I'm none too great either, and didn't have much range. I think the highest note I ever hit was an A, at the top of the staff, and that's vocally sweatdrop

our first parts have High C all over the place...good thing im second...though we do have to play G at the top of the staff often...and I have no endurance...my highest note...
the D above high C...but when I had braces... eek eek eek I could play a double G...that's the one above High C!!! of course, the inside of my lips would bleed every time i did that, but I could do it...

YAY GO TRUMPETS!! *dances* lol! I love our trumpet section in marching band. Like during marching band camp we would sit there and have "circle time" where we sat and talked about stuff. It was interesting... they talked about like the years before and stuff. And all the trumpets in our section are just plain hilarious!! We can't make lines either! Anytime we make a perfect straight line everyone cheers for us. hehehe. xp

At BOAs, while we're waiting for our turn to come to start warming up for the competition, the trumpet section stands around in a circle with like our arms crossed or something like that and we call that hardcore...it's weird, but it's cool...
and then when we're not doing anything, we play Big Booty...it's kinda dumb, but it's fun for some reason...

oggywoggy222 Heh... I wish my music was that easy... xp One of the songs we're playing has about a half-dozen high B flats (above teh staff!) Our Marching Show this year is very high! Well for the firsts anyway lol we have lots of A's B's and C's above the staff this year and all three of us*the firsts* have greatly improved our rang since last year...last year i think the highest note was an A flat...that A flat was the only on and it was played by a soloist so not even all the firsts played it last year...if memory serves correctly other than that the highest note was a G.

Nekoyasha_Skiiy ya, like i said, I had Double G when i had braces, and when I got them off, I dropped all the way down to almost being able to play a High C... really? I was the opposite. I had no range when I got my braces (mostly b/c every time they tightened them, my playing went to s**t! scream stare ) and when I got them off, I could play pretty decently.... of course, by then, my director put me on F Horn... *rolls eyes*

The only problem I had was, after practice, I'd have to peel my lip off of the braces... ninja
