Erzulie, Legba, Gede, & La Siren are Vodoun. Lilith & Lucifer are Lucifierian (obviously). I also have Goetic demons represented on my altar - like Bune. I am fairly eclectic, with dark taste in friends. twisted

I believe that everything you do (in life and magick) has consequences. There is always a price to pay, in one form or another, whether to work is toward healing or harming whatever. By that token, you must weigh every action based on whether you are able and willing to pay that price. If you take the 'harm none' to it logical conclusion it will drive you completely mad. Think of it like the butterfly effect. If a butterfly fluttering its wings halfway around the world could be the cause of the hurricane smashing into the Gulf coast right now - what could be the possible effects of me typing this message, of the fact I consumed meat of a wheat pizza tonight, the fact that a waitress dropped a pitcher of to my table because I had finished my glass . . . for that matter what are the potential effects of me breathing, leaving my house (ever), performing my job . . . it goes on and on. Also, the 'none harm' part is the only part that actually gets remembered or quoted but the Wiccan Rede contains a lot more than that one line. If you read the whole thing there are things that are ok to harm - certain tress at certain times for example. You must, however, pay the price. When you cut a limb you make a sacrifice of yourself to give back.

When you cut a limb you make a sacrifice of yourself to give back. ok that makes sense...& yea i don't follow the rede...it's too complicated & really to me only seems like a bunch of superstitions than a guideline of how to live. i personally believe in karma. which i guess you could say is similar to what u were just talking about.

But looking at it too long freaked me out. xD I kept thinking that the skull was watching me.... Yeah.... I'm just that cool. xD Can anyone tell me if it's okay to keep a bunch of rocks and seashells on your altar? When/if I ever get one set up, I can see myself being perfectly happy to have it loaded with both of them... Especially seashells... Just don't ask me why. xD

If you want tons of shells and rocks on it. BE ROCK AND SHELL HAPPY! The altar is to reflect you. It doesn't need to be uniformed like, let's say... some ( I said sSOME) wiccan's altar.

Our main altar has grown over years and years. It has also been taken down and completely redone a couple of times. There are pieces of jewelry on it that I sometimes take off it to wear for special occasions. Each item has a special meaning and a history.
