Preening - No. Really. This is Fizzby’s favorite thing to do. Any reflective surface, whether it be a particularly shiny crystal or water or a mirror will be his new favorite spot for the next few hours as he meticulously goes over his appearance, making sure everything is perfect, from the fluff of his body to the shape of his eyebrows to the curl of his antennae and the shape of his wings. A part of it is simply that he’s pretty meticulous, but most of it is that he enjoys admiring himself. What’s not to love about being him, after all? Have you seen him? That glorious pink and yellow body, the delicately poised antennae, the luster of his exoskeleton? He loves every inch of himself and isn’t afraid to take the time to appreciate it.

Pestering People - Fizzby’s favorite thing to do besides admire himself is to try and get other people to admire him, and he will follow officers around trying to get their attention specifically for this purpose. Whether or not his presence is actually wanted doesn’t particularly matter, and though he can be sent running with enough of a threat or a lashing out, he’ll simply find someone else to pester or find his way back to the person who just ran him off. It’s almost a game to him, to see just how much he can get someone to focus on him rather than whatever else they’re doing.

Virtues:

Cheerful - Fizzby is a generally a very happy youma. He loves himself, he loves what he is, and he doesn’t let things bother him much. He’s quick to smile, quick to be excited, quick to find joy in whatever he’s doing. He’s very difficult to upset or bring down, and will generally snap back to his default state rapidly even once he has been upset. There’s so much to be happy about and to celebrate, himself not the least among them. Why linger on things that will only waste your time when you can enjoy the better things in life?

Determined - As a rule, Fizzby does not give up easily. Once he gets an idea into his head, or if he’s given an order to fulfill, he’ll do whatever he can to reach that goal. This is, admittedly, mostly because he focuses on what might be a reward for him afterward, but nonetheless it gives him a certain resistance to failure. What doesn’t work the first time might work the second, or the third, or the fourth or seventh or sixteenth. In short, he doesn’t see giving up as an option, and will keep trying until he achieves what he’s set out to do, no matter how long it might take him.

Affectionate - Anyone who is actually tolerant of his tendency toward pestering, or who agrees that he is all of the things he believes himself to be - or if they just catch his attention enough times - will quickly find themselves with a very affectionate youma. He thrives off of attention, after all, and as a result he’s free with affection because being nice to the people that are nice to him tends to pay off for everyone. He’s free with hugs and will attempt to help the people he likes look their best (so long as they don’t outshine him), provide little gifts if they’re something he doesn’t already want, and generally prone to doting on those that show him the most patience and genuine affection in whatever form comes to his mind at the moment.

Flaws:

Self-Absorbed - As is probably obvious by now, Fizzby is a very vain, shallow creature. He thrives off of admiration, thinks he’s the most beautiful thing in the world, and will do anything to feed his own ego. He’s great, he’s amazing, he’s beautiful and smart and sexy and anyone would be lucky to get to look upon him and be in his company. And in his mind, he’s absolutely convinced that’s the view everyone else has of him, too. Any sign of dislike or aggravation can be explained away, any attempts to shoo him off or do anything other than admire him don’t register to him as anything but a particularly unique way of showing him affection. Even when he’s doing a task at someone else’s behest, he can and will interpret it as them simply wanting to see his skill in action. And who is he to begrudge them that most wonderful opportunity?

Annoying - Given his self-absorbed, cheerful, determined nature and his tendency to follow people around and try to get them to admire him, is it any wonder that Fizzby comes across as extremely aggravating? He’s a nuisance, a pest, and the sort of pest that does not stop. And perhaps the most frustrating aspect of it all is that he doesn’t even register just how annoying he can be - or if he does, he doesn’t care, because he’s charming and amazing and everyone loves him anyway, right? He will bother and pester and completely ignore any and all signs he’s unwanted or being aggravating, cheerfully pushing past boundaries and making a complete nuisance of himself. Woe to those who catch his eye, because once he’s noticed someone, good luck shaking him off.

Possessive - Once Fizzby likes you, you’re his, and he doesn’t give up things that he sees as his. This does include people, and if he thinks anyone is going to take someone or something away from him, he will get fussy and irritated, clinging all the tighter to what he thinks is threatened. He doesn’t take kindly to any sort of attention being lost, and since he equates losing those he’s attached to, even temporarily, to losing their attention, he ends up getting clingy and possessive. And woe betide anyone who seems to be leading someone’s attention away from him, for there will be much angry squeaking, and probably glitter in your face.

Physical Ability: Wings - while he cannot truly fly, due to being too heavy for his wings to lift him easily he can use his wings to glide over distances. This glide can be held for up to one minute if it’s in a perfectly straight line, but grows progressively shorter the more adjustments he needs to make for direction. And if, for some reason, he starts to flap his wings - say to use his magic attack - he will fall then and there.

Magical Ability: Glitterdust - when threatened or provoked, Fizzby can flutter his wings rapidly and release a bright pink-and-gold glittery substance that irritates the eyes and throat if it’s breathed in, causing temporary vision trouble, eye pain and watery eyes not unlike a magical pepper spray. The effects last for around thirty seconds, after which it all fades away.

Hobbies:
  • People Watching - Kaz loves to watch, ie stalk, people and keep an eye on what they're doing. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knows he was one of them once but doesn't understand how or why. What he does know is that how people act fascinates him. When he isn't hunting down energy for himself or his officers he loves to just perch somewhere and see what is going on. He keeps a small notebook where he writes down what he sees that interests him keeping a log of dates, times, and what was happening. He tries to remember to ask about the interactions but often forgets.

  • Tinkering - Kaz has a love for playing with anything he can take apart and put back together. Making small robots and clockwork toys was a hobby he had previously and one of the few things that carried over after his youmification. He doesn't quite understand the items like he used to but enjoys making little wind-up toys with bits and pieces he finds or is given.

  • Nesting - Partially a hobby and partially a habit. Kaz likes to be comfortable when he's not 'working' so he's spent quite a bit of time creating a perfect 'nest' in Uvarovite's lab. He collects bits of fabric, blankets, scraps of clothing, whatever he can find around the Rift and the Castle and adds it to his nest. It's the perfect place to rest after a busy day while keeping an eye on his humans. He also has next out in the Rift for when he needs a heavier recharge. It is tucked into a rock formation and filled with the same soft fabric scraps he prefers.


Virtues:
  • "Whatever You Need" Loyal -- Kaz can be choosey about who he wants to follow but once he has decided the people who deserve his trust he gives himself to them completely. He will stick up for them, defend them, and always choose their side no matter what else happens. You may be wrong but Kaz will still be by your side when everyone else has left. He is fierce in his defense of those he feels connected to despite his unimposing form and doesn't waver no matter what is put in front of him.

  • "Mind Like a Trap" Quick Thinker -- Because Kaz likes to be able to anticipate what those around him want he has learned to pick up on subtle things so he can make decisions faster. His mind works at an incredible speed so even though he can't read minds it often seems like he can given how fast he can react to things or come up with an answer or solution to a problem. Those around him usually appreciate the ability which can save them from getting stuck on a problem.


Flaws:
  • "I Am Nothing" Dependent -- Due to the nature of Kaz's youmification and the emotional stress he was put under he feels attached to Uvarovite and feels as if he needs to do whatever he can to please the Officer and those around him. Without their praise and their orders Kaz feels like he is drifting and lost and tends to shut down completely until someone he trusts coaxes him out of it. He doesn't understand why but he needs Uvarovite to tell him that he is doing good.

  • "Yes Sir"Obedience -- While obeying commands is usually a good thing Kaz takes this to the extreme. He will do whatever Uvarovite asks of him without question and without hesitation. It doens't matter if the orders might be of questionable nature. If it's something the General wants Kaz will do it including things that Kaz thinks the General might want him to do which leads him to often do impulsive things because he knows it will please Uvarovite or Tourmaline. Kaz will also do his best to ignore any other commands if goes against something his officers told him to do.









Interesting Notes:
  • "Who Am I?" - Kaz, while only having become a youma recently, does not remember much at all about his former life as a Lieutenant. The ordeal he went through under the 'supervision' of Uvarovite which resulted in his youmification wiped his mind of almost everything but his need to please Uvarovite and do as he is asked. He knows he was a Negaverse officer but only because Uvarovite has told him so and because of Uvarovite's hold on his emotions believes he is better off this way than the weak officer he was.

  • Well Kept Secret - The experiments Uvarovite was preforming and Kaz's youmification process were hidden from everyone. Kaz was not an officer long and was taken under Uvarovite's wing directly after his corruption. Officially Kazakovite was working under Uvarovite on his research and helping him in his lab. One too many starseeds snuck as snacks and his frequent trips to the Rift resulted in his accidental youmification. Only Uvarovite knows what actually happened to the former Lieutenant.


Officer: Works under Uvarovite (will obey Tourmaline as if she is Uvarovite as well though his orders override hers)

Abilities:
    Wing Guard: - For a short span of time, 15 seconds, Kaz can will the feathers on his body to become hard a steel. This allows him the chance to block an attack or withstand heavier physical damage than he would normally be able to take on his otherwise frail body.

    Razor Wing - Kaz crosses his arms in front of himself and the feathers along his arms start to glow a deep red. With a flick of his arms two feathers per arm (four in total) fly out toward his opponent. The feathers are razor sharp, two feet in length, and able to cut through fabric and flesh if they make contact. Feathers can travel a max of 15 feet from Kaz before fading. Can be used twice per battle.

If it fits, I sits. At one point in a distant part of his life this might have been something akin to yoga-- finding a comfortable position, no matter how uncomfortable it might appear visibly to others, and tapping in to a moment of zen. Perhaps it's part of why Macsen, whoever he was before, took on a more feline appearance as a youma. Perhaps it's just coincidence. No matter the reason, finding places to perch in one pose or another is something that Macsen enjoys greatly.

Soothes the beast... Macsen enjoys listening to music. If given a moment of his own time he can sometimes be found lurking outside of venues in the art district, hoping to catch a glimpse of something from the buildings within. Macsen has been known to return to the Rift with music playing devices that he's liberated during ventures topside-- mp3 players, an old walkman.... Anything to connect him to the sounds of music.

Virtues:

Stoic - No matter the circumstances, Macsen maintains his composure, ready and willing to endure without voicing complaint. This trait, once something that made him solid as a rock, supportive and dedicated in his previous life, has made him the ideal youma for accompanying an impulsive officer.

Protective - At some point in his life before Macsen might have had a family, or someone he was close to-- someone he considered important enough to keep safe. Now it isn't just being commanded to do so that keeps him true to looking out for those under his care that keeps him on task, it's the strong feeling that doing so is right because it's what he's always done.

Flaws:

Aloof - Macsen is entirely uninterested in most things, sometimes to the point of expressing distaste in the form of narrowed eyes and other disgruntled looks. This cool, distant demeanor may be a nod to his stone-like appearance, or it could simply be a way that the man he once was kept himself safe.

Self-Justifying - The ends justify the means. Whatever he has to do to justify his actions he will, especially providing doing so nets results that fall in line with the orders he's been given. Nothing is off limits. Nothing.

Appearance: Bulky, muscular; a looming, protective presence. Think a wingless gargoyle with feline attributes (Ref). Coat coloration is that of a silver tabby, more black than silver with the occasional teal/blue highlight. A spattering of crystals have grown here and there, creating a look almost like a pauldron in appearance (Ref)

Youma Ability #1: Vanish Point - While in a resting position/lying still, Macsen is able to render themselves invisible. If they move slowly while invisible it is possible to see their outline or notice the 'distortion' of the background behind them, as though being viewed through a water droplet on a window. Any quick or sudden movement, such as attacking or running, will break the invisibility. Can only be used once per encounter.

Youma Ability #2: Stone Skin - The crystals embedded in Macsen's skin begin to glow and during that time he seems impervious to harm in that magic attacks aren't as effective and physical blows seem to require twice the effort to make a dent. Can only be used once per encounter. Duration 30 seconds.


Macsen does not have a backstory. He does not remember anything about the life he lead before. He is a youma, completely dedicated to the darkness and currently expressing such in service to General Tourmaline.

Eating -
Thought he does not need to for sustenance, as he exists primarily on energy and starseeds, Novus really enjoys eating. He is fascinated by things that have flavors, and does not really care about what those flavors might be. From human flesh, which is among his favorite and the easiest to obtain when he is allowed to hunt, to a pile of garbage someone was too lazy to get all the way to a trash can, Novus will eat anything just to experience the strange sensations being able to taste things provides. He has no real concept of what is 'good' or 'bad', though he will not eat something again if it makes him sick or hurts him in the process of its consumption, like it's too hot.

Roaring -
Not the brightest crayon in the tool shed, another simple pleasure that occupies Novus' free time is roaring. Especially fun in places where he can hear his own voice roaring back at him, Novus likes to practice his roar like some people practice singing. It is no where near as melodious as even a bad singer, of course, but the sounds please him and, as far as he is aware, he is the only one that makes them just like that. So the only way he could hear them is to have them echoing back at him, which only adds to the pleasure of the whole thing. In a way, it makes him feel less lonely. Plus, no one will throw a shoe at a giant dinosaur monster if it's roaring too late at night.

Fighting -
Being able to get his blood pumping is a fun activity for Novus, and one of the things he does the most. He picks fights with other youma, or with the White Moon. Anyone that angers or hurts him, though, is liable to get a good few claw swings out of him, even if they're on Chaos' side. He can be quick to violence, but to him it is not a negative thing: it's really all he knows how to do, and he is pretty sure, as far as his limited brain capacity allows him to understand it, it makes him happy. So why not just let loose and enjoy the adrenaline a good fight can provide?

Virtues:

Scary Face -
Since his one job is to be a big bad monster for the Negaverse, he is actually really good at it. He loves hunting and attacking all things White Moon, and will not hold back, which makes him the perfect pet for a Negaverse soldier. He loves praise, of course, so that is a strong motivator for his determination to be the best youma to ever youma, but he also lives a very simple life due to his limited thought capacity. Fight white moon good. Eat startseeds good. Get hurt or yelled at bad. He figures he might as well be really good at the one thing he was created to do.

Bide -
Novus has nothing better to do in his day than his job, and because of this he has profound amounts of patience. He will stay in one place for days if he has to, in the hopes of getting a clean, clear shot at his chosen prey. He stalks and hunts through the shadows, and is never in a rush when he sees he could be outnumbered or overpowered. As a hunter, he knows to strike when the opportunity is its best.He will use the environment around him to aid him and has no problem using weaker beings as traps or incentives to lure the stronger ones to him. And he knows how to open doors, to boot.

Flaws:

Thick Headed -
If there is one thing Novus is not, it is smart. Some say, because he is a dinosaur type youma, he has a brain the size of a walnut. It is not yet proven one way or the other, but clues heavily indicate that there is not a lot going on in that brain, regardless of size. While he is an apex predator, able to hunt and survive with the best of them, he is not the best at... well... anything else. His entire skill base stems from survival instincts, and he is most definitely more animal than whatever he used to be before being consumed by Chaos.

Lonely -
Privately, Novus misses whatever it was he used to be. He can't remember, but there's an emptiness inside him that aches when he spends too much time alone. It can't be blamed on being lost in thought, exactly, but there is a stirring in his very bones that urges him to find... someone. Anyone. Anything to just not be alone. It fuels his desire for praise, and his need to be the best youma, the best pet, the best hunter. He hates being alone, and even when he is not needed to fight, not hunting or anything else, he will sometimes risk going into the city to just be near to the bustling people.

Abilities:

Tail Whip -
Novus is a big, bulky dinosaur of a beast, but he has a very deft tail. He is particularly good with this appendage, to the point where he favors it over his claws sometimes. Attacking with a powerful tail whip can catch his prey off guard, and do enough stunning damage to render them incapacitated or momentarily vulnerable. Long enough for him to leap. He likes to make sure the Negaverse sees him using his tail, particularly proud of it and, again, looking for that praise.

Poison Claw -
Novus' claws have a kind of poison in them that can cause sudden, but temporary numbing of the area he swipes. If he connects, that area will go numb and remain that way until the poison, topical as it is, breaks down (blood will do this) or is washed away. In this way, glancing blows can be more dangerous, giving heavier doses of the poison without blood to break it down. As long as the venom itself remains on the skin, the numbing sensation lingers, but once it is washed away full function will be restored.

Ravenna, Youma

Hobbies:
Knowledge Seeking: Ravenna is no fool, nor is she so feral that she's incapable of thoughtful conversation. The Captian she was once bonded to, before he earned his promotion, had attempted to teach her how to play chess and even how to read simple books. She can identify the letters of the alphabet and numbers but skills such as math or advanced reading are beyond her understanding. That said, one secret desire she still holds on to is that she wishes to find someone to read stories to her again, but her distrusting nature makes this highly unlikely.

Mimikry: When she learned to use her glamor, the world was a fascinating place. But it was quickly realized that humans' kindness is not given freely and at times they are worse than the stronger youma in the Rift. Still, she tries to emulate their speech, how they walk, mannerisms to be replicated so she can pass as one of them. There is still so much she doesn't know that conversation is more difficult because she isn't familiar with technology or current world issues outside of her 'hunting ground' and so she often pretends to be mute if only to be left alone.

Magical treasures: Small hint offered towards anyone who wants to try and gain her trust, trinkets with magical properties are a good way to pique her interest and or curiosities. She has two nests in the Rift and one just outside Destiny City that have some small treasures. Only very few hold a sentimental value to her but the rest lose their worth after the magic is spent. OOCly this just means she is tempted by and collects IC-RP items, mementos are rarely kept.

Virtues:
Independent: Ravenna doesn't have a pack mentality and does not need anyone in order to survive. She does what she deems necessary to live another day but to her asking for help is a sign of weakness and she doesn't want anyone to have that perception of her. Freedom is what she desires most even if it is a lonely path to tread upon.

Observant: Living in the Rift where there is danger everywhere has taught Ravenna how to be mindful of her surroundings and to have a high environmental awareness of what is going on around her. She had to adapt to being fleetfooted, flighty if the situation calls for it, and quick thinking. However, outside the Rift is unfamiliar territory; Destiny City is not her normal terrain and so she utilizes her glamour when possible to familiarize herself with an area before using it as a hunting ground for satisfying her hunger for energy. In terms of conversations, she picks up on tone and body language rather quickly to determine intent or motive and will react accordingly.

Flaws:

Distrustful: Over the decades, if not significantly longer, she has been dusted enough times and sent back to the Rift that she has visceral hate for anyone affiliated with Order or may sympathize with them. Additionally, this seething anger extends to corrupts, no exception, and anyone who has the power or intent to force her to do something against her will. Once, for a short while, she had been bonded to an agent and while he taught her many things, when he earned his promotion he became cowardly and would send her to fight while he stood idly by or ran away. He eventually died due to his own cowardice but because of him, she would rather flee than give someone the opportunity to hold power over her or kill her if it can be evaded.

Volitile: Do something to earn her ire and that poor decision-making will be met with swift punishment. It is supremely unwise to intentionally disrespect, make demands that force her into submission, betray or harm her in any way. It is a fantastic way to become her next intended prey depending on the severity of the perceived transgression. Keep in mind, she is not human and miscommunication can trigger this behavior. Even if her perception was wrong, that does not mean she will show any measure of remorse or regret for lashing out. Fair warning, don't touch her feathers without permission otherwise, she will go for the throat.

Outfit: Fantasy, elf inspired

Physical Appearance: In essence a harpy-youma. Ravenna's appearance maintains the typical half-human and half-bird aesthetic. This is not to be confused with a half-youma as she does not adhere to the rules of wearing a military-style uniform.

Body: While maintaining the face, torso arms and upper legs of a human, Ravenna has pointed ears, bony hands with claws instead of nails, and lower legs of a raptor-like bird of prey with sharp dagger-like talons.
Eyes: Pupiless lime-green eyes with purple seclara and acid-green glowing marks on each cheek.
Extra: Lastly, she supports fully functional gradient green wings and tail feathers that allow for flight.

Youma Type: Humanoid

Abilities:

Ability 1 : Physical Attributes: Harpy
Ravenna's has fully functional wings that allow her to fly silently while carrying up to 60 lbs (half her own weight) unincumbered. Between 60 and 125 pounds, she can hover with some difficulty the closer it is to her weight but cannot ascend any higher. Her weight up to 180 pounds more would result in a steady slow fall if she felt inclined to help someone. Anything more than 180 is a dead drop to the ground. While her wings can be damaged they won't break easily. Additionally, she has sharp claws on both her hands and dagger-like talons on her bird-like feet used for attacking and defending delivering slashing or piercing damage.

Ability 2 :
Lifting her hands, Ravenna snaps both shut and in doing so summons up to 6 shadowy feathers, one between each finger, that emit a soft greenish or purple glow and last for 20 seconds. At this time she is able to throw these dart-like projectiles at an enemy or the surrounding area up to 15' away with decent accuracy (anything more would have higher chances at missing) and recall them back to herself in a straight line to be thrown again. There are no status effects associated with the sickly corrupted hue, rather being nicked or pierced by one will have the associated sensation of being cut or stabbed. Physically this may leave a paper-cut injury or worse at players' discretion. Ravenna can use this attack 3 times.

  • Nicknames: Reem, please, if you really must call her by her name; she's happy to take on nicknames, however!

  • Hobbies:
    Painting/Photos - Well, as well as one can with her lengthy limbs and sharp claws. Reem likes to dabble with watercolors to pass the time, usually going for landscapes or abstract concepts rather than individuals. Something about the zen-like concentration it takes soothes her, whatever her amateur skill presents. When she gets too frustrated with her artwork, however, taking photos is a close second.

    Smoke Manipulation - Reem has had time to learn fine manipulation of her own smoke, and she has learned to perform not only the usual tricks, but can even do something akin to shadow puppetry for entertainment purposes. Won't you let her put on a show for you?

    Hunting - One has to keep their claws sharp, after all! Whether it's stalking a civilian for fun (or out of loneliness) or killing under command, Reem likes to make sure she's a capable fighter. Being active also helps her clear her mind--well as much as one can, anyway.

  • Virtues:
    Loving - Not even conversion can stop a mother's love, even long after she's forgotten the name of it. The instinct has remained for her to reach out and take care of those who would have her. She adopts people, sometimes unbeknownst to them, and tries to tend to them as any good mother would, with the hope that they are taking care of themselves when they go out into the world. Other (half) youma, corrupts, and similarly underdog types tend to draw her in, as they are generally seen as lesser than a Negaverse agent, and she is least among them all. She will forgive you of your mistakes and give advice on how to avoid those mistakes again. She will try to find your favorite food on the rare hours she can go topside. Please come visit and eat!!

    Protective - In tandem with her tender loving care is the protection given to such individuals. Reem is neither a coward nor a fighter, but she would be damned to see those under her wing be hurt; and besides, she'll be able to come back from being dusted, while most others can't, so why not take advantage of that? It's one of the few berserk buttons an enemy can hit, for better or for worse.

    Curious - Reem likes to know things. Barring that, she wants to be in the know. There's less care for her health given that she's pretty resilient, so why not taste that strange green liquid? Why not dab one of her fingers in that funny looking concoction? It also manifests in personal questions, usually without a pause in between them. Learning things makes her feel more comfortable, as if knowledge alone can protect her from the unknown.

  • Flaws:

    Saudade - "A deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves." Reem has no memories, and so she clings to the ones she makes - whether the people involved want her or not. There is a hole in her that no starseed can fill, and the pain of that cavity can drive her temperament from one side of the emotional spectrum to the other. One day she is mired in a sorrow she can't name, unable to leave the rift; the next she might be fiercely angry at this biting edge inside and lash out at a civilian who seems to have a better life, or even a friend. In short: she's dangerously clingy, in more ways than one.

    Paranoia - Towards the end of her previous life, Tara Hitchcock had become victim to one of the most painful side effects of cancer treatment and medicine: paranoia that tainted her outlook on life and strained an already frayed relationship with her son. Now as Reem, it still resides in her head as an insidious other voice that acts as a reverb to her most negative thoughts. She takes personal criticisms hard and can grow defensive over even slight insults, and so at times she can be hypervigilant (for herself or on behalf of others). Most of all she fears being betrayed, which can clash with her otherwise heartfelt need to be with other people.

    Simplistic - While her background is complex, Reem herself is rather one-dimensional when it comes to wants and needs. If it's not a whim or instinct, it's a shallow reasoning: she's hungry, so she's going to bite that girl's head off. That senshi needs to die because it called her ugly. She's almost got a child's understanding of the world, which tends to make it worse for everyone else since she's armed to the teeth.

  • Youma ability #1: Hollow Body (physical)
    Reem's body is almost rubbery with how stretched out it is, but in spite of her lengthy limbs she's not clumsy. On the contrary, the youma is quite flexible to the point that one wonders if she actually has bones; whatever material she's made of certainly has shock resistance, allowing even fall damage to be shrugged off. She's light-weight and is naturally fast in battle, but it also means any ability that hits her can usually send her tumbling in turn. Her wings are not flight capable and are used instead to turn leaps into glides and otherwise make sharper turns in mid-air.

  • Youma ability #2: Stygian Smoke (magical)
    Reem natural exudes a smoke-like substance, but with an effort of will she can cover an area of up to 15ft for up to 45 seconds, twice per battle. The affected area is effectively in both magical darkness (which targets can only see 1ft ahead through) and carries the hazards of smoke inhalation if stayed in too long. Magical lights do not penetrate the smoke past 3ft, but a magical wind can disperse it.

Flaws:

Naive: Judith is naive, especially in the world. She was lucky to be able to join Crystal academy her senior year after being home schooled, but finds that the real world is very different and changing. She wants to believe the best in everyone, so she tries to listen to all sides of truth.

Frustrated: Jude can be easily frustrated, especially by things she knows and by being held back. After experiencing life outside of her home life, She finds that she doesn't think what her mother taught her, was really what she wanted to be taught.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Nymph’s Paradise

Meiden calls her attack, raising her hand to the sky, before touching her lips and then points to the ground. From there it seems like a drop of water drops down. Everyone within a ten foot circular radius is drawn into an illusion. A soft song plays and they're drawn into a dance, seemingly dancing with a watery woman. They can't break from the illusion unless they are pulled out by someone else or attacked. Meiden can use this attack once. Meiden is free to move around after the illusion is cast, but she cannot attack others as this would break the illusion. The illusion last for a full minute, if they are not attacked or pulled out.

Ghost Hunting - Seb has always been into the supernatural but has a particular love for ghosts. He’s got personal stories about encounters going all the way back to his childhood. He’s spent way too much allowance money on equipment to hunt them down. Bonus to this is he runs a youtube channel dedicated to ghost hunting and the occult. Most of his spare time is spent researching or going out to local haunted spots.

Monster Movies - If there is a movie out there about a monster you can guarantee Sebastian’s seen it. No matter how bad the movie is Seb’s watched it and can probably tell you more about it than you want to know about it too. The movies spill over into horror films occasionally too, better if they’re terrible, but he still prefers the monster movies over them any day.

Writing - Contrary to popular belief Seb does not run a blog but he does like writing short stories. HE’s had a few featured in young writer anthologies and wants to make a career out of it one day. He enjoys the creative process and being able to share stories with other people. One day he might even get lucky enough to write the next big monster movie screen play too.

Virtues:
Eye of the Storm Calm - Sebastian’s family is pretty damn loud and as he grew up he developed a distaste for that sort of thing. It embarassed him when they made fusses over things or got everyone's attention just by existing. He is always calm, even when it seems like an odd reaction. It takes an act of god to make Sebastian lose his cool so he’s usually the voice of reason among his friends.

Never Give You Up Loyal - Once seb has decided you’re worth being friends with it’s very hard to make him change his mind. He sticks by his friends and will go down in flames with them if he has to. Nothing is worse than flakey friends as far as he’s concerned. And god forbid if you do anything to hurt or bother any of his friends either.

I See What You Did There Insightful -Because of his movie watching habit Sebastian has become very good at picking up on little details. He is usually the first one to spot something or the one who spots something no one else sees. It makes him quick on the uptake and hard to get anything past unless you’re extremely clever. Then he might just grill you about how you did it instead.

Flaws:
AD-What now? Scatterbrained - Seb has ADD and is almost incapable of focusing on anything that doesn’t actually interest him. Not without medication at least. He tends to be all over the place so getting him to focus and do what you want can be a challenge. Heaven forbid you want him to do something boring. If he remembers you asked him to do something it’s days after the fact. Then he’d scrambling to do it so he dosen’t look like an idiot.

The More You Know Know-it-All - Seb is smart but he also always has to be right. He can’t let someone say something incorrect near him without correcting them. It doesn’t matter how trivial or if it’s even hsi business. He’s going to stick his nose in and tell you what he thinks you should know. It’s for your own good after all.

Caring Hurts Distant - He loves his friends dearly but despite that it’s hard to actually be friends with Seb sometimes. He’s usually rather shut off emotionally and tends to come off like he doesn’t really care. He might see a message from you and not respond for days cause he keeps forgetting. The whole ‘emotional attachment’ thing is lost on him where people are concerned.

[ For a brief moment Sailor Lumen appears to be in a trance-like state. Upon 'snapping to', Lumen flings his hands outward releasing a vaporous form that begins to solidify as it takes on the shape of Lumen.

Once summoned this construct may be commanded by Sailor Lumen for one round in which it may either absorb the damage of an enemie's attack, which will cause it to collapse instantly after, or attack the enemy in place of Lumen as a diversion (up to 30 seconds).
By the start of the third post the constructs collapse in on themselves, leaving slippery, faintly glowing residue behind on the ground for the rest of the battle (no longer than 3-4 posts).]

Reading/Audiobooks - While not to the level of a true bookworm, Stormy likes to engage in fantasy/sci-fi stories, whether it's while sitting at her desk waiting for class to start or on the drive home. This tends to happen instead of socializing with others, like in the class example, though she's also used it as an excuse to eavesdrop on conversations around her. Her interest also extends to fanfiction & certain manga (to some extent).

Piano - Stormy has been playing since she was five, and it shows. She may have small hands, but not even Rachmaninoff's scale-spanning chords can stop her. When not practicing what her teacher assigns, she likes to try and recreate popular songs on the radio or music she's heard in other media. Learning that and then remixing it her own way is in and of itself a pastime.

Disneyphile - Dear God, she loves Disney. The movies, the merchandise, the discourse and critiques and analyses: if it's about The Happiest Place on Earth, she probably knows it and then some. If she doesn't have the media on dvd, she's probably got it torrented onto her laptop.

Virtues:
Creative - In her world, harsh storms are simply letting out the tears and anger of others, people are fated to meet for one reason or another, objects can carry emotional depth and memories, words have real power over people based on the contours of the letters and the sounds that comprise them, and so on. She understands her beliefs are bizarre and knows none of them are real; she chooses to believe them anyway because it adds color to the world and makes it even more beautiful and interesting to her. Stormy's daydreaming leads to a rich imagination, so she's not one who makes boring conversation. She knows it paints her as offputting and an oddball to some people, but she's already long embraced her ability to spin a tale out of nothing; heck, she's going to college for it.

Obedient/Peacemaker - Stormy's no rebel. For the most part she's more than happy to get a task and complete it to the best of her ability, no complaints. As her inner mind is often chaotic, she likes to have her outside world have a sense of order and logic to balance things out. If something is amiss, she'll quietly try and get it fixed so that no-one notices. As she herself may not be the most stable and dependable person at times, she craves the safety in rules and adheres to them.

Compassionate - Oh, how she cares. Her heart bruises as easily as a pear, but she can't help herself. Why would she? What would the world be like to her if she didn't care? Her empathy leaks out to strangers and friends alike, allowing Stormy to see all sides of the story and understand others more easily than some might. It can become a problem whenever this emotional connection becomes too much to bear, however, but on the positive side, you can be sure that Stormy is sympathetic to even the smallest of causes.

Flaws:
Mercurial - Ah, the Pisces problem: emotions. Stormy's moods are usually fine, but when she gets down (and she does, quite often, if not in public), it tends to sour her mojo in general. She's prone to being indecisive on top of that, which exacerbates her vague grasp of her own emotions even more. While having a form of depression itself is not a flaw, the way she handles it (that is to say, tends to be ruled by those fluctuations in mood and barely seeks help for it) definitely is. It doesn't help that she can be sensitive even on her best days.

Deeply Introverted - You'll never really know what she's thinking, even as her best friend, even as a lover. She hates so much to be in the spotlight that she refuses to acknowledge her own existence and meaningfulness. Stormy's quite good at putting on a smile in public and seeming to be quite social for an introvert, but it just makes the recharges in between all the rougher. Bottling up her emotions is way easier than dealing with all that nonsense. Even how she talks to others is in an indirect fashion, as she's easily intimidated. She'd rather feed her escapist tendency than confront something head on.

Low Self Esteem - There's no confidence in Stormy to speak of. She's more than happy to keep her head down and do what she's told. Responsibility, independence, anything requiring her to rely on herself is mitigated or avoided entirely whenever she can. She's quick to blame herself for the smallest things and apologize even if she's not involved. It's the double edged sword of her compassion and need to find the status quo resolved. There's always someone to blame, and if it's a complex problem, it has to be her, right?

Hair: Soft pink and curly, turning a little white towards the ends; when down, it stops above her shoulders, but she likes to wear it up, usually in a loose chignon; there tend to be accessories added, like a flower or a music note pin

Clothes: Free-flowing, loose, and layered are key components to her wardrobe. She's hyperconscious of bare skin and wears even a light shawl or something like it in the summer, though legs can get something of a pass. Mori-kei fashion is a good reference. Laments can also be expressed in a verbal manner, where the participant would lament about something they regret or someone they've lost, usually accompanied by wailing, moaning and/or crying. Laments constitute some of the oldest forms of writing and examples are present across human cultures.

Sailor Scout Attack: Keening Arrow
Loreley mimics drawing an invisible bowstring, and an arrow of pure energy appears where a normal one would be. If an opponent is struck, the affect area grows colder and numb, and a particular event begins to play in their head: this memory comes from something tragic or that caused them grief, meant to distract them from the immediate fight. The more recent or emotionally damaging, the more likely the attack will maintain its effect, differences in power notwithstanding. Anyone at a higher stage can easily shake off the strike, if not outright avoid it.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Chorus of the Lost
Loreley raises her arms and welcomes an unseen audience to join her in lamentation. In a 15ft radius centered on either herself or a nearby object, a seething mass of blurred figures begin to wail and cry, blocking the vision of those within unless they try to pass through them; these figures are illusory and offer no true resistance (much like wading in the shallow end of a pool) but seem very real to the eyes and ears. The pure grief expressed causes those with their own sorrows to feel compelled to join in and relive their personal agony, forgetting the fight entirely as the weight of their regret forces them to the ground. Should they give in to the wailing, they will feel colder and more numb until their own body feels almost foreign. Some may even see a loved one among the crowd, though the illusion cannot be interacted with. If no suitable sorrow is available, the sheer amount of noise and surrounding, ever changing crowd can be incredibly disorienting as it isolates its targets.

Sewing: Blythe has always been told she took after her grandmother who was the one to initially teach her how to sew. It started out with little things-- pillowcases, curtains, blankets--but the love for the craft blossomed as Blythe got older. Now she makes anything from curtains to full blown outfits for herself. She isn’t much of a designer, tending to opt for patterns available in stores, but sometimes an itch hits her and she will sit down and design something that she can alter off of a pattern. Before her grandmother passed away, for her grand-daughter’s 13th birthday, Blythe was given her own sewing machine. It's something completely dear to her heart and is the machine she prefers to use for most of her work now.

Feathers and Flight: Something about flying has always fascinated Blythe. As a child she fancied herself an aviator, much to her mother's consternation and disapproval, and while she never did pursue that dream as an adult, she has keepsakes to please her: fallen feathers, goggles, a bird feeder near a window so she can watch, and so on. Feathers, birds, and wings are often a motif she visits in her sewing.

Benefactoring: Perhaps an odd thing to call a hobby, but money passes and comes back to her hands so often, it might as well be. Blythe likes to connect with others and offer to fund projects, goals, and other interests that might benefit her. She has an economic flair for understanding stocks and comes from a wealthy family, and she'd rather see her investments be developed to help someone else--well, as long as she gets to benefit for helping out as well.

Organized: Blythe is borderline OCD and she is A-OK with it. She likes things in a neat and orderly fashion, and that means she is quite the organizer. Clothes are color coated in her closet, fabrics are organized by color and type, any sort of tools she owns for her work is well organized, and her classroom is always s**c and span with everything having its place. Even papers are organized by size and purpose. Sure, some people can find it overbearing, but she thinks of it as perfection since she can find anything at anytime.

Sociable: As someone who likes to play benefactor (read: a young woman with a lot of money and too much time), she likes to walk among the flock and meet people. While usually shrewd with her funds, she likes to help others realize their dreams. Even if she can't, it's always good to be friendly to others - you never know what that contact might yield.

Hardworking: If Blythe commits herself to a project, it's gonna happen, one way or another. She'll pull strings or get the elbow grease going. It extends to friends as well, treating them (for better or for worse) like ongoing projects that she can help tune up and reach their full potential. She knows to toe the line between dedication and overexertion, balancing her life like she balances her checkbooks: with quiet and professional ease.

Flaws
Opportunistic: If something is available, she'll probably take advantage of it. Blythe's loyalties are hard to win because she's always looking for something that might be better than what she already has. The insecurity of not being the best makes her always watching for the next big thing. Maybe it's a general more to her taste, maybe it's that civilian who looks like they need a sponsor. Connections are a rare commodity she likes to bank with like money, and she's used to the come and go like a social stock exchange.

Controlling: If you want something done, do it yourself. And if you can't do that, backseat drive. Blythe likes to micromanage everything she's involved in, especially if it's in her niche interests. There's most likely a silent you're an idiot somewhere there. Even with people she actually trusts, she can't help but try to make sure they do it the way she wants it done.

Greedy: Money in particular is the key to her heart, but things of worth in general can make it on the list. Blythe may be upperclass, but that doesn't mean she's satisfied with what she has. Oh no, she always wants more - more dessert, more fabric of that particular design, more jewels, and so on. If she doesn't get what she thinks she needs, why, she'll be left behind by whoever got it instead!

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes:
Silver

Hair: Silver, and super straight to her mid back

Face: An oval shaped face, high cheekbones, fuller bottom lip than top one, tends to wear quite a bit of makeup to help enhance her pale features.

Clothes: Always dressed to look good, Blythe wears anything from dresses to casual business attire almost all the time. Dress pants are a staple amongst her dresses, shirts and skirt and everything has a large range of colors and patterns. You name it, she probably has it, especially if it’s in fashion. Plus, don’t be fooled, some of the clothes she wears are made by her own hand!

General Weapon: A more ornate version of the above with metal feathers attached to the back of the weapon's head (essentially making it double bladed), perhaps with claws or crystals or whatever the artist feels appropriate (insp). Its wounds tend to linger with a burning sensation, as if raked by physical fire, and can leave behind deep burns if the wound is severe.
