Ian sat up. This action was allowed by the fact that he had woken up just a few moments ago. Looking about at the abandoned church he scratched his head and tried to figure out what was going on. Last thing he remembered was walking through the portal after he just finished talking to Tren. Standing up slowly he took another good look around the church again.
It was old, in the sense that another few years and it would collapse in on itself, and that there was a lot of shadows throughout the place. It seemed almost meant for a thousand people rather then just a hundred. At least a dozen rows of pews across and at least a hundred down. This place put many other churches to shame.
Looking down the aisle he saw something. A faint glow, that seemed to come from where the pastor would usually stand. Walking down the empty building he slowly began to come closer and closer finally realizing what it was.
"The Scythe....."
The words seemed to echo off the walls and instead of becoming fainter, seemed to almost grow until it was like a choirs of thousands of people all screaming those two words. Ian fell to his knees covering his ears in an attempt to block out the sound but it seemed to only make things worse.
After several long agonizing moments Ian slowly heard the voices dim down and finally go quiet. As he knelt there in the middle of the aisle, he had his eyes closed tightly, he took several long breaths before suddenly standing up and swinging around, slamming his fist into the massive spider sneaking up on him, his fist smashed into the bugs skull and he felt a resounding crack as his fist pushed past its hard shell into it's skull. The spider was sent flying back and from the corners, ceiling, and every other place imaginable they swarmed out of their hiding spots, rushing Ian.
"Time to die..."

Jude actually knew exactly where the church was...like he knew exactly where everything ese in this bloody city was. He jumped to within a block of the building, pulling out his guns and checking to make sure they were loaded before advancing. Just because the voice that had instructed him sounded like a know-it-all, it didn't mean Jude had to trust him. Jude tried not to trust anybody... Jude looked over the building from the outside...looked like it ought to be condemned. Jude looked around..it seemed pretty quiet...nothing happening. "Okay," he said aloud, "I'm here, at the church at the edge of town." He felt ridiculous. (I posted Jan! Aren't you happy?))

Suddenly with a crash the main stain glass window burst into several thousand pecies as a spider the size of a bus flew through and crashed into the ground in front of Jude. Slowly trying to stand the spider toppled into the ground and it's wounds began to pulse with it's sickly green blood. After a few moments it tried to stand again when, from the window it just crashed though, a sythe, attached to a chain, arched out from inside the curch and imbbeded itself into the spiders skull. Suddenly it was pulled fowards and, the sythe comeing out, the spider flew once again before smashing with a sickening 'splurch' into the doors of the church.

At the sound of crashing glass Jude had lifted his guns hastily, surprised at the rather dramatic entrance of the very large spider. "You guys again..." he rolled his eyes briefly and pulled back the hammer to shoot, however, he was interrupted by a very familiar looking scythe. "Hell no.....if you think I'm gonna help him with this, you're out of your friggin' mind," Jude hissed, under his breath, to the voice that had directed him here. There was another possibility however...and Jude was thinking that maybe his original assumption had been incorrect. Perhaps it wasn't the Mistake he needed to help, but the spiders! Of course, after what he'd been through earlier, that didn't seem especially likely. Jude shrugged and released the hammer on his guns, shifting them back to his holster. The only way he was gonna find out was to get inside. Walking over to the very dead looking spider blocking the church doors, he looked it over and shook his head slightly, accompanying it with a sigh. He couldn't even walk through the door. Turning slightly sideways, Jude charged the wall, breaking through and leaving a goodly sized hole behind him. Shaking the dust and crumbled mortar off himself, Jude returned his attention to finding out just who was preaching the sermon these days.

Ian had taken a seat on the raised platform that held up a giant crucifix with Christ right over the Mistakes head. Ian had one leg hanging over the side of the platform while the other's foot rested on it and gave something for Ian to lay his arm on. His other hand was hanging at his side holding a huge ornate Scythe, which glowed with a dark black hue, and it almost seemed like the weapon pulsed every time Ian muttered something.
He hung his head low and let a few drops of the poisonous blood drip off his matted and messy hair. As he looked down at his body his eyes glazed over the many wound and injuries covering him, from burns to cuts to chucks of his skin and clothes ripped off. Hearing foots steps he looked up and over to the door. The church was virtually destroyed and parts of spiders were everywhere. The walls were drenched in green blood and many of the pillars were dangerously weak, making the entire building seem ready to fall.
"You…”

((Estatic)) Jude immediately noticed a change in his nemesis' weapon. He found it rather interesting, though he preferred the look of something simple rather than the ornate scyth the Mistake held. It was obvious that the Mistake appeared to be in terrible condition, but Jude refused to allow that to affect his judgement...thing were rarely what they seemed to be, and he already mistrusted the Mistake.
The chaos though! He revelled in the Chaos..and death..and pain. It was like the tase of sweet blood. Jude's eyes burned red as he gazed up the aisle...and then to the crucifix. He hissed terribly, suddenly feeling as if he were burned. Jude had put Him there. A searing pain to his gut and Jude's attention was refocused. He didn't mind the pain, it kept his mind clear and uncluttered by things like the past..his past.
Instead, pain gave way to anger, anger directed at the Mistake. "Yessss..." Jude was filled with the desire to end the Mistakes pitiful existence. " I am needed here it seems. To kill you. Prepare." Jude pulled one gun and morphed his left hand, pulling the trigger with his right.

(( rolleyes ))
The bullet periced the air as it flew stright at Ian the bang that followed and the burst of light from the gun's muzzle allowed Ian to time his next move. With blurring speed a blade slash could be heard and the, as the bullet neared his body, the mistake vanished in a surge of black smoke and shadow. The shot passed through the combination of smoke and shadow and hit the base of the cross behind with a metalic clang.
In a same burst of smoke and shadow, Ian appared behind the Correction and sneered as he looked at him.
"Do you not consider me a threat? Or are you just as unskilled as I had assumed..."
Dissipireing again the church was dead silent for a moment, before a massive screeching could be heard. The cross that Jude had shot suddenly started to lean fowards as the massive crusifix fell fowards, aiming to crush him.

((Right baqck at'cha)) Jude would've replied with his own snide comment had he not been made to draw his attention to the falling cross. A sudden thought that maybe he would finally be punished by his betrayed was shoved out with another burst of pain in his gut.
Jude twisted about ninety degrees and lept out of the way of the falling crucifix...he probably had even more time because he hit the floor behind the pews at least a few seconds before the heavy cross crashed to the ground behind him.
Flat on his stomach, Jude pushed up hard, propelling his upper body into the air several inches. As his torso fell towards the ground once more, he bent like he would somersault and pushed againt, using his arms to handspring back into a standing position.
He looked around. As far as the naked eye could see, the church was empty. He wasn't sure himself actually....but he was angry. Not the childish sort of anger that's actually directed at anyone in particular...but that fueling sort of rage.
"So you've learned a few tricks." His voice was a growl..certainly different from eariler when they'd fought..much deeper and rougher.
"But no, I do not consider you, a mere Mistake, a threat. Not even now." Jude's gun was at the ready...he would hit this next time, he was sure...cocky even.
