Kira, noticing no one else had started, timidly started singing the birthday song for Makie."Happy birthday to you..."He started then got too nervous to sing on his own.

Just then, Rayna and Charlie walked into the dorm room, smiling. Next to Rayna was a girl, with long, frizzy blond hair and greenish-hazel eyes. She had really light skin and stood about Rayna's height. Charlie stood behind the two, his hands shoved in his pockets as he looked around. Rayna held something thin in her hands- a present. The wrapping was pink and red strawberries going across it- Rayna thought it was fitting for Makie somehow. She had went last night to a store and found it, and bought it immediately. The girl with the blond hair stood on her tip-toes, looking around. She, too, had a package in her hands- it was small and square, with a light blue wrapping paper with the design of confetti scattered around it. "Where's this 'Makie' you told me about?" she asked. Rayna looked around, too, her tail swishing and her fox ears twitching. But the jingles of her earrings were inaudible, do to the music. "I don't know." Rayna answered.
"There!" Charlie called, pointing over to her. She was talking to Hikaru, whom they all knew, and another girl. Rayna turned to both of them, smiling. "Let's go greet her!" she said, making her way towards Makie, the two following. Rayna finally reached them. "Makie!" Rayna said loudly. "Happy Birthday!" she told her, handing her the rather thin present. Almost paper-thin, if it wasn't for the wrapper. She then motioned to the girl next to her. "This is Kylie." she said. Kylie smiled, waving at Makie. "Happy Birthday." she said, tilting her head. Charlie looked over the two girls' shoulders and down to Makie. "Ditto." he said, giving her a lop-sided grin.
Rayna looked around. "Isn't it another girl's birthday, too? We got her a present, as well." she told Makie.

Keilantra stopped danncing and ran over to the android.Changing the music to "happy birthday" she stood by the cake and starting singing with the music.'Others will join soon....and any way thay guy needs backup..'"Happy birthday to you..."

Rivera joined in, but all she could manage was a whisper. She couldn't make her voice any louder, no matter how hard she tried... "Happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you..." She started getting a real voice after the second verse, "Happy birthday, dear Makie, happy--" Rivera got cut off by a small coughing fit. This happened before once, in the music hall. That time, she had ignored the warning and kept on trying to sing, which ended up with her coughing blood. Rivera bit her lip and stopped her coughing as well as she could. It already hurt to speak or breath. She could feel the faint taste of iron in the back of her throat. Of course, Rivera ignored it completely.
Kai didn't know the words, but Usagihana did. The little robot sang with a lot of spirit, playing the accompanying music with it as well.
Rivera smiled gratefully... "Makie-san... would you blow off your half of the candles?" She indicated to the side of the cake with 13 candles.

"Happy birthday dear Makie..."Kira continued on.He felt a little bit better now with someone else there.In the middle of singing he handed Rivera a paper towel to cough into.

Kuro walked up to them with his wings around himself and smiled as he sang as well.Man...Poor Kira was on his own for a little bit...He thought.

Hikaru smiled as Rayna and company entered, waving at them from across the room. "Hey guys! How've you been? It's great to see you again!" She was having a really great time already - everyone here was so nice, and so many of her friends were showing up too! She couldn't wait for the big festivities to start!

Rivera gratefully accepted the paper tower from Kira and quickly excused herself, going to the bathroom. She turned the lights on dim and locked the door, then filled a paper cup with water, rinsed, and spat it out. The water was tinted with the distinct color and taste of blood. She shook her head and opened up a cabinet behind the mirror. Taking out a small glass vial, she unscrewed the cap and took a little sip. The liquid sent an icy chill throughout her entire system. It was so cold it burned, even to her, an entity related to ice and storm. Recovering with a few deep breaths, she swallowed again to get the left over drops in her mouth down, then closed the vial and placed it in her pocket. Rivera turned off the light and went back into the room. She might need the potion later.

Ai heard Makie call her name, but barely over the music and the people talking to each other, which also made it hard for Ai to wave through people to get to her brunette friend. Ai tightened her grip on the birthday present, it was actually something she made for all her friends, she just has to find all her close friends, it was a scrapbook from the first Day Ai came to Ria to about a week ago. This scrapbook that she had wrapped was pictures that only Ai and Makie were in. Pictures from the festival, from classes, from school breaks, whatever they were togther in!
".. Happy Birthday Makie.. " she said, but not loud enough as she smiled at the site of Makie smiling and having a great time, it felt like yesterday when Makie's only friend was Ai in Ria, now Makie was making friends almost everyday! Sometimes Ai was jealous that Makie can be with her friends almost everyday, Ai couldn't be with her friends almost everyday, mainly because of her ill health.
Ai walked over to the table where all the presents sat, some were small some were large, with a sigh she placed her present on the top of all the presents, with a tag saying To my dear friend, Makie. Ai smiled as she looked at the present, she knows Makie will love it, with that done she picked up her guitar and wrapped the strap around her shoulder so it wont fall down and walked over to Makie, but silently so she wouldn't hear Ai.
"BON ANNIVERSAIRE, MA AMIS!" she said in a french accent on purpose, actually she was immitating Oliver's voice as she went behind Makie and covered her eyes, hoping Makie would think it was Oliver's voice. Where was Oliver you ask? Well, he really wanted to come but he came down with the flu, so he's going to give Makie's present next time they meet.

Kira walked up to Rivera."Is everything alright?Coughing up blood is never good..."He muttered.I can't believe I actually let my vampirism take over for a few seconds...I still can't get the taste of my own blood out of my mouth...He thought and looked at where he had bit his wrist.

Rayna beamed, hugging Hikaru. "Hiko!" she said, smiling. "I've been pretty good, thank you." she said. Charlie just nodded at her as Kylie hugged Hikaru, also, agreeing with Rayna. "Yes, we've been just fine. And how about youself, Miss Hiko?" Kylie asked, pulling away.
Rayna, Kylie, and Charlie smiled as they joined the singing. Rayna had a really nice voice, but she didn't sing at all that loud, more like the regular volume she spoke at. Kylie sang quietly and Charlie sang in a loud voice- he wasn't great, but at least his voice didn't crack at all.
"Happy Birthday to youu...Happy Birthday to youuu...Happy birthday dear Makie and Riveraaaa....Happy birthday tooo youuuu!"
Kylie looked over to the one called 'Rivera' when she heard the coughing fit, a corncerned look stiking her face. Was she alright? She looked back to the cake, but she still glanced at Rivera, deeply concerned. To some, it would be silly of how much Kylie worried for her- but Kylie had her own reasons for worrying, and she really didn't want to think of it. It hurt a bit to think of the past- Rayna dwelled in it quite a bit, and Kylie was amazing at how strong Rayna was. What happened to her was five times as worse as what happened in Kylie's past, but it still hurt to think about it. So Kylie tried looking forward, instead of being consumed by the past.

Makie heard a familiar female voice over the music, it was Rayna. She smiled softly and turned around to meet her new friend. "H-Hi Rayna..!" Makie said softly, but happily. That's when she noticed the blond... Was this Kylie that Rayna told her about? Charlie's sister? That's when a brithday was given to her. She was surprised, and looked down at it for a couple of seconds. The wrapping paper was adorable! But, was this really for her? She didn't get presents too often, especially not with such cute wrapping paper! Makie looked back up at the mention of Kylie. She smiled softly, and waved back feebly. "T-Thank you... A-And nice to m-meet you." The brunette said taking a breath. She waved to Charlie too after seeing him nod and hearing him say 'Ditto'.
When every one started singing happy birthday, she stared down at her feet and blushed a light pink. It was actually kind of embarassing. Especially since there were a lot of people there. There were few that she actually knew though. So far she only knew Hikaru, Ai and Rivera... Sort of... Makie did meet Rivera at Ai's sleepover, but that's all. So I suppose they were more acquaintences, more than friends. Although, Makie considered Rivera to be a friend! Once you meet Makie, you're forever her friend! Even if you tried to kill her... Which is a sort of bad thought really.
Makie heard faint coughing sounds near the middle, but she couldn't see who was coughing through the many people in the room. Before she could find out who was coughing, it stopped, and the song was over. She blushed a darker shade of red before Rivera put her in a state of shock. "B-Blow o-out t-the candles o-on my s-side...?" She asked, surprised... Wow... Normally her cakes were smaller than her half... Which was surprising. I better make a good wish then... She thought to herself.
In a few moment she turned to Rivera, wanting to do it on the same time as her. "W-We'll b-blow them o-out a-at the same time.. O-Okay? O-On the count of three... O-One... Two.. Three..!" With that, and after making sure Rivera was ready she blew out her candles, making her wish inside her head. She nearly ran out of breath, but she managed to blow all them out in one breath... Although, she was panting slightly at the end... And then...
"Eep! O-O-Oliver!?" She exclaimed, her small voice barely chocking out the words. Oliver's here!? Oliver's here!? Oh no! I can't believe he's here! But I didn't see him when he came in with Ai... Makie thought confused, but excited and embarassed at the same time. But... Oliver's voice is... Different...
"I-Is it r-really O-Oliver...?" Makie said blushing, afraid to be wrong.

Rivera looked up, "Oh, it's nothing... I just can't breath properly here, so I can't speak or sing... only whisper..." She answered him. "Exerting my lungs hurt them a little..." She smiled lightly at him. "I'll be okay..." She turned to see Kai walk up to her.
"Your highness, you know you can't speak above water," He hissed quietly in her ear, placing his hands on her shoulder. "Are you sure you'll be fine? Do you have the potion? Did you take it already?" His blue dragon eyes were sharp with concern, his silver bangs lying over them in a messy fashion. He placed his hand over her throat gently and checked it.
Rivera hissed back. "I'm fine, I just took it... and what did I tell you about how you address me here? I'm a b*****d princess of a DEAD civilization."

Kira's extremely sensitive hearong picked up on each word and his brown eyes shrunk quickly.An Atlantean?He thought quietly.He walked up to Rivera quietly."So...Your highness..?"He whispered softly.

"I've been great!" Hikaru said cheerily, hugging Rayna and Kylie in turn and nodding to Charlie with a smile. "It's good to hear you're all doing well."
She looked around her a little, gesturing to all the stuff that Rivera had set up. "Pretty great party, huh? I have to wonder how she got such a huge dorm room arranged for all of this!"
Smiling, she walked over to the table where she'd set the candy earlier, grabbing a piece of bubblegum and a soda. She took a drink of the soda, popping the gum in her mouth and starting to chew. Walking back over to the others, she blew a bubble, arms behind her head.
"So, you guys wanna play video games or dance or somethin'?" she asked.

Rivera leant down and looked at the half a candle with a very strange look. Usagihana's work, no doubt. She knew that Usagi-chan knew that she didn't know how old she was. Her estimate came around 14-15, so here was 14 and a half candles for her supposed 14-15th birthday. Technically, she'd be over 1100 years old, but then again, that would be too many candles, and she spent a long period of that time in a stone coffin...
She smiled. Her wish was simple... she knew it would be granted already. Foresight told her. But she just wanted to make sure it could happen.
