"I'm glad you like it," spoke Zayne happily. He was grinnign ear to ear, for he rather enjoyed it when his small gifts made others happy. Leannig back in his chair, he looked at the tiny animal for a moment, with a smile on his face, before looking up at the brightly coloured drapes that hung across the cieling. Really, it looked like they were prepared for a festival at the Guild, though it was like that all the time.

Looking around momentarily, the green-eyed man got up swiftly, and closed a cupboard door that had slipped open. Sometimes, the elder sorcerors were in a hurry or too distracted to close the drawers, and that could be dangerous. Especially for the ones housing potentially harmful spices and herbs.

{{I'm off again... sorry 'bout the prolonged absence, I had other stuff to do this past week, and now I'm going to my grandparents cottage. See you in a week (I hope!).}}

Kaede happily played with the little fox as they waited for the others to return. She noticed casually when Zayne got up to close the cubbored. She understood the risks of course, as she was training in the art of potion making and knew how deadly some of the ingredents could be.

"So this is your guild...its quite brightly coloured and cheerful. Are they preparing for a festival of some sort?" Kaede asked, trying to make conversaton.

((Ok! Have fun Wolfy! I will wait patiently for your return!))

Looking up and at her, Zayne furrowed his brow slightly. Hre wasn't upset or misunderstanding, but he was slightly confused. Weren't all guilds that colourful? He'd never been in another one, for guilds were kept solely to their members and their direct relations, so, naturally, he was jsut a little lost. It didn't help that he was far more book smart than common-sensed.

"No.. It always looks like this. The Guildmaster shifts the banners around once a week or so, for variation, though," answered the yonug man, grinning warmly.

The guild's fondness for colours was also reflecting in the unqiue robes of each particular apprentice's clothes. Some had neon colours, others random, gaudy patterns. A couple even had multi-types of robes made completely out of varying patches.

For his part, Zayne had mostly green robes, that complimented his eyes. But, he simply ha dan affinty for the colour. Under his deep green cloak, were a jungle-type of green robes.

Masato gazed up at the guild, faintly taking in it's beauty. Most of his thoughts remained on how safest to escape the clutches of this rather strong woman and the mixed breed on his other side. He saw a man dressed in long, green robes, and a woman who seemed to be cuddling a small fox creature. He wondered for a bit whether the pair were companions of the two women holding him captive.

{{Captive? Captive! Bwahahaha! ^^}}

"Ah hah!" Came Aislinn's voice from the doorway, "There you are!"

Kenaz looked around. Aislinn and Osyth were standing in the doorway, each holding the arm of a tall man. The front of his shirt was ripped and Kenaz could see one of Aislinn's bandages on his chest. Osyth was clutching a knife which wasn't hers.

"We found this guy in an alley," she continued, "He was trying to kill himself. He's cut up really badly, and he wanted to be left to die."

"I wouldn't let him," Osyth murmured, astonishment plain on her face.

"He claims he doesn't need it, and that he's done the same before, but I think he needs healing." Her eyes said what she didn't dare say aloud: And help for depression. Kenaz nodded and the three of them walked in.

"What's your name, friend?" he asked, placing a friendly hand on the man's shoulder.

Hearing the others approach, Zayne had been ready with a smile and a wwave, but that gesture froze about half-way at the severity of the wound. And so did the smile. See, that was the sort of thing that traumatized people, whether or not they'd seen them before; which, Zayne had. Though, only upon occasion, when one of the younger sorcerors tried to conjure up something beyond their control at the time. It got downright gruesome sometimes.

Shaking off his momentary shock, the young man stepped aside and motioned at the nearest bed, before rushing off to find a doctor. Perhaps they hadn't known what to do with Kaede, but stab and slash wounds they could treat.

|| Yes, CAPTIVE! You guys just wouldn't leave him there to die, and if he got away, you'd just grab him again. So yeah, CAPTIVE. ^^ ||

Masato noticably relaxed his shoulders. He knew he wasn't going to get away now. But that didn't stop him from trying. He shrugged off the man's hand. I don't need this right now, he thought. "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" he demanded angrily, ignoring the constant throb in his chest. He tried to wrench himself free, but the woman's grio was too tight. He winced in pain, and took in calm, deep breaths.

Kaede watched the arrival of Aislinn and Kenaz with the injured man in silence. Her heart went out to the man. What could have possibly happened to him? She absentmindedly stroked the little fox as she watched.

((Not really sure what to write...maybe i'll think of something and post again later))

{{Sure. 'Tis fine.}}

"Because," Aislinn said with that too-patient air that meant that she was close to losing her patience, "Death is not the answer. You are a fool to try, especially in the middle of a city. You are going to be healed, and you are going to stop complaining, because I have herbs that can knock you out for a week, and I will use them if you don't." She gripped his shoulder and steered him over to the bed that Zayne had indicated. "Lie down."

Kenaz watched in silence, hovering between worry over the man and relief that an experienced healer had arrived. He wouldn't have to guess any more at what he should do. He sat gently on the end of the bed while Aislinn and Osyth forcibly put their patient into bed.

|| Thanks! ^.^;;;-- ||

"I have my own reasons for doing what I did," Masato retorted, annoyed at this woman. "So I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave me alone. You don't understand. Kill me now. Before it's too late." He paused before adding on the last bit, and chose to use a quiet tone until it sank in. "Before I kill all of you." And with that, he rolled over, and closed his eyes.

Zayne returned, doctor in tow. The doctor was an elderly man, complete with snow-white beard and a pointy purple hat. He was one of the few remaining elder sorcerors who still wore pointy hats; the fashion had dictated more cloak and cowls as of the last fifty years, but the eldest sorcerors weren't about to conform to THAT trend. Zayne himself preferred neither, but did wear a cloak with the hood down, in case it rained.

"I have him! Sorry for the wait, but Mr. Bubblestroff was napping."

He wasn't even joking about the man's last name. Either way, the frail looking old man went over to where Masato slept, and examined the wound, before tottering off to a nearby cupboard and fishnig for a few things in it, muttering to himself pleasantly. It was so rare he had a good stab wound to treat.

Turning back to the rest of the group, the young sorceror smiled and sat down in a chair.

"How badly is he hurt, anyways?"
