I go out occasionally in GL, and I intend to make more outfits. I've gotten quite a few compliments, and some stares, little kids stare, and keep staring after I walk away, but oh well, I like it. I'm 20, almost 21, but I do not feel as though I am, theres an article floating around about the creator of Kamikaze Girls, and theres a quote that I like from that article that says something about lolita being a way to reject the dirty adult world. Thats exactly how I feel.

I, myself have never been talked to in a negitive way about the way i dress (except this one time when freshman called me emo..how does that work? Anyway, it didnt matter because well..their freshman.. and freshman 99.9999% are retarded and immature)
But if someone talked to me EVER in that manner. I'd go the bathroom, take of my dress, put on jeans and shirt, KICK THEIR a**, and then ask them if i was still a freak.
yea i know, very un loli, but... i have a tendency to not take that type of thing from people. especially people who dont know how to keep their rude comment to themselves.

some odd looks, alot of people tell me they like my skirt or shirt when i dress mroe casual loli, alot of pictures (the people at the art store think its pretty awesome) a bit of laughing and rude comments and the occasional hitting on o.0; but mostly positive comments and things the bad things fome from the drunks...mind you i live in the town of booze and partying so there are loads of drunks and rather preppy (i use this as a definition for how someone acts not purely the tiny miniskirt with low cut top and whatnot...) college students...
the hallmall however is incredibly accepting and people are always 'oh wow thats really awesome did you sew that yourself?'

Some stares, but I just smile and wave.
Then they either look away or make a comment.
Averagely people reserved or polite.
(Except the come-ons...those are odd)

I'm deathly shy, so even the one time I wore loli out, it was too much staring. I kept turning scarlet and staring at the ground ;_;

I wore lolita to school once before. I've already been labeled as "that weird girl" by everyone in our grade who isn't "that weird girl" with me. But I'm a freshman this year, so there were three grades full of people I don't know.
The cafeteria was hilarious. Everyone stared at me THE WHOLE TIME. And when I went to the bathroom and came back out, someone shouted "HERE SHE COMES!" and they all turned to stare again. My friend's reactions included: "HOLYSHIT." "********?!" and my favorite, "You look like a ******** two year old."
The "nice" comments I got included a thousand "Omigawd it's so cute!!" and two girls asked where I got my dress intending to check it out.

I wore lolita-ish things to San Fransisco last week.
While I was there I was at a trainstation and this old guy started to read all the train times slowly to me, and I stared and wondered wth he was going on about, until he said, "Oh, um, are you from Asia? I thought you might need help reading these."
After I said no, he asked for my name and if I had a boyfriend. o_O;
odd odd people.

I love when I go into stores,people stare so much...I get little snickers and laughs from the preps and the sluts that live around here but i really dont care confused I love it when little girls say to there mom "I want clothes like that mommy!!" its so darn cute!! xd

XD I love to see people's reactions when I'm in loli. I live in a pretty safe city so I dont worry about my safety tooo much.
A while ago I was affected by people's stares but now I'm sorta just like 'screw them' I'm always in my own world so no one talks to me XD I get a lot of 'you look like a princess' from little girls then their mom's carry them off in a mad dash looking at me like I'm going to kidnap their kid XD I think its the cutest thing in the world.

I never get any mean comments o -o;
Someone at my school asked why I was dressed like a maid and I'm quite certain the Japanese foreign exchange students [male] make fun of me, but I can't understand everything they say xD;
I love the attention though >w>;
Then again, even when not in lolita, I dress ..creatively >w<~
So I'm used to strange looks :]
But I get so many compliments and that erases anything negative n -n

When I dress loli and get made fun of by my friend Jon I'll eventually go change into jeans and a t-shirt and then fight with him... Though, he's the only person yet that's made me change out of loli to go fight. Usually when people make fun of me I just find some good verbal responce *shrug*

I've never had anyone say anything rude to me about it really. Yesterday, I was wearing a Gothic Lolita outfit in the mall, and my friend and I went into Hot Topic. I thought it was funny that the customers were staring... considering the clientele Hot Topic originally catered to before it created scene fashion and people like that... One of the employees, this cool short guy, stood by me when I was in the jewelry section and commented on how cute my outfit was. And there was this young woman who actually tilted her head and put her head forward to get a better look at my socks as I was walking around in the mall. It made me smile.
In general, I get a lot of stares from little girls. One of them stared at me with the HUGEST eyes for the longest time. It was almost scary. sweatdrop The lady who runs the park I'm going to be volunteering at said I looked like I had been dressed up to be in a play or something. And she said she thought it looked nice. 3nodding
Nothing mean, though. No one would dare. They think I'm crazy. xd
