The only show out of those you'd mentioned that I've seen is Bewitched. My mom named me after Elizabeth Montgomery. wink
The Fantastic Four movie looks like it will be good. Jade's looking forward to it, of course. She likes all the super hero movies, and can't wait to see Batman Begins, and she loves watching Daredevil and Elektra and Spiderman and Catwoman, and even Hellboy. Bewitched will probably be good because if I remember, the actors in it are good.
I watched The Order the other night with Heath Ledger, and I really liked it! It seemed like it should have been like one of those Da Vinci Code/Angels & Demons books! And it was interesting to SEE those parts of Rome after reading Angels & Demons.
Oh, and we saw Robots in the dollar theater, and we all really liked that, and Jade did too. I'd have to watch it again and again to catch all the little funny things they added in though, like how human life translates into Robot life (example, a neighbor robot using a buffer to shine his green 'lawn' instead of mowing it.)

morphingbutterfly ok...jellys daisy duke outfit got meto thinking(very dangerous xp )...but here is a question for everyone...what does everyone think of all these old tv shows being turned into movies...is there any one in particular you are looking forward to seeing... the honeymooners, dukes of hazard, bewitched, or lets in also include the fantastic four.... Bewitched I'm looking forward to seeing cuz it looks like it's done in a different way. dukes i'm iffy on simply cuz of Jessica Simpson...i'm not a big fan of hers and not sure she can pull Daisy off. Fantastic 4 i can't WAIT for!!! I am kinda torn on the whole thing tho. The remaking of old TV shows into movies or the older movies into updated versions even. I feel Hollywood has run out of ideas. But a part of me thinks if they can be made better (or different to reflect the changing times) then why not. I don't know. Either way, you better believe i will be seeing all those movies this summer in some form or another xd

i like the idea of old shows being made into movies, though sometimes they lose the charm that you found appealing in the first place.new films are sometimes a bit too slick to catch the true feeling of the original programs. having said that i enjoyed Charlies Angel's but i know many others didn't. i'd like to see a film made of Taxi, i used to love that show, but it would have to be set in the 70's still, and they would have to get Danny DeVito to play Louie again. i saw the film of The Avengers a few months back, i hear it bombed at the cinema but i really enjoyed it. it's all down to personal taste isn't it? but i rather liked the idea of despatching your enemy with your umbrella then going for a nice cup of tea biggrin

oh i loved the old reruns of taxi...now would you want others from the original cast there too...i think only andy kaufman is the only one not alive anymore...do you remember the movie man in the moon..when they were showing the scenes where they were filming taxi...everyone was there except for tony danza....but he wasnt there cause he really didnt like andy if i remember neutral ....loves that movie
what about i dream of genie...how about a movie for that show 3nodding ...
in a way i think that it is cool about making a movie out of a show you grew up watching...whether the first time threw or even just threw the reruns..
what about the popular shows of today...do you think that they will start making movies about them orwait until the shows are classic to redo them...in all honesty..i am surprised that a charmed movie hasnt been made..but i think that that will not be too good...its kinda hard to ball up so much about a show and condense it down to just 2 hours of entertainment...
and i agree with you jelly...all movies are about what appeals to who...i have found that i loved the movies that most people said that they hated...and hated what others raved on about...but there is one thing i dont do..i wont take a critics opinion on a movie...cause normally it is the same thing...they said it wasnt worth a flip and in my opinion it was.... rofl
ok...i think the butterfly has talked enough on this subject...sheesh..who even knew she could talk this much surprised

Bewitched is cute! It is not what you expect. It is a movie about an actor trying to revive his career by remaking a tv series. It is still a tv series, meaning not a movie. The premise is totally not what I was expecting. The best thing about it is that the character who gets hired to portray Samantha is named Isabell Bigelow! That is my maiden name! I loved it. I could have liked it better without Nicole Kidman, I've never really liked her. Shirley McLain does a fantastic job portraying an actress playing Endora. So I guess with this you get the idea of what the movie is. It is not the tv series made movie. This fact kinda threw me at first.

Hi I'm new and I'm just going to jump right in here. xd
Yesterday I took my son to see the Herbie movie. The old movie was on cable tv a couple of weeks ago (which I obviously saw when I was a child) so my son got to see what the old movie was like. We absolutely loved the new one. I didn't look at my watch even once. And I've ordered the soundtrack because the songs were all from my era and I found myself jiggling my foot.
Being halfway through our school holidays, next week we'll go see the Heffalump movie.
Mum and I will probably go see War of the Worlds (even though I hate Tom Cruise) and we'll go see Bewitched which starts any day now.

So since I might go see War of the Worlds tomorrow....
Who is old enough to remember the seventies double album with narrated story and music? I soooo love that music, still. Doo doo doo!

I heard a review of the War of the Worlds movie which made me decide not to pay the money to go see it and wait until it comes to one of the cable channels like HBO or whatever. Supposedly, it did so well at the box office because there wasn't much competition so nothing else to see.

I was told by a couple different relatives who saw it to DEFINITELY go see it, and it's worth the money. We normally don't go see stuff at the theater at full price (unless it's LOTR or something!) and sometimes wait until the dollar theater or until it's out on video, but we were told it's worth the full price.

So many people raved about how good War of the Worlds was. Boy was I disappointed. I was supposed to go yesterday but didn't get there until tonight. I was actually bored most of the time. xp I'll stick to the seventies album.

My son and I went to see War of the Worlds a couple weeks ago (only because Land of the Dead was showing too late razz )
It was alright, not the best movie I've seen. It had some pretty good graphics and action, but I was disappointed in the ending. Plus, I really can't stand Tom Cruise now evil I wish someone would stick a pin in his bottom and deflate some of that hot air

My son and I watched Cursed last night, and I thought it was pretty good. We guessed who the werewolf was pretty much at the beginning, but we still liked it.
I'm a big horror movie fan, so don't be surprised if alot of the movies I post about are in the horror genre xp

That's fine by me... I used to see all the scary ones. When I was still dating my husband, we went to all of them. Even to a Fangora convention.

I wasn't all that impressed with it, but then I really don't find zombies scary. Also saw fantastic Four...now THAT was an AMAZING movie! I loved it! even made me cry a little. Ben always was my favorite. Tonight it's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and War of teh Worlds. I can't stand Tom Cruise right now either, but i love little Dakota Fanning. She's amazing.

Dakota Fanning really is great. She amazed me in I Am Sam, and in every movie since. She's really a great actress to be as young as she is. I really want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think I'm gonna try to take Devan to see it in the next couple of weeks
