Movement caught Lorissa’s attention and her keen eyes immediately settled upon the form of an Andras. Alone…? She frowned slightly then shook her head as it moved, possibly to report to its fellows. Silently, she slipped after the monster, noting it’s progress but didn’t follow too closely or really even proceed too far. Pausing, she tapped one of her many technorings and released her Cicus Hawk, a long time companion and invaluable asset in her stealthy spying. Clicking his beak, Whisper took to the air and glided after the Andras, reporting back to Lorissa on what he saw as the monster rejoined his group.
Thin lips pursed at the news that half a dozen of the monsters had gathered… territorial little buggers they were. Leaving Whisper to his job, the naga moved off and soon enough found Danek. “There are six, ready to ride. Should we surprise them?” She favoured surprise attacks and ambushes to any other style of fighting, a tactic that often worked well in the Forests.
Danek thought a moment, “How far?” He looked in the direction she’d come from and frowned , his canine teeth bared slightly.
“About six hundred feet from the clearing.”
“Ah.” His frown turned into a small smile. Not too close then… “Myself and Vorrian intercept while you and Taevis come in from behind. Catch them up in a snare.”
“Understood.” She left once more, taking an arcing route that would leave her in a position to ambush from behind while Taevis, having heard the summoning call from Danek.
“Six. Be ready to leave should we call for it.” He smiled at Vanga before turning and disappearing into the vegetation. Something caught his eye, however, as he cast one last look over the gathered zeros. Frowning, he padded over to Sombre and stood before her, blocking her path. "Remain here. Go back to your partner, understood? Now is not the time to be wandering off." He bent over slightly and shooed the little girl back towards the rest. They couldn't have a stray wandering off, that would be disastrous. Looking over at Vanga and Quenda, he called to them, "Watch her." Standing up tall once more, he addressed the clearing as a whole, "No one is to leave this clearing. Doing so will result in an appearance before the Chorus." His gaze swept over those gathered, meeting each one's eyes in turn to emphasize the point. This was an order that would not be broken lightly.
Vorrian, in the meantime, knew this set-up well and was already making his way towards Danek’s area, listening to the communication that utilized Whisper as a sort of eye in the sky. Casting a smile at the Phlegm as he passed by, the Choleric bid Danek good luck and took up his position.
Keep the Andras away from the Citizens – that was their priority.

 Grave shortly practised a mudra with one hand to calm himself and then snipped another root from the struggling Mandrake. He calmly placed the snippets in the burlap sack and nodded to Blayk. That will do for that plant. Next, one up I suppose?" He wiped his hands shortly on his pants and offered a half-hearted smile.  Danna nodded gratefully as Arwen placed their clippings into the sack and shoved the thing back into the ground. It's squirming stilled somewhat as it was again enveloped with rich soil. She picked up the trowel and hastily spooned earth around the stalk, patting it down until the leaves were again still. Then she turned her attention to the next plant and traded trowel for spritzer. She squirted the leaves until they shone with moisture, and then exchanging a glance with her partner pulled the thing from the soil to repeat the process, doing her best not to look at its scrunched up face and howling mouth.  Cyphr peered over the leaves to better see the thing as Aysel worked. "This is so NEAT!" Cyphr squealed excitedly, looking around for Jala, thinking she'd surely enjoy this. When aysel admonished him to hold it still, he tugged down roughly with his other thing, stretching the protesting plant taught between his fists. "Yous gonna clips it, Ay-ay?" Cyphr asked cheerily, watching the thing wriggle a couple of it's shorter fingerlets. "Oooo! Ooo, lookit -that- one, Ay-ay! It looks like a big fat juicy worm! Cut that one! It's be a goodun for a potions, yes?"

Quenda looked up alarmed as Taevis addressed Sombre. She'd been so focussed on her task at hand that she'd not noticed the silent little Melancholic head for the trees. What on earth was the little one thinking? Didn't she understand the graveness of their situation? Morever, the rules were very explicitly clear. If she was disreguarding the Laws.... Quenda remembered Padmir, and how the young Empyrean had gotten out and gotten herself killed. Quenda did not want such an event on her watch.
Vanga stood up suddenly, his lnog and lithe body easily making him look bigger than he actually was. "If I may?" He intoned to the Professora, and she nodded. So intuitive, Vanga was. Quenda wondered how long he'd noticed sobmre's movement. She wished irritably that he'd have said something instead of always simply observing. Vanga swept away from their plot with measured, exacting steps and wound up beside Sobmre.
"Where's your Teammate, girl?" Vanga asked, his eyes flashing grey then magenta, then yellow.

Making a displeased face, 'Ay-ay' placed the first clipping in the bag and blinked incredulously at her partner. He was...enjoying this? Huh. How odd...she couldn't think of anything that could make this task 'neat'. Shaking her head in amusement, Aysel quickly clipped the appendage Cyphr had suggested, and then scooted back a bit. "That'll be enough...from that plant, I think. We don't want to clip it too much..."
Blinking as they were instructed once more to remain in the clearing, Aysel frowned. What was wrong with that girl, hadn't she heard the first time? Perhaps she didn't understand the dangers of being Outside...but still. They'd been expressly told not to wander.

The youth worked in silence, mostly because there wasn't a whole lot to say after the first round; the things obviously unnerved Arwen and her partner, and to talk over it seemed rude somehow. The girl was diligent in her work, regardless, measuring off the four inches, placing the shears correctly and looking away as she cut. No matter her duty, she couldn't bring herself to watch the creature's limbs be removed each time.Team Delta

 Well, that sounded just fine to him. Mat grinned and nodded at the other, glancing around until he spotted a likely set of leaves sticking out of the ground. Then he squirted some water on them from the bottle and grabbed onto the thing, yanking upwards, pulling the plant out of the dirt. Blinking, he eyed the thing ... noticing how it had almost a humanoid face. But it was oddly shaped somehow ... and obviously not very happy about being up out of the ground. Reaching out with his free hand, he grabbed some of the trailing roots and held them out straighter, glancing up at Zethyr. Bored, Morrow glanced around, blinking slightly as he noticed Sombre getting herded back toward the others. Eyes lit up a bit at the sight of the Guardians and he wandered just a bit in that direction, starting on a new page in his sketchbook. He knew better than to go as far toward the forest as the girl had ... but he wasn't doing anything else anyway. He could draw it, right? Emrys watched the other, kind of fidgeting with the scissors in his own hand. Wincing slighlty at the noise the thing made (as he could faintly hear it even through the headphones), he tried very hard to ignore how human-like it looked as he reached out with scissors. Grabbing the end of one tentacle-like root, he tried to snip some off, but lost his grip. Lior laughed as he watched Abacus, amusement in his gold eyes, before he quickly moved to help the other, making sure the smaller boy had a good hold on the Mandrake. "You're doin' good, kiddo," he said, preparing the sheers and moving to snip off the first limb, wrinkling his nose as he did so. "You know... it's kinda unnerving, doing this. I feel almost wrong..." he sighed, shuddering a little, then moved quickly to cut off the other 'limbs', quickly tossing them into the back they had. The Scout returned to its Andras bretherin, a total of six out in the woods. He informed them in his chittering speach about the would-be farmers in the clearing. The Andras chief clicked his beak and they began to shriek lowly at each toher, coaxing, encouraging, readying themselves for battle.
The scout looked up suddenly, seeing a Falcon in the trees. Not a normal beast, an Ether-Beast, the cicus they were called. And it was only ever the Empyreans who kept the Cicus. They knew.
tHe scout pointed it out and the Andras flew into a frenzy. Hositing their javalins they leapt onto the backs of their wolf steeds and tore howling through the trees towards the clearing. No ponit in planning an ambush on folk who already knew you were there...better to howl with the furies of hell and strike fear into your enemies' hearts!
Prepare for a decent of hell-born fury!!

Define "Green Witch" based on the Ul-Zaorith description.Also called the Wand Witch, Green Witches specialize in Elemental Familiars, horticulture and Medicine, and Rune Work. They like to bond Familiars from any element other than fire, and thus need to roll two NMP checks when trying to bond a fire Familiar, although after a successful bonding, they roll normally. Green Witches do not need to roll their NMP check for Rune Work once they develop a proficiency in the skill. They do love company however, and so set their houses close to travelling roads, or set up an inn. Fenna had been working quietly the entire time. Or rather, she had been working as quietly as one could, given the task. While she had jumped at the idea of going outside of the city walls for the first time, she didn't find the experience nearly as exciting as she had originally thought. Clipping roots for potions and getting all dirty wasn't exactly her idea of an awesome fun time, though she did find it oddly fascinating that these plants could move. The headphones were rather cute, too. Were they allowed to keep them, or were they supposed to return the technorings after class?

Lorissa hissed as the Andras charged. They wouldn't cooperate and fall quietly? Ah well, it meant for a little fun. Humming softly, the wizard summoned her tome and flipped to the page with her own, unique spells. They'd be surprised in they fell back from the heavier fighters Danek and Vorrian. Surprised indeed. A wicked little grin spread across her features and she slithered in place, wondering when Taevis would appear - he was late and that bothered her.
With a shrill cry, the cicus hawk took flight and soared to the safety of the sky as the Andras charged forth, his tones noticeable above the racket that had split the silence open.
Smiling, Danek rolling his large shoulders and tapped his keyblade in his hand. Time to exterminate some pests.... As they closed the distance, the frosty Gatekeeper stepped from behind the tree and roared his challenge, a battlecry as the broken man's hackles rose and the crystalline shards clacked together in a truly frightening display. The lupine Empyrean ran forward to meet the Andras, strong legs propelling him forward and a surprising speed.
Vorrian remained where he was, knowing that one or two might slip by the growling, brawling fighter that was Danek. That, and he didn't want to get caught between Danek and an enemy when he was like this - the Choleric bore a few scars from misplaced keyblade and claw. The most fleet of foot of their quad, Vorrian was usually the one to run down any escapees anyways, and he danced a little on his hooves, a little anxious to get going.
Taevis nodded to Vanga as he, and probably several others of the group, heard the characteristic battlecry of Danek. Cursing softly, the bard pointed at the city, "Go back. Now. Hurry!" He waited a moment to ensure that people would start moving and then turned to disappear into the forest, seeming to blink out of existence just on the edge of the trees as he activated his favoured technoequip - the camoflauge pack. While the edges of his form wavered and warped, if you weren't looking, he'd be next to impossible to spot. A rustle and a brief glint heralded his exit as he drew his keyblade and joined the others.

Quenda scrambled to her feet and looked around. Time for them to go. Whatever they'd managed to harvesty would have to be enough. She seized her burlap sack in one hand and pointed back to the City with the other. "Everyone, run for the City!!" Quenda stared at their awe-struck faces. "Immediately!!!" She shriekd, and gathering her tools in a quick swoop of her hand she began herding the groups on the farther edge of the clearing back towards the City Wall.
Vanga, as soon as Taevis spoke dropped what he was doing and stood. His skin flushed fiery orange and red from its normal ashen pale. His eyes began to glow golden and his pupils shifted to the shape of a cat's. With a low growl of pain, his shirt split across the shoulders and slipped tattered down his arms to make room for a blinding white and crimson pair of feather and bone wings. From his brow spouted a crown of fiery-coloured feathers. The Sanguine impetus had him now, pumped the blood through his veins a little faster. It was time to fight or defend. Vanga was ready. Instinctively he glanced towards the little one who had tried to wander off but minutes before. He turned to the nearest Team and spoke in a voice that was full of echoes and crashing thunder. "Time to go."

Arwen glanced up at the battlecry, her back turned to the danger blithely. "It seems we have company. I suppose we should finish here and prepare to leave?" she asked Danna in a calm voice. She measured four inches, closed her eyes and cut another root, not in the least bit bothered by her observation anymore than if she was talking about the weather.
The girl gathered the roots and placed the cut ones in the sack, standing and idly brushing off her dress. No sooner had she stood did the Professora shriek her command, prompting Arwen to extend her hand to Danna, not wanting to leave her partner behind. She was filled with the silent thrill of finally being able to go back to the City; the girl was welcoming of the chance to leave the Outside, despite the grounds it came on. While she wasn't an advocate of battle, she was certainly ready to return to all that was familiar and comforting.
