaic, was an elaborate spell circle, with lines that extended from it, tracing through the cracks of the cobblestone paths.
Stone lanterns illuminated the garden, since true dark had set in now. Here and there, stone statues added to the stunning decor. The perimeter of the garden was edged in moat of sorts. It was like a tiny channel of water that ran about 4 feet deep and 5 feet wide on all four sides of the garden. In the center of each side, was a tiny japanese bridge leading in the four directions of the compass.
This, was the heart, the very centermost place in all of the DSBG Estate.
Aiysin smiled even as she executed a low, formal bow.
"Welcome to the Dark Sakura, Sunstrike... honoured guest."

Sunstrike opened his mouth to speak, and then shut it in silence. It's beautiful... Somehow that didn't seem as saying that was enough. So he asked an odd question instead.
"Has Vahn been here before?" His back was to Aiysin, so she couldn't read his expression, but the voice was light enough, innocent.
He went to the tree as he spoke, but didn't step over the spell to touch. The need to reach out and feel it was very real in his head, but there was no telling in the dark whether or not doing so would disrupt something so delicate looking.
The lantern light spilled a little colour over his form, dried blood making dark patches and shadows where there usually weren't. Sunstrike looked almost wispy, as if the day's and nights events had finally caught up with him in a last ditch effort to undermine his health.

Aiysin replied softly.
"The last time the Scion stayed here, was just before Providence destroyed Leviathan... Then everything with Victor happened and he hasn't returned since."
She moved to stand beside him and placed his arm around her shoulder, not so much as carrying him, but giving him just enough support to balance out the bummed up leg.
"I'll take you to the Head Quarters, you can use one the ambassador suites. They're located on the floor beneath Sierra's penthouse."
She would lead them around to the south end of the garden, and over an identical bridge to the one they had stepped onto through the gate. Crossing that, Sunstrike would find himself in another garden, a fountain at the center of this one.
"This is the south court garden, there's one for each direction of the compass."
She followed a path due south, through the winter barren trees out onto a frosty expanse of lawn. Down the path, peeking out over the treetops, sun would be able to see it.
A Pagoda-esque building constructed in the style of a castle during the Japanese Edo period. A culture and time period that Sierra had stumbled across when she found herself in Gaia's realm. One that she fell in love with instantly, the strong passion for the arts and the perfectionist way of living reminding her of her own people.
"If you think it looks beautiful now..."
She panted slightly and shook her head.
"Then you should see it in the late spring and early summer at the height of it's beauty."

Sun touched Aiysin as lightly as he could, not making any forward gestures, despite the closeness. He really did need a hand suddenly, and it was a toss up as to whether or not he'd make it to a bed.
Vahn's been here once, before... Even tired it didn't take a genius to connect a to b. The children spoke for that. <********>
But he wasn't sorry, at least not for just being there. If he'd known... he wasn't sure it was completely honest to say that he might have had some regret. Hell, there really wasn't any point harping over that now, not like he could change any of it.
He was silent for a good time, even when she mentioned what it looked like later on. And he spoke before thinking.
"If it's all still here..." He regretted that, the moment it fell out of his mouth, and he winced visably.

"If anything survives... the Dark Sakura will be amongst them. If not, nothing will be around to regret or mourn the loss of such beauty."
She smiled in a gentle reassuring sort of way, giving the hand over her shoulder a small squeeze.
"But we're not going to let it come to that."
She seemed resolute. Any doubts that had been lurking within her in the cavern vanished. It was if she drew strength and resolution just from being back within the bounds of her home.
The Dark Sakura was a sanctuary.
Aiysin was already looking better, perhaps Sunstrike too, would be able to find the reprieve he so badly needed.
They reached the steps of the castle, and Aisyin stepped up first, so that she could help lift Sunstrike, taking the undue stress off his leg as he climbed to the next step. The process was repeated 25 times until finally they were both panting before the massive cast iron and oak doors.
"Apparently.... *huff*Huff* the concept of a *Cough* ramp... escaped m'lady *huff* when they built this place..."

"Well..."Mirrored pant. "I'm sure...they weren't....expecting....a cripple." Again his voice was light, not bothered at all. It would have taken close friends to realize that Sun wasn't really joking at all, at least not on the inside.
Truth was, Vahn and Sun had a lot of similar traits, and while Sun wasn't as open about his pride...it was still there. Being helped up the stairs by a much more petite body was needed, but it twanged the gentleman inside of him something cronic.
"Tell me this is the last floor, I'm not sure either of us can take another flight of stairs."
