Mark would smile a bit and chuckle when Damen misunderstood what the Mayak Gyeran were and placed the jar on the counter, shaking his his head a bit"Sorry Damen, risotto isn't what these are for. They're already soft boiled, but we can slice them and put them over rice"these were one of his favorite condiments to put onto a nice bowel of rice. The marinated egg and then smooth, runny yolk just oozing out over the hot rice, it was positively divine in his opinion. He could only hope the other man liked it as the flavor profile was distinctly Korean and it could be a bit off putting to some. As the two got to work cooking Mark would a nice zen when the two of them worked together like this, making food was always a nice experience when it was with Damen. Their two distinct styles often times ended up making something that was really good, once or twice they'd made something that was...inedible but that was just part of the fun of combining Japanese and Korean styles of cooking. Mark would then collect the vegetables from the fridge and smiled a bit as the two worked in comfortable silence. While the other got to work on the rice and miso soup, Mark would place the vegetables out on the cutting board and began slicing it up to the appropriate sizes. Once that was done he would then proceed to get a pan out of the cupboard and slid all the veggies into said pan. The pile was very large, however once the vegetables started cooking they would greatly reduce in size in no time. So once that was ready Mark would move over to the stove, gently nudging Damen a bit so he could get access to the stove before placing the pan onto one of the empty burners and turned the heat on. Once there was some soft sizzling from the pan Mark would begin to add in different ingredients to the pan which included soy sauce, pepper, chili flakes for some heat, and several other slightly more Korean ingredients. This was always fun in his opinion and while the two cooked, Mark would lean into Damen a bit and glanced at the other and offered a small smile to the other.

"Ah, I see. I look forward to trying it." he spoke to the young man and smiled. Egg risotto would have been nice but the demon was just as happy to try out new recipes. Damen continued to work on his part of breakfast though it wasn't to much work anymore. Perhaps some people would be less happy that he allowed Mark near actual sharp knives but the older man was confident that harming himself wasn't on his mind now. Just a glance at their expression told one as much if they cared to pay attention. After a while the man checked up on the rice only to be nudged aside a bit by his boyfriend. Damen chuckled a bit as he stepped aside and checked the rice while giving the other enough space as well. It was quite funny, one would think his kitchen was large enough for three people to cook in. Not that he minded it. It was nice to just enjoy life like this for a change. It didn't take long for the kitchen to be filled with amazing scents.
Once his food was to a point where he could let it cook by itself for a while, the man took plates out of the cupboard and started to setup the table for the meal. He made sure to add the usual extra toppings if any might like to use them and placed the cutlery and cups next to the plates. The two bowls he placed on the counter so they could be used for the soup and rice respectively right from the pan. After he had set up the table Damen moved to the side of the kitchen that had the water cooker and the teabags in the cupboard and put up some water for tea. For himself he placed a green tea ready to use and he looked at Mark. "Do you want tea as well? And if so which?" he asked them, his expression gentle as he waited for their answer patiently.

Mark knew that some people would be hesitant to let him wield and be around blades and sharp objects, however thankfully it had been a long while since he even had the thought of self harm enter his mind. Honestly the last time Mark even had the thought was when Damen had scared his parents off when he thought Damen had rejected his feelings. Looking back on it, the very thought was childish in nature but it was in the past now and Mark could not have been happier. Hell now that he knew what a real and loving relationship was, Mark was certain that he may even be able to try and put himself out there to maybe meet new people and make friends. At least if he could get himself to leave Damen alone, Mark simply adored being in the others company and couldn't get enough of it. He would then proceed to smile a bit when Damen asked him what kind of tea he wanted and Mark would tap his chin for a moment in thought as he pondered the choice"Sure! Um..I suppose that I'd like some...earl grey, it's a good morning tea"bright and citrusy, it was the perfect tea to start off the morning. It wasn't exactly the most Japanese or Korean of teas but Mark had to admit he liked all different kinds of teas and this did rank as a favorite morning tea. Finally Mark would smile down at the pan he was working on as the vegetables were perfectly cooked and ready to be plated and so Mark would place the vegetables in a bowl so that he and Damen could take what they wanted. Mark would then place the bowl on the table where it would be waiting and turned to Damen whom was preparing the tea and Mark couldn't resist the urge to walk over and hug the other from behind, nuzzling in the crook of Damen's neck as he was more than content to hold the other for a few seconds until he needed to let go. He couldn't quite place why but Mark felt most at ease whenever he was holding Damen or being held by him, there was a sense of security and comfort from the action in a sense.

Damen hadn't felt better than how he felt now. Being in a relationship as this was a first for him too. Due to his fear of bringing trouble upon those he cared most about he had always turned away from the opportunities. On hindsight he had felt the same for the lady back in the city he left so suddenly and far behind. Not that the demon regretted that, not at all. He loves Mark dearly and wouldn't trade this for anything. He didn't think of this all much now either way though as he was focused on Mark and their cooking together. Once he had gotten to the tea and he got the other's answer he smiled and nodded before taking a large box out of a cupboard next to the pans. When he opened it it revealed a lot of different flavors of tea. Of course his boyfriend wouldn't be new to this as they spent quite a lot of time together lately. Damen took out a tea bag of Earl Grey and closed the box again putting it back so it could easily be found if they needed more. "Earl Grey it is." he said with a gentle smile and went back to the water cooker that finished by now. He poured the tea into two mugs and placed the bags on a small saucer made for them. Before he could turn around however he suddenly felt the other embrace him as a little surprise and Damen chuckled placing his hands on his boyfriend's. "Days like this really are amazing." he admitted as he turned around so they could hold each other close. "I love you, my sweet Mark." he said before giving a soft kiss on their cheek and smiled at them. He could stay like this forever he thought and it would never get tiresome, he loved to hold the other close.

Mark made sure to cuddle with the other man any chance he got at this point, there was always something so therapeutic about being in contact with Damen. Maybe it was because a part of Mark still didn't believe it was real and that eventually Damen would just vanish into thin air. It was a silly thought but still he couldn't help but believe he was even able to be as happy as he was right now, that this was somehow just some big joke, an illusion that would fade away. But yet here Damen was, still in his arms and commenting about how days like this were amazing he the younger male couldn't help but let out a hum to agree with him. It really was, days where they could just spend as much time together as possible were his favorites. There were days in these two weeks that Damen had work he needed to get done at the computer and he'd respect his personal space during that time, but that didn't mean he liked it. But right now though Mark was more than happy when Damen would turn around, giving him a kiss on the cheek and once again professing his love. As usual the action and words left Mark's cheeks a little bit pink as he would lower his head and returned the kiss on the cheek"I love you too Damen"he commented with a content sigh escaping his lips as he held the other some more and stayed like that for a moment before smiling a bit at the other man. Eventually though the time came for the two to seperate and Mark sighed a bit"The foods probably done by now"he would comment, reluctantly pulling away from the other man but pausing to quickly snatch one more kiss from the other man with a small smile on his face, he just couldn't help it.

The demon smiled a bit when Mark let go reluctantly. He knew how they felt as he felt the same way. But even they couldn't hold each other 24/7. They still had things to do that were just as important after all. Eat, drink, work. But they spent all time together they had so far. A smile played over Damen's lips when the other stole another quick peck before they let go of him and Damen put the cups, teabags and hot water container on a tray which he then carried to the table as well and placed it down in the middle where he had left a spot open for the tray already. Once they were done putting everything on the table, the demon sat down and looked at Mark with a loving gaze. "Enjoy the meal." he said and winked at them before he lowered a bit so he could blow over the Miso Soup. Once it cooled down a bit he used his chopsticks to pick up some tofu and stirred it through the soup before eating it. Despite being in a more American area now, Damen did stick to his chopsticks as much as he could.

Mark would nod his head when the other man stated to enjoy the meal and he'd sit down at the table and prepared his own platter of food with a content smile. A nice bowl of miso soup, a bowl of rice, some of the sauteed veggies on that, then he would open of the jar of mayak eggs and placed two on top of the rice. Placing that aside he would then pour the hot water over the earl grey tea bag and smiled a bit before then grabbing a knife and cut open the eggs, smiling a bit as he'd made the softboiled eggs perfectly. The white was just fully cooked while the yolk was still completely runny and perfect. Finally once that was finished Mark would grab his own set of chopsticks and would begin eating. He interchangeably used forks and chopsticks depending on what he ate, forks were normally easier but for such a traditional breakfast it felt like blasphemy to use anything but chopsticks for such a meal. As Mark ate he savored the richness of the yolk that that permeated the rice, it was also nicely marinated in Korean seasoning. The different flavor combinations were nicely contrasted, especially when he took a spoonful of the miso soup and ate it. Once his tea was finished Mark would remove the tea bag and put a touch of honey in his earl grey before stirring it and taking a sip of the citrus flavored tea. Mark would then glance at Damen and smiled"So what are you going to be doing later? Do you have work to do or are you going to be free?"Mark would question so that he knew whether Damen would be free to make plans later or not.

It was quite early in the morning still when Damen stirred from his peaceful sleep. It had been a great night and the man that was the reason for it was laying in his arms. As the demon slowly opened his eyes, the first view he was met with was his beloved in his arms. A smile played over his features as he looked at them. Every night that he spent with Mark beside him was a peaceful and restful one. It was one of the big reasons perhaps that he slept so well these passed days as well. The man didn't want to wake them up though so he stayed quiet while he let Mark sleep, holding him just a bit closer carefully. They spent a lot of nights together and Damen wouldn't have it any other way. He loved to have his boyfriend near as often as he could. It much seemed like Mark lived with him in near all but official papers. And that was probably for the best for now while his love still was getting his feet firmly on the ground. Of course they never seemed to be troubled by it, but one could not deny that Mark had been confronted with some of the most rigorous changes ever since their last encounter with Mark's parents. Still, the demon could feel his stomach starting to object with him being awake and not eating, so even though he wished to stay with Mark, he sighed a bit and smiled gently. Damen leaned over a bit and gently placed a kiss on the other's cheek before he carefully got up and covered the other up again with the blanket.
Unless Mark was awake and aware, Damen didn't kiss them on the lips. Out of respect for his boyfriend. Yet even looking at them as he was walking out of the bedroom softly, the demon was overwhelmed with as much love and perhaps even more so as always. Quietly he walked down the hall and went to the bathroom to freshen himself up before continuing to the kitchen where he started to make some breakfast to soothe his stomach's grumbling for food. He also lowered the wall cover before the television and turned it on setting it to the news. Though Damen made sure to keep the volume low as to not bother his boyfriend. When he walked to the kitchen again to start coffee, he smiled when his gaze fell on one of the consoles he had bought so Mark could play his games here too. Damen was still looking for his type of game, but he always enjoyed watching Mark play as well. Once back in the kitchen he set up the coffee machine and turned it on and waited for it to be ready while eating his quickly made bowl of rice and listened to the television as it brought the latest updates. Usually he would have stayed in bed, but he didn't want to risk waking up Mark with the sound of hunger.

Recently Mark had taken to spending more and more time at Damen's house, he just enjoyed the others company so much and it seemed like the feeling was reciprocated by the other man. Mark only really went home when he felt like he was overstaying his welcome at Damen's and when he needed to go for a change of clothes. Honestly Mark didn't mind it when Damen stayed over at his house but usually the younger man wasn't keen on it only because his bed was only big enough to hold one person comfortably while Damen's bed was monstrously huge by comparison. This time around Mark had fallen asleep in Damen's arms and he was blissfully unaware of what was going on around him at that time. Mark wasn't usually an early riser so Damen's shifting didn't disturb him even in the slightest as he continued asleep. That being said he did smile a bit in his sleep when the other kissed his cheek, clearly the other man could make Mark happy even when he was unconscious.
Mark ended up staying asleep until much later into the morning before finally he began to stir, feeling around the bed for Damen only to find open air. A soft grunt came from the introverted man as he blearily looked around for a moment before stretching a bit and slowly shuffled out of the others bed, Mark would then grab his phone off the charger and headed to the bathroom where he'd grab the toothbrush he'd gotten for himself and first and foremost brushed his teeth to get the morning started. He'd then take a quick shower to wake himself up before pausing to look at himself in the mirror, the steel blue in his hair was staring to fade once again but Mark really couldn't be bothered to go out for a box of hair dye. Maybe he'd just let his natural black hair grow in for a change of pace, at least until he felt like changing it up again. He would then proceed to get dressed and headed towards the main living area and smiled a bit at Damen"Good morning"he quietly called out before heading to the kitchen where he'd make some buttered toast and nothing else, feeling exceptionally lazy today with very little appetite. With his buttered toast he'd get glass of water before beginning to eat his fast breakfast in the kitchen, seeing no need to go to the table for something like this.

On contrary to Mark, Damen was pretty much hardwired to getting up early for the most part of his life. So even now, while in Soleil and away from work and pretty much any responsibilities, the demon got up early more often than not. It happened at times that he stayed in bed longer, but it was quite a rarity. So when he woke up earlier that day he got out of bed after enjoying some waking time with his boyfriend in his arms. He never minded it if Mark stayed asleep though. The other man was free to do so and Damen would ever strife to not wake him unnecessary early. Mark was at his place often enough for it to feel completely normal to live like this, together, as if it was already a fact. At least it felt like that to Damen, even knowing they still had their own home. The man was all for going at Mark's pace however, allowing the younger male to call the shots and determine how fast and far they went.
Once Damen had gotten to the kitchen and made some breakfast he had taken it with him to the living room after he had his coffee. The rice was finished sooner of course, since he ate before the coffee was done. By the time Mark came to the living area, Damen had brought his bowl to the sink to wash it later today and he was sitting on the couch which his laptop on his lap. The man didn't worry at all to be working on his laptop while his boyfriend was with him. Mark had his complete trust. As such it wasn't at all unusual for Damen to be checking business e-mails while his boyfriend was sitting next to him. Or even to be checking his bank or income and payments. As much as Damen had stepped back finally, he did still keep a hand in his company. Though he kept it to a minimum while his boyfriend was with him. Giving Mark all his attention. Today when Mark came to the living room he was actually in a video call with his first man. The volume was low and Damen too had been talking quite softly to avoid waking up his beloved who was still asleep.
Not that it got in the way of Damen at all. To him, Mark was his number one priority. When Mark greeted him, the demon looked up from his screen and smiled to the other man. "Good morning my love." he greeted back as he watched Mark as they walked to the kitchen. At that Damen focused back on the laptop for now as Mark went about his breakfast. "Thanks for giving me a heads up Aldon." he spoke to the man on the screen. "Just keep an eye on them and let me know what you find out. I'll log off for now." he said which caused Aldon to smile. "He has a good influence on you Damen. You are finally taking some well earned rest." they said. "Oh shut up." Damen replied, though it was clear it wasn't in a bad way, they went back many years after all. Before he logged off the laptop Aldon could be heard laughing a bit before the sound got cut off as Damen just logged off the laptop and closed it before putting it on the table for now, shaking his head and smiling a bit.
Damen got up from the couch and went to the kitchen to give his love a proper good morning. The man looked into the kitchen and smiled a bit when he saw them eating, though it seemed remarkably few. "Are you sure that is going to be enough for you my love?" he asked, wondering a bit if that was the case at all. He walked to them closing the distance before giving them a hug and a quick kiss on their lips when he had the opportunity, if they let him, without interrupting their breakfast as he held them gently. "Did you sleep well?" he asked the other and smiled to them.

When Mark stepped out he saw Damen working away on his laptop which caused the young man to smile a little bit. He knew the information that Damen had there was a bit sensitive but quite honestly it all kind of went over Mark's head. Too many numbers, too much business lingo, nothing someone like him could understand. Still though it was sweet to know that Damen trusted him that much to be willing to do such work while he was around. However once he realized that Damen was in a video call Mark would make sure to scurry off to the kitchen to make his quick breakfast, not wanting to interrupt anything going on. He idly heard some of their conversation but Mark tried his best not to eavesdrop as it was incredibly rude to do such a thing. When his breakfast of buttered toast and water was finished Mark would begin to munch a bit on the slices of toasted bread before taking a sip afterwards. However Mark would look up and gave a sheepish grin to the other man when he apparently finished his conversation and came to the kitchen"I'll survive until lunch, besides when I'm not with you I usually skip breakfast anyway"he admitted with a small smile on his face, finding it cute how the other would worry about the smallest of things. His smile would only grow a bit when he got a good morning kiss, those never didn't brighten his day. He'd then stand there and let the other hold him as he finished his first slice of toast"Like a baby, your bed is uh...it's amazing"he stated with a small chuckle"What about you?"he'd question before going back to his toast, eating the second slice much quicker so he could get to holding Damen a bit faster.

Once Mark had come to the room, Damen had been quick to end the call. Not for any particular reason but wanting to be with them as soon as he could though. There was no mistaken it. The man was completely head over heels for the young man. And it had been something Aldon noticed quite fast there, perhaps a little too fast. 'Cheeky.' was what ran through Damen's mind as he walked to the kitchen. Of course he was all too known with his best friend's cheek though. And it wasn't like it was a real bother to the demon. Aldon was right and he knew it. Damen was slightly surprised when he heard the other often skipped breakfast though but then he smiled and shook his head a bit. "Really? The most important meal of the day?" he asked before the kiss though he knew he couldn't change it. Of course he couldn't help feeling worried about it though. The demon smiled gently as he had his arms wrapped around the other and rested his head against their back. Damen placed a gentle kiss in their neck, but stopped there until he knew the other was ready. Instead he listened to their answer and chuckled softly. "I slept all the better for having you next to me." he said lovingly to the other. While they ate their breakfast, Damen would just cuddle with them as thus, though he always made sure to not get in the way if Mark wanted to grab something or move away. "Did you want to do anything specific today?" he inquired calmly as the other ate. Of course there was no need for any true plans. They always enjoyed their time together no matter what they did, or didn't do. It happened enough they just relaxed at home together.

Mark chuckled a little bit at the others surprise when he mentioned that he often skipped breakfast when not with Damen"Eh, breakfast isn't much of my thing. It just depends on how hungry I am when I wake up"it was always changing for him, sometimes he woke up famished and other times he'd skip all together or in this case, settle for some light toast. Although truthfully he only got the toast and water because he knew the other would have fussed over him skipping entirely. Mark would then let out a small sigh of contentment when he felt the other wrap his arms around him, this always felt nice first thing in the morning. However once the other planted a kiss on his neck it sent a shiver up is spine as he felt his cheeks flush a bit as he swallowed a gasp down. That was even nicer. And the others words only made Mark flush a bit deeper when the other admitted that he slept better when next to him. Of course Damen wasn't too happy about hearing they skipped breakfast so often, but he wasn't Mark's keeper. His boyfriend is old and wise enough to pick his own meals. As much as it worried him, the demon didn't feel like it was his place to expect more. The man would just be content with the fact that Mark ate at his place at least. All Damen could do was give them all the love they deserved and more. Part of it was such close hugs as the one just now. The demon did notice the other react to the kiss in their neck and he smiled a bit. It looked like he hit a sensitive spot for his love. He wouldn't abuse it though, so he just held them in a loving embrace after. Of course Damen was curious, but it wasn't like they were in a hurry. The most important to him was Mark's happiness. When Mark spoke and stuttered again blushing as they did, it showed clearly to the demon he had indeed struck a sensitive cord. Which meant he would need to be responsible and careful with that knowledge. But he wasn't daunted by that thought in the slightest. A gentle smile played over his lips when Mark spoke about today and the man nodded. "That sounds like a wonderful time together." he said to Mark and let go of them for now before he softly touched their lips with his own in a gentle kiss. "Then today it will be just us. I'm all yours." he teased a bit and chuckled. There was plenty of things they could do, even on a lazy day home. It didn't always have to be outings. Damen was happy with anything as long as he had his boyfriend by his side. Days without Mark were really a dread by now. Even if they were (sometimes) unavoidable. With a soft smile the man gently wrapped his fingers around Mark's before he would lead them to the living room. The dishes could wait until later today. To be honest to himself, Damen did look forward to just cuddling with the other. Perhaps watch some television, or while Mark plays a game and he watches them. It all would be a great moment shared.

⬤ Blade of Shades: Nothing particularly powerful, just like any other sword but forged from shadows around him. As such he doesn't carry it on his waist all the time but he can create it. Something he doesn't really wish to use and so far only called it more than once for the wish to be able to control it to avoid accidental injuries. He isn't really a fighter however, only ever strikes out to protect those dear to him. (And it rarely includes this blade)
