__ This girl had spunk and Tetsuhiko appreciated it. Their dance moves and their words seemed to be on the same wavelength. She knew how to seize the moment and get the most out of life, just like him! There were few types of people that Tetsuhiko genuinely enjoyed hanging around with, but people he perceived as similar to him were a safe bet. Tetsuhiko matched her hand signs as the music eventually stopped. It ended on a strong note and Tetsuhiko loved it. He finally found a band that was good enough to follow him around. "Rising superstar, hmmm? Are you an artist as well?" He could now speak at a regular volume once his band finished. They took a short break to tend to their instruments. "If so, I can help you on your journey to artistic greatness. This world is ugly and ravaged by war, but one day I'll usher in a renaissance of culture!" Tetsuhiko made grand gestures during the monologue of his immortal puppet life's purpose. In Tetsuhiko's view, the world would not be so awful if people were more focused on art or music rather than espionage or war. Shinobi artists could indeed pave the way to a more beautiful world.

Sonyo watched Taylor's face as first, confusion was there, then a spark of recognition. The boy stumbled over to her and Sonyo fought back the urge to flee-- it was only when taylor started to cry that that urge disappeared. Sonyo felt the choke of tears even stronger in her throat, and her heart was hammering in her chest. When Taylor finally hugged her, all she could do was hug him back. Mom, she hadn't been called that in so long. She didn't deserve to be called that... But some selfish part of her couldn't let her son go, couldn't push him away like she should for all the terrible things she had done to him. It was clear he didn't remember, and whatever had happened to cause his amnesia was all her fault; it wouldn't have happened if she would have never left him.
'Taylor...' She could only feebly sob his name in her head, she didn't have the strength or will to physically say the words. Her hands gripped at him as she held him close.... she didn't want to let go. She felt Shukaku inside her, a mess of emotions as well. He had been so sure the little guy was gone, and here he was... The only person who had ever treated Sonyo like a person outside of Nari, and not a Jinchuriki, not a shinobi, not a possible killing machine or a life saver--- a mom, a human, more.
She carefully hearded Taylor outside and in to an alley between the two buildings, her hands trembling. She looked at him for a moment, wiping away his tears, trying to hold back her own. __ Tetsuhiko nodded when Emiko mentioned being a healer. He required mechanics more than doctors these days so it was unlikely that he would need her services anytime soon. When she mentioned that she would be one of his big fans he smiled brightly. Then when she stood on her toes and sang he would not allow himself to be upstaged! He imagined a justice crusading police captain somewhere in the world, possibly in the other village as his inspiration for this tune. "Lord let me find him, that I may see him, safe behind BAAAAAAAAAAAARS! I will NEVER REEEEEEEST 'till THEEEEEEN this I sweeeaaar. THIS...I...SWEAR...BY...THE STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS!" Tetsuhiko's voice was highly operatic and grand in his little performance. He wondered if such an individual existed somewhere in this world. "Anyway, I don't know if you can tell, but I'm the immortal god of art and beauty. My body is quite literally its own magnificent piece of puppetry art. As a result, I'm not sure if I'll require your medical services." Tetsuhiko spun his head around multiple times and made a number of incredible movements that no human could do.

Tetsuhiko's performance had shook her to the core. He belted out a magnificent vocal note while she could only sit in astonishment at what he was doing. The notes coming out of his mouth was otherworldly, like something you would hear at an opera or whatever that was. "Egast! I've been bested! I submit to your skill, Tetsuhiko." The female gave the strange man a bow of her head, playfully submitting to his skill and performance. However could she contest with his skill?!
Where it was super weird was when he spun his head around after the revelation that his body was primarily of puppet things and machinations. "Wow! That's pretty cool!" she said, a spark of curiosity in her eyes. "If I can't work on you like the human body, then I'll just have to study puppetry and get super good at learning how they work. Then when you're hurt, I can help you!" Emiko said, looking pretty proud of herself for her idea. She pushed her chest out and gave Tetsuhiko a proud smile. "Maybe one day, you'll teach me how to be the best performer like you are!~"

__ This Emiko was an absolute delight to Tetsuhiko so far. When she bowed to his performer skills he performed a proud bow of his own at the end of his performance. The puppet boy performed the splits when Emiko talked about learning how to operate on puppet bodies. "I've got no strings to hold me down, to make me frown, but the most important piece of me is the core of flesh that holds my heart and my chakra. It's safe in my chest, but if it's ever destroyed then I go with it." This was not a detail that Tetsuhiko was open about, but he figured that a budding medical ninja should know. "If you wish to become a great performer then you've found the right person!" He jumped back to his feet when he made note of this. He looked up and remembered that she was sitting next to a boy who was still hiding in the kitchens. Tetsuhiko smirked before leaning down and whispering in Emiko's ear with cupped hands. "So who's this boy you're with? I hope I didn't interrupt anything." Tetsuhiko then returned to his standing posture and chuckled to himself.

"So who's this boy you're with? I hope I didn't interrupt anything."
The question caused Emiko to fumble a bit with her words but she did look back towards the kitchen where Yoshiro had fumbled inside of a few minutes ago to prepare another bowl of udon for her. She leaned up to whisper back to him. "H-He's Yoshiro, another genin like me. He can seem kinda..." Her mind scattered as she tried to think of a good word for it. Headstrong? No, too mean. Hotheaded? Too on the nose. Eventually after a while of trying to think of words, Emiko just continued forward. "He's cool. A bit shy kind of but he's a good guy. We met back at the academy and have been friends since. Yoshi means a lot to me in a way. N-Not like...like but he's the one person who puts up with me and is still nice. I hope I'm not making him feel bad for coming here." Emi's normally boisterous and sweet smile faded into a frown as she looked back at the kitchen.

__ Perhaps Tetsuhiko was being too curious, but he could not help himself. He also delighted at the opportunity of giving his new galpal some boy advice. He was reminded of his own childhood crushes like when he first saw himself reflected in Sadayo's eyes. He had been smitten with her or, more likely, the aesthetic idea of their puppeteer artist relationship. Tetsu nodded when Emiko finished her nervous piece about Yoshiro. "Well, he sounds like a nice boy. Why would he feel bad for coming here? He's been in that kitchen for an awfully long time. I supposed that his parents owned the place. Is that true?" Tetsuhiko's speech patterns were overly refined yet hushed as he spoke as an indication of his noble heritage. Money was never an object to Tetsuhiko as a child as he had plenty of time and funding for his art projects. Tetsuhiko was unsure if his assumption about Yoshiro's family owning the restaurant was correct. Perhaps Emiko would give him more information.

"Zhi found me. Go figure she would, right?" He said with a chuckle through his tears. He broke free for a moment to look at her. "When she found me, I had none of my memories. Even now I don't have too many of them. For example, I don't remember what happened to Suna, or a lot of the friends we had back in the desert." He said remorsefully. A smile then crossed his face. "However, I'm here mom. When Zhi returns we'll be-" His memory suddenly returned to him in a burst. He had more than just a mom. A smile crossed his mouth as he recalled the man who first found him. "Where's Nariomi-Sensei? Is he with Masato?" He said excitedly, finally recalling also the man who raised him like a brother. He felt a rush of euphoria as he started to remember more things. Was Sonyo's love helping him restore his memories? It was the fear of losing Zhi which spurred the initial sensation of memory. Maybe if he connected with more people with whom he had positive memories with that he would remember more. That had to mean Nariomi as well.

Zhi found him, which wasn't a surprise to her. The two were always very close, in fact Sonyo had teased the two of them about dating a few times in the past. The slight smile on her face brought by those memories faded away in to a look of sadness and almost-horror. She didn't know how to tell Taylor Nari was gone... should she lie?
Should she tell him he went away on another journey, like all of the journeys he had taken before? Sonyo bit her lip, looking down; she didn't want to lie but she didn't want to crush Taylor's heart... "Nari is... " Her voice cracked, her fingers knotted together to nervously fiddle. No, she couldn't lie. She couldn't hurt him more by hiding the truth only for another Sunagakure shinobi to tell him the truth... Everyone knew what happened to Nari that day.
"The UHV came for us... and he was just as wonderful and vibrant as he always was... The... T-The only way for us to escape was for someone to stay behind. At first Bastet wanted to stay but then..." She looked up at her son, only to look back down. "Nariomi said that wasn't fair. That Suna still needed her... So he... He stayed behind."

Taylor tensed up when Sonyo spoke. Why did her demeanor change? His mind drew an answer, but his heart refused it. Then came the inevitable conclusion. "No..." He said with a gasped mouth and clenched hands over his lips. His eyes were wide as he shook his head. "I mean, that can't be. If he's dead, then I..." He paused as he thought the implications of his statement. His hands moved to raise his shirt. His markless, flat stomach was displayed. "See? No demon. If Nariomi-Sensei passed, then I would have done my duty to him and become the seven tailed host. We promised that I would do that, remember?" He said, desperately chasing a fantasy. "But! Since I don't have the demon, that means he is still alive. He has to still be alive." He repeated. He wasn't ready yet. He just started to remember people and there was a chance that they were... no. He wasn't ready yet. He knew that he was gone for years, but there's no way that he missed that much.

Denial. Denial was so easy, Sonyo's hands shook as she took Taylor's face in her hands. Tears burned at her eyes-- she wished that could be it, but Nari would have found her by now, surely. Right? "Taylor... Taylor, baby, no.. nono..." She brushed a hand through his hair, her touch soft. He had to come to terms with this, he couldn't move on if he didn't... "We lost Chomei... I don't know where he is but someone went back and... found... Nari... He... H-He's gone..." Her lip trembled and she pulled Taylor in for a tight hug, squeezing him as tight as she could. "But I promised Nariomi-Sensei!" Taylor shouted as he broke his face away from his mother's hands. There were tears in his eyes as his face was red. "I promised! I pro-" He suddenly stopped. Pain coursed through his body as cursed lines marked along his body. "Gyh...ryah!" He screamed in agony as his head tilted back. His body was being swallowed by corrupted nature chakra. It coursed through him and exploded outward, no doubt sensed by his mother and her demon. He fell to his knees as the cursed lines created more pain. He had no idea what was going on, but everything felt like it was on fire.

At least Tetsuhiko wasn't asking her the real bad stuff, like going into her entire history and personal life. She preferred to keep that hidden not out of embarrassment but shame. "Well, he sounds like a nice boy. Why would he feel bad for coming here? He's been in that kitchen for an awfully long time. I supposed that his parents owned the place. Is that true?" There was so much to unpack in his questions that Emi would then begin to pace a bit now.
"Not him, but me. I don't know if his parents want me here or not. His mom looked fine but his Dad..." she paused, taking a long breath. "Back during the Blood Moon, I-I think something happened. Ever since, he's been acting so strange sometimes. Almost like I did something but I can't remember. It's nice, I guess, but...I don't know. It's complicated." AFter fuss for a moment or so the child went back to retreat inside of that emotional shell and instead, focus on his final question.
"They do. At least I think. They went back a long time ago. Their udon is really good too, so I just assumed that Yoshi's family runs the place. They're super young too. At least for parents.
