“We’re definitely gonna get out of here.” Amity said firmly to Raliegh, nodding a little to herself. “There’s a whole team of people out there, someone’s gonna notice we’re missing and they’re gonna come find us.” Hopefully before whoever locked them up came back to finish the job.
She rubbed her head a little, exhaling. “Might be a while.” She admitted. “I broke off from the group a while back, there was a trail so we split up to follow it in different directions.” She really hoped the others didn’t fall into cages, too.
“I think they did.” Amity answered, looking over. “I felt like a really bad night out when I woke up. It’s sort of fading, but not really… Comes and goes.” She exhaled, looking around. “I dunno how they’re getting us. Other than being really familiar with this place. But I’d definitely think we’re not the first ones they captured.” She shook the bar of her cage with a small snort. Amity turned her head when she heard a new voice, blinking a little.
“Aw, damn. More of us.” She wasn’t sure if that was good or bad. “Next expedition I go on? Staying clear of any forests. Hey!” She called to the naiad, squinting a little to peer over towards his cage. Her vision was still a little blurry, which was aggravating, but she could sort of make it out… “You okay over there? … Aside from the obvious, y’know, caged crap.”

Oiche had woken up some time ago and wondered if hanging in a tree when everything was dark and slightly claustrophobic was supposed to be scary. Who the hell still hung their captors like this, savages? She could tell from the splitting headache and how the world was spinning that she was probably drugged but it just mostly pissed her off. Plus her cage was not built for some one 7’3. “I’m here and.... unhurt other than this migraine. You figure out where we phone in to lodge a complaint with costumer service? Because I gotta say, they are really lacking in their hospitality today. They should fire their staff.

God, his head felt like someone was inflating and deflating it like a balloon. Whatever he'd been drugged with made everything feel really, really weird and the one thing that was keeping him somewhat grounded was the pain in his leg that had been in the bear trap.....and the fennekit. He heard a familiar-sounding voice and looked in the direction he thought it came from. Was that a...Baphomet? "....Aside from feeling like I'm on a ship in a storm and the pain in my leg, I think I'm ok. Are you...the one from the deer trail?" He was trying to place where he heard her voice before and that was the only thing that was ringing a bell. Despite the light that was managing to come through, his vision was still blurred.
Troy heard Oiche and felt a small sense of relief wash over him; at least she was ok. "Ok.....good....you're ok...relatively speaking..." He leaned against the bars, quiet for a moment before he let out a bitter chuckle. "Looks like we really are in a horror movie, after all....hanging cages are such a cliché."

RP Response: Amarith groaned softly as she came to. At first she didn't know where she was, but when she tried to sit up and failed, she decided all she could do was lie there and think about it. It came back to her slowly. The forest, the traps, the bear trap! She tried to sit up again with marginally more success, though her wounded leg was slow to respond and hurt terribly. Was this sepsis shock? Oh, she really was dying, wasn't she?
It took her blurred eyes and throbbing head a long time to collaborate and inform her that she was in a dangling cage held high up in the air. She shuddered when she realized this--not because she was afraid of heights of course--but because she'd seen enough horror movies to know this was probably going to end very badly for her. For everyone who had been captured, apparently. She could hear other voices, people talking to each other, but for the moment she was mute. Afraid of drawing the attention of whoever or whomever had captured them. She didn't want to die! As much as she missed her dear Petunia, she really didn't want to die!

RP Response: Max made little sounds trying to get the leaf bug to come to him he wasn't really paying attention to the others around speaking since no one seemed to be speaking to him and he was a little out of it trying to get the leaf bug to be his friend. He closed his eyes and then rubbed his hands down his face. Then he opened his eyes again and focused on the leaf bug or at least he tried to as it came closer. He smiled a little bit and continued to watch the bug to see if it would come closer to him.

RP Response: Troy couldn't see properly into most of the other cages but he could make out movement....a lot of it....which meant there were more people captured. Were they all from the group that went into the forest? And what about the others? Did Clare see the flare that Oiche had sent? Even if she did, he almost hoped they wouldn't go into the forest because of all of the traps. What if they all ended up captured and hanging in cages? Would anyone come looking for them if they were missing for a few days? This whole situation was awful...and worse still, they had no idea if Dr. Horn and his people were still alive. Could all of this have been for naught? He sighed and looked up to watch the slightly blurred figures of the strange little bugs moving about the canopy in such a neat little line. It was....almost relaxing.

Amity twisted in her cage to try and see the naiad better, nodding a little herself. "Yeah." She said, snorting a little. "I was hoping you guys had better luck than I did. This whole place must be a swarm of traps." She huffed, looking around.
"At least we all seem to be mostly okay..." Amity added, sinking back in her cage and setting her head back against the bars. "It's gotta be promising that they didn't just get rid of us outright, right?" Maybe whoever had been capturing them could be reasoned with. At least it seemed like the only ones in cages for now were the forest crew. Two thirds of their expedition was hopefully safe, and having much better luck than they were.

RP Response: So she was the same one; Troy felt weirdly relieved yet also saddened by that. Was this only happening to the people in the forest? From what he heard the others saying, it certainly seemed that way. It made him worry about the others even more. "For a moment, we almost did....until those damn bear traps." He winced and touched over the wound in his leg, reaching into his pocket for his utility knife only to find it was gone....taken by the people who put them here, most likely. He sighed heavily, letting out another bitter chuckle at what Amity had said. "I suppose....but who knows why they haven't killed us. It almost makes me think that Dr. Horn and his party are still alive, somehow. Oiche and I found his journal but most of the pages were ripped out...maybe left as a trail, I thought...but there were two big feathers pressed between the last couple of pages. They didn't look like anything I'd ever seen before."

RP Response: Max frowned when the leaf bug moved away from him he sighed and tried to figure out a way to get the leaf bug to come closer to him and not run away. "Hey it's ok I won't hurt you."He said softly to the leaf bug. Holding his hand out hoping it would come closer again and not walk away from him. He didn't have much choice other then wait and see if the leaf bug would choose him or not. That was how familiars worked normally finding a familiar wasn't this hard, but they were in the above in a strange place so not shocking.

RP Response: Max sighed it seemed talking to the leaf bug had made it more afraid of him and it had lost all the progress he had made with the leaf bug and he flopped back against his cage. Maybe if he stopped trying so hard he would have one find him instead of trying to make one come to him. He rubbed his hands down his face wondering how long it would be before they discovered who had captured them. There had to be a reason for all of this and who knew Dr. Horn could be behind it all or was a prisoner too.

RP Response: Max was still pretty out of it and not thinking straight plus the light hurt his eyes so he really wasn't paying attention to the leaf bugs right now he had tried to draw one to him in his drug-addled state and only managed to scare the bugs away. So he had given up and was trying to relax and gain some focus on his situation. He just let his mind drift and figured he would gather his focus as soon as he was able and then maybe he could come up with a plan that would help the situation.

RP Response: Max was just sitting in his cage not really doing anything trying not to pay attention to the leaf bugs so he didn't frighten them away he looked around at the others in the cages instead. He was worried that they were all going to be caught and no one would be out there to mount a rescue, then again, perhaps if they were all together they could come up with a plan to get out of this mess somehow. He looked around to see if there were vines or something that would help them get out of here if they could get out of the cages.

RP Response: Max bumped his cage and made a loud noise by accident that scared the leaf bugs away from him before they continued on with their business. Max continued to look for a weakness in his cage that he might be able to exploit so he could get out, he was not ready to give up even if things looked bleak. He wanted to get back home, not that he had a special person or family, but he did love his skateboard and his life and staying in a cage in the Above was not something he would take laying down.
