As the teacher handed her a signal flare, Xaki glanced at it for probably.. hlaf a second before putting it away.
Xaki had no clue how Dolpheal got under her hat, but not that it mattered. Did it?
Putting the candy back in her bag, she suggested to the small spheal after pausing to take the lollipop out of her mouth,
" You can eat yours later okay?". But then, as she was talking, the hat was snatched away, falling along with Dolpheal. That must of hurt! But Xaki's thoughts were distracted.
She blinked as the Dolpheal offered back her hat. " It's .. alright you know. " .. Xaki adjusted the hat, back on her head now grinning. She picked up the Dolpheal in her arms.
She petted the little pokemon. " You're too cute! You know that? Smart too. Good girl. " Xaki petted her some more after the outburst, rather glad she got this pokemon.
" I've got a special plan for this obstacle course. But you'll see when we meet our first obstacle okay? If you got any ideas, feel free to tell me."
" Do you want to stay in my hat, backpack, or just want me to hold you? It might be faster then you walking alongside me. " Xaki tried not to be too blunt, afraid of hurting the pokemon's feelings. Xaki also couldnt stand to put Dolpheal in a pokeball, not that she had one though IF she could.
" Oh.. The terrain changed? " .. " I didnt realize that. Not that it matters. " .. How could a person not feel the change? o_o;;

Miffer checked the stuff in her backpack, then nodded at Crystal calmly, seeing that now she would have no choice but to do this anyways- no use making a fuss out of it anymore.
"'Kay, then." She announced, glancing once at each of the other trainees. "I'm going in."
On that note, she walked forwards, and into the start of the tightly-packed woods. It only took a couple strides to dissapear in between the trees.
((I'll have stuff happen. x3 You can also make up obstacle-pokemon, but try not to make it too dangerous. surprised ;; The teachers wouldn't allow anything too risky. x3; ))

"Alright, Kala! Our turn." Ki looked back at Xaki, "come in after us. If you need help, I'll be in the middle. So, just holler. Hopefully you guys won't need to use your flare guns." The 'student-teacher' couldn't help it. She wanted to participate in these classes and such. After all, when she became a trainer, she didn't have a school to go to. Didn't need one either. Enelya and I did just fine.
After a moment, she headed into the forest. "Well, which way do you want to go?"
Kalautia paused on a branch, looking around. "Taillow!" She replied, before taking off to the left. The little bird wanted to check out this area. She had seen rustling and such coming from a bush about a meter or two away. "Tail, taillow." Kala hovered about the bush, looking down at it curiously.
Crystal followed Miffer just as calmly. "Gassstly. Gass, gasstly." She said, floating beside her make-shift trainer. The Ghost-pokemon stopped momentarily thinking she had heard a noise, but then realized it was the stupid bird with her trainer. Muttering about how birds were too loud, Crystal continued on next to Miffer, reading to act if and when anything appeared.
Dolpheal watched as the four of them left into the forest. Tilting her head, she looked up at Xaki. "Spheal?" She asked, indicating towards the forest. The seal pokemon wanted to go in too. At Xaki's question, the reddish-orange Spheal attempted to balance on her tail, indicating she wanted to be carried and not put in the backpack. "Spheal, spheal!" She said happily. The little pokemon knew she would slow her temporary trainer down, and if she was to grow stronger, she didn't want to do that.

Picking up Dopheal, Xaki couldnt believe how cute a pokemon could be! Miss Ki was very lucky.
"Ah! Wait for a minute. " Xaki put dopheal back down rummage though her backpack for a pad of paper and a pencil.
" I suppose since you're my partner, Ill let you in on my plan. "
Xaki took out a couple of lollipops, all shaped in a mudkip with the same color.
" See, if they come up to the food and happen to eat it, chances are they'll fall asleep. This is for taming pokemon if you dont have one to make it go to sleep. Though it's not definite. I only have a limited supply of 8 or so. " Xaki explained frowning..
Hoping Dolpheal understood what she said, Xaki picked up the small pokemon again with the pad and the paper.
" we can draw a map so we dont get lost, " Xaki offered.
She sauntered lazily to the entrance of the forest. " What way do you think is good, Dolpheal? "
(( Is it okay to have some materials or are we supposed to be completely unequipped? If we're not supposed to have anything I can edit this post. ))

The bush stilled awkwardly as Kala approached- and suddenly, as she hovered directly above it, a glittering yellow cloud of paralysing spores burst out from it in every direction, and a shy paras darted away into the forest.
"Ras!" It cried as it scuttled quickly past Miffer, who was a short way ahead of the others.
"It must have unleashed a Stun Spore attack... I hope the others are okay." She swallowed, hoping that she wouldn't be the target of any pokemon attacks. "Crystal, just to make sure... could you release very thin gas in a... let's say, thirty feet radius? I think that only the scent shall suffice in warding off weaker pokemon. As for the stronger ones, Hypnosis should do the trick, but that's for when the time comes." She led the way deeper, reminding herself to focus.

Kalautia gave an indignant squawk as the bush shot out some yellow spores. She knew that, too well. As quick as she could, she got out of the way before they reached her. Landing on her trainer's shoulder she complained loudly.
Ki just gave a chuckle. "I know, I know." She scratched at the birds small head. "You'll just have to be extra careful. Who knows what else is in here." Coming to a fork, Ki wondered if she should just go straight or take one of the other two roads. Now, do you want to choose? Or should we get someone with better direction sense out here?" Crystal was the best with directions, however she was with one of the students.
Kala took off towards the left road. She was going to do this alone with her trainer. And prove to Ki that she was quite capable in these kind of situations. "Taillow! Tail, taillow!"
"Alright, alright. You win." The trainer loved teasing her little bird. She had confidence in her. Ki was proud of the job she'd done raising all of her pokemon. with a smile, she followed the small bird.
Dolpheal listened intently before considering the question. It was faint, but she could tell that her trainer had gone straight. "Spheal." She pointed towards the right path.
"Gastly." She did as she was told, letting off a seemingly unscented gas around them. After all, it wouldn't do if her makeshift trainer fainted from the smell. "Gas, gastly." She went ahead and let out a bit more, just to be sure. She searched the area making sure there were no poison types, which would be immune to the smell.
