"I suppose it is," Rhiyn agreed and offered her a smile. "You're not always around to reign me in, though." He was teasing as he shook his head. "Nah. I didn't have a choice with you." He leaned forward to kiss her cheek. "I couldn't help it," he added. "It was almost as if I was Impressed," he said. "I'm sorry it took so long for me to say."

"Hey, I Impressed you first. She's lucky I'm okay with her," Rhiyn protested. He kissed her cheek and smiled at her. "I'm glad we finally said something," he said.

"She would, but I would argue that--" he paused and smiled at her. "But arguing about it is fun," he said. "I suppose we shouldn't though, it isn't as if you favor one of us over the other."

"You know you wouldn't win an argument with my dragon, dear. She is always going to be determined. She gets top priority because she is my dragon, you are both loved though. If sometimes I seem busy with her, just know how much I love you,"she smiled.

He rather thought he could. Instead of arguing, he shrugged. Competing with a dragon for attention would be pointless. "Look, that bunch of stars looks like a tunnel snake," he pointed.

Her eyes followed up to where he pointed, seeing the collection of stars he was referring to. She knew he was changing the subject, but she really didn't mind one bit.
"Yes, it certainly does, doesn't it? And it looks like it could eat those cluster of stars right there,"she added.

"It's been trying to eat that cluster of stars for turns, but it'll never manage. Some dragon will always catch up to it and eat it." He grinned at her, glad she hadn't pressed the issue. He moved to kiss her cheek. "What else can you see?" he asked. Maybe they could make constellations together.

"Hmm, let's see, what else is there up in the sky. Oh, doesn't that one look kind of like a dragon? With their wings open, as if it is in flight?"she asked. She pointed to the cluster of stars she was referring to.

Rhiyn saw it when she pointed the dragon out. "It does!" He agreed. "And that one, it looks like a firelizard." He pointed to a small clump of stars. He imagined they could find any number of shapes--had anyone tried to count the stars? "I think there must be a whole Weyr of dragons up there."

She looked over to where he pointed, nodding her head, it did look like a firelizard. Her eyes scanned the stars some more, for any other shapes there might be. When he mentioned there was probably a whole Weyr of dragons up there, she smiled.
"I wouldn't be surprised, considering how many stars there are. All kinds of other shapes too, like that runner there,"she mentioned, pointing it out.

"I still remember T'rel telling me there were underwater dragons." Rhiyn remembered, with a smile. Talking about dragons in the stars had reminded him of the story. "Maybe people, too," he said, looking up again to spot the runner she'd pointed out.
"I see you," he said, pointing to a clump of stars.

"Yeah, I remember those stories too and how it always sounded so incredible. Though, we know the only dragons there are would be ones in the skies. Sure, some like to swim sometimes, but they still fly,"she smiled.

"I don't know," Rhiyn said, teasingly. "No one's ever been to the bottom of the ocean, have they? Maybe he's right." He'd grown out of taking T'rel's harper tales seriously turns ago, but what a Pern it would be if they were true!
He turned from looking at the stars to look at her. "I never thought I'd have this," he said.
