St. × Vier

User Image
They moved through the streets quickly, with the Kirs taking the most straightforward route from the club to Haven. There didn’t seem to be a particular need for stealth or evasion, and so they simply moved through the main streets, and St. Vier tucked his head into the Kir’s chest to make detection more difficult.

It could hurt his business if he were too easily identified. Rather, it could embolden the wrong kind of customers. Could embolden the small people who watched at the edges, ready to take over his business.

As it was, speed was more important than being maximally careful. The Kirs ran with their respective burdens. Near to Haven, St. Vier sudden pulled himself half up, a hand on the Kir’s arm to give himself enough leverage. He felt--something.

Some flash of recognition. Some sense of himself, out there on the streets nearby.

But without his sight to confirm anything, he couldn’t be sure, and he settled back down, ready to be brought in.

Vol's Ship Crew

It didn't take them long to retreat higher into the sky above the cloaks of the nightly clouds. The small crew quickly assured the ship wasn't damaged as they checked the stats and confirmed the creature below was lost.

The guards remained vigilant towards their prisoner at all times and stood on guard by the cylinder cell. One of them flicked a switch and the glass cylinder encased itself with a one-way black sheet that lets them see inside but the prisoner within would only see black and no sound could slip in there.

The driver whose name was Kale and Vol's best mechanic manoeuvred the aircraft with skill. They made haste towards the main lab which was in the opposite direction of Master Volithious and Kale couldn't cease the knots in his stomach for abandoning him. Still, orders were orders.

Kale clenched the handles and pressed on, leaving the area with no trace to be followed.

Lokeah noticed the other male begin to slow and fall back as they dashed frantically down the street away from Haven and he slowed as well. They were far enough to slow their pace for the sake of conserving whatever amount of energy would remain when the adrenaline wore off. Well, maybe.

He wasn’t ready for the answer’s to his own questions. Not ready to face the reality that Honey so easily could relay in response with a sort of unnatural humor.

We should be dead.

That statement alone caused the gods body to seize up in fear and allow Honey to trail ahead just a bit before he too stopped. He had been in there for such little time, but there was no denying that the man who held him captive was protective of his assets and that he wasn’t exactly afraid to break them.

“Maybe we should be… but we’re not. I’m not gonna die at the hands of Vier or any of those creatures.” He hissed as tears welled up in his eyes.

Lokeah wasn’t even sure if he could believe himself at this point, but that didn’t stop the urgency that would follow his words. He needed to get somewhere safer if there even was such a place. He ran a few paces before turning to find Honey immobile and hopping back.

“Come on idiot. You’re a free man now, so act like one.” He said, grabbing the other mans hand and beginning to tug him off towards and alleyway. He didn’t even know for sure why he even cared enough to do this. To pull the man along when it didn’t benefit him in the slightest… maybe out of thanks for not only allowing but assisting him in his escape. “I couldn’t care less if that a*****e is in danger and neither should you. You’re only an object to a man like that.”

When they’d pass into the opening that would lead to the narrow space between buildings he couldn’t help but catch something out of the corner of his eye. Something that would bring a horrible dread and cause his pulls on the other males arm to grow harder and more frantic. He could have sworn he just caught the slightest glimpse of one of those creatures he feared…

Whether either of them were noticed by it or not he wouldn’t know, but now his mind fixated on finding shelter. He knew of hidden spaces throughout the city, more importantly a maze of underground tunnels that he’d managed to find just as quickly as he’d lose them. It might be their best bet… maybe…

“If you see anything odd… say something.” He said simply without clarification. He wouldn't let go of Honey's hand unless the other desired it or began following on his own will again.

Honey
If Honey had really been serious about moving back toward Haven he wouldn’t have allowed things to go this far. He followed the other man along the alley, even took comfort from the idea that it was possible that St. Vier was nearby, that they might be taken at any moment. …No, rather, that wasn’t right--he was fighting against that idea, trying to neutralize it.

On one level he understood why it was dangerous, sad, that he should be happy to see any evidence of St. VIer on the streets.

It was likely good that what ever he saw was secondhand, at best. He wasn’t ready; or; in any case he was mostly useless in moving forward.

He kept close to Lokeah, just barely not touching. Focused as he was, there was no sense in which he could have noticed anything outside of Lokeah; it was difficult enough for Honey to block out the temptations that told him to start back toward Haven; to break Lokeah down and drag him back as well, as penance.

Any response he might have had was explosive; he recognized that. The things he wanted to say most were something like ”there is no world where St. Vier is dead but we live” and ”Everything alive is an object.” Both things would have exploded their relationship, which assumed Honey was an individual helping another individual escape. Honey didn’t, necessarily, think of himself as anything so robu8st; he didn’t, necessarily, think of Lokeah as anything but an object that should be returned to Haven.

He blinked rapidly, and moved along a thin alleyway Lokeah indicated.

Sox dropped the unconscious person roughly to the floor when he was allowed to help his precious Needle and pinned his big black eyes onto the hand lain out before him. His fast limbs would have preferred to snatch the hand quickly but, he was cautious about the man's condition so he gently took the large hand into his sleek ones. More eyes opened on his forehead and he scanned him over, holding his hand like this let him feel just how damaged he was from the pulses and twitches of pain and heavy breathing. Even though Sox wasn't well educated in the subject of the human body, he had the common sense of his instincts and they urged him to fix Needle.

Could he? Sox was sure he can fix open wounds but he hoped there was no internal damage. Ah- what about food? That always helped him get better, maybe it works the same for this person. He decided to get some once he was stitched up.

Tugging the hand close to his mouth, keep his eyes on Needle, he lightly licked at the wounds on the palm using special saliva to coat them in a fluid that greatly aids healing and also has a mild numbing effect. He couldn't stop the thought in the back of his head at thinking just how nice Needle tasted - no- concentrate!

He slipped four of his own fingers into his mouth and soaked them in the saliva before those fine webs snaked out from his nails again, much like he did with the other guy but this time he wanted to try not to cause any pain, with the coated webs he stitched the hand up and lightly guided Needle to sit down. The clothes were in the way and he couldn't see all the damage that needed fixing, so he just carried on warily prying at the ones he could see, occasionally licking his fingers again so he didn't have to tongue the wounds and stitched him up as best he could. He was quite surprised at how wounded he was since he was able to move around. Sox bit his lip and pulled back when he was done, he shouldn't let him walk in his condition. But it would be a burden for Sox to carry two bodies in his current form... a long "hmmmmmnmn.." sighed out his nose as he stared at the white-haired one, then back at Needle.

He'd rather be helpful than fit in with his looks. Which means now wasn't the time to play dress-up, so he scurried back a little and once again removed his clothes- it was getting tedious now that he was considering just staying in his main form for a while. Quickly stuffing his pack with his attire he zipped it up and made sure his hat was still on his head before he changed his lower half into a spider and stretched out his limbs. Now in his older form, he took a moment to relish in the outside air properly before crawling towards Needle who he wasn't sure was even conscious anymore.

Sox remembered a place he saw before going underground, there was a pile of what looked to be human food stacked nicely in the middle of a road. He wondered if it would still be there? He didn't want to leave Needle's side so he lowered his body down "Hungry? I-Sox, knows where food waits. Needle come?" his lanky human half loomed over the man, casting a shadow to wait for some sort of response.

It was plain to see that Akika was reminiscing on the past. Kaeden certainly couldn’t blame the guy, he could only imagine what this place would have been like before everything went down. Perhaps one day things would return to somewhat ‘normalcy’, whatever that had looked like, and they wouldn’t have to scrounge around on the streets for supplies.

With the description, Kaeden could picture it in his head, it reminded him of the Moit somehow. People eating together, huts all around, and the closeness of family between people… Well, perhaps not that last part. The Moit were close, that was certain, but Kaeden personally had never seen them as family. Though, the more he thought on it, the more he wondered if they were actually a family. He’d have to ask Siere about that one.

With a small nod, Kaeden offered a teasing grin to Akika, “We have bonfires sometimes, yeah. Lotsa’ stuff like that to make the group closer or something.”

For a minute there, Kaeden could swear they weren’t alone, however it seemed whoever had been there passed them, and left them unharmed. He let out a breath of relief at their luck. He glanced around, then let his gaze fall back on Akika, a frown evident on his features. He seemed rather uneasy. He didn’t like being not-alone outside of the camp, so the main streets were probably his least favorite place to be.

With a sigh and a wary glance around, he spoke softly again, “Sorry, suddenly got a bad feeling… I’m sure it’s nothing though.”

At first, Needle let himself just warily relax into Sox’s ministrations. Yeah, there was a chance any particular movement would lead to Needle being rendered utterly trapped, as he had before—maybe there was something in the other man’s saliva, or maybe Needle was just so relieved to find any positive feeling seeping into what he knew should be painful, debilitating wounds, all throughout his arms.

It was true he was likely rendered even more stupid by the overtly (unconsciously?) sexual way the spider man moved to help him. He breathed sharply out when the man stuck four fingers deep into his mouth, following the track the thick saliva there made (or was it web?) to help him.

He should have been more careful, but instead he watched with a lecher’s focus the movements Sox made to heal him, focusing in on each movement of fingers to mouth. Even as his body responded, he realized it was freaky he was feeling anything at all. He wasn’t inclined to think about it too hard. If he wanted the spider man, he could maybe arrange to ******** him once they were all in the Slaughtered Lambs’ camp. Or, if not, he’d be so busy with raider p***y he’d forget the spider man existed at all.

Yes, that was right. Easy to dismiss any feelings he felt that way. ‘Just focus on Hyena,’ he told himself.

When he tried to move, he found he could move much more easily. Who knew what long term effects any of this would have.

It didn’t matter, really. He was feeling well enough that now was the time.

”Hey, no, you shouldn’t look like that out here” he chided, trying to discourage Sox from taking his more powerful form.

”Thank you, Sox. Hey, let me guide you to my bike. You and me and this prize” meaning Hyena of course

”We’ll be heroes where I come from. Let’s go back to my bike, I’ll take us back there right away, yeah? It’ll be sweet. I’ll take you to my room.” The last was total fiction, but something in him intuitively responded, thinking it was something the spider man might want. Needle slept where he could. Sometimes for weeks, it was true, but always read to perk up and move the base essentials he kept for sleeping to a safer spot.

”Come on, pal.” He made grabby fingers, finding he could actually raise his arm to beckon the spider man close, to move beside him.

”We’ve gotta be close to my bike. Then I’ll lead you home, yeah?”ac

Akika had been lost in thought a little, but not enough to stray from Kaeden's side. The vulpine dearly missed the village and the people in it. The nights at the large fire. The stories told by their tribal storytellers. If he focused, he could still hear the sound of the drums, the crackling of the fire and the singing of their people. When his friend spoke again, his ears twitched a little and the kitsune looked back at the other. "Bonfires? I was not aware it was a practice outside of my village." he admitted to his friend. But then, he could not say he had been outside of it so far, so for all he knew it always had been. He didn't really have time to think of it to long however as Kaeden suddenly seemed a little on edge.

When they looked back at him, Akika could see their expression wasn't like the grin he had just displayed and it put him on edge in turn. For a moment the vulpine closed his eyes a bit and felt around them, for the energy. The ears moving back and forth a bit as he was trying to 'feel' around for the presence his friend felt. His skill with energy wasn't as strong though. He could feel a faint energy not theirs on a slight distance, but he couldn't tell what or who. The kitsune opened their eyes and tilted their head slightly. Though he didn't doubt Kaeden. They had detected his energy from miles after all. That showed Akika they were very good with energies. He was about to ask if he thought they were ill intent, but he was already answered that in a way. "I see. We are not alone here?" he asked softly, his voice almost a whisper.

A slight feeling of goosebumps had formed when Kaeden mentioned it, but the kitsune stayed firm near his new friend. After all they had told him to run if he was told to run and he would as per his promise, but right now they seemed quite alright with the presence, whatever it was. Akika much preferred he wasn't told to run either way. Though he couldn't argue with Kaeden's argument that someone would need to warn this leader guy. To be honest he already lost their name. But since he was the leader, like Kaeden said, it shouldn't be hard to find him. Though since their situation had changed here, the fire spirit didn't let the thought about what the name was occupy him thoroughly. They needed to be alert, or at least that was the vibe that Kaeden was giving him at the moment.

Carefully, Akika looked around them, trying to not be to obvious. Perhaps they could see them before anything bad would happen. At the same time, the kitsune kept in mind what they came here for, so he remained vigilant for more than one thing. If they could gather some good stuff that would be good to bring back to camp, perhaps they could return before anything bad came into their path at all. Of course after that there was still this question for Akika if he could even stay around there. He was made well aware that it depended on one man, or so it seemed. "Let's gather what we need as soon as we can and try and stay low. Maybe we can avoid trouble around here." he whispered to Kaeden next to him who made the impression he wasn't really banking for a fight.

The sleek boy preened at the praise for his good work and smiled but when Needle questioned his appearence he deflated and quickly shrank into a worried naked human. So the four-armed man didn't like Sox in that form? It was hard to tell but the spider's instincts could sense more worry and concern rather than hate and disgust so the cream headed arachnid stayed looking frail, his milky skin shimmering slightly in the outside. He didn't want to put the clothes back on but he reached into his bag and put his shorts on at least. He learned the hard way not to have this part of him left out in the open when he was human..... human forms were so odd.

Now standing with a hat, shorts and a backpack on he listened to Needle speak such enticing words that his heart fluttered in excitement! Sox could be a hero? He could go to his special person's room? Oh~ he wondered what it was like! The arachnid's cheeks flushed and he excitedly went to take Needles hand but he quickly remembered the other luggage.

Grabbing the unconscious boy he stretched out some webs and stuck him over his backpack like a human-pack. Then his slender legs trotted over to Needle and he held his hand firmly. He'd always wanted to hold someone's hand like this, so he stayed close go the man's side as they walked and Sox occationally leaned his cheek close to Needle's shoulder. He felt so loved and his imagination went wild with high expectations for this home! "Sox will be treated like a hero?" He looked around as he spoke "Can i stay in your room?" He wondered what a person's room looked like, this one in particular must be a really good one. "I've been good, yes?" He urged, prying his face close to Needle's ear then his tone changed, once again imitating Needle "Treat me right, baby~" he smiled and then looked over at what may have been a bike? He wasn't sure- didn't care, he'd rather ride this guy right here.

The presence Kaeden had felt was a ways off, but it didn’t help the uneasy feeling in his gut. He didn’t exactly want to worry Akika, but it was better to be on your toes in a place like this. For one, he never usually stayed out in the open like this. Kaeden much prefered the alleyways and the underground to the main streets. Nothing ever happened in the underground tunnels or alleys, right? With a scoff, he shook his head, “I think we’re alone, the bad feeling’s mostly gone. It just startled me for a moment is all.” He contemplated a moment before taking off his goggles once more for an unobstructed view around them. As far as he could tell, they were alone.

For now, he left his goggles off, feeling safe enough with Akika; confident no one was around. His mind went back to the camp, and the bonfires and ‘team building’ events. Kaeden, for one, didn’t much participate in them, preferring to watch from afar. However, it did always warm his heart to watch everyone having such a good time. Not that Kaeden would ever admit that. He had to keep his cool guy persona somehow, and going around admitting feelings was not on his list of things to do ever. He couldn’t wait to get back to tease Siere some more.

Kaeden was proud of Akika for not panicking. He knew how this world could be scary at times, but seeing Akika handle it so well was refreshing. Without thinking, Kaeden reached out a gave Akika’s ear a little scritch. A small, impish grin formed on Kaeden’s lips, “Good fox. Got a good head on you. Let’s keep it that way.”

Kaeden turned on his heel, then waved Akika on to follow him further. With his other hand, he adjusted his goggles, knowing they were going somewhere arguably even more populated; which had it's pros and cons in itself. More people meant they were less likely to be picked out of a crowd. “Right then… The market’s always good for supplies and stuff...” He paused, scratching the back of his head, “Never hurts to stock up… So let’s head there!”

It was too easy. Rather, it was perfectly easy, since he was still bone-a** tired and ready to be home. He’d grinned to himself as the man pulled his shorts on, in a good position to get another long look. Sure, yeah, he probably deserved first dibs, right? That was only fair, considering the invaluable prize he was delivering.

He started to say of course Sox could stay in his room (such as it was), but the change in tone pulled him offbalance. He laughed shakily, gooseflesh breaking out on his arms and prickling at the back of his neck, toes curling in some mixture of interest and discomfort. It was so ******** weird how the spider man could do that. It was eerie. Eerie but, at least for a horndog like him, reasonably effective.

”Bet” he murmured. If he’d been thinking well, he might have tried for seductive, even the laziest version, in response--since the spider man was throwing serious vibes. But, interested as one bit of him might be (in a tired, unfocused way), he was already casting his mind forward into the next few minutes, maybe hours. How the hell he was going to remember how to find his bike, where the ******** were his boys, how long would Hyena stay under, was it safe for Sox to ride b***h, should Needle hold Hyena himself just in case he had to fling the spider man off en route?

He followed Sox’s gaze automatically, and all lascivious thoughts fled his mind as he stared in stunned belief at…his bike. It was unmistakably his: from the painted front plow x’ed over with crossed needles (faded now, half splattered over with something black and tarlike, to the armored inserts around his fuel tank and fuel canister side case, to the suicide shift with a hand clutch roughly shaped into a naked woman’s torso. He moved away from Sox (and Hyena; definitely a bad idea to do that but he was amazed), approaching his bike and running a loving finger over a trumpet-shaped end pipe. Had he somehow made a complete 360, down there? By what lucky happenstance had the spider dragged them so that the closest exit was the one Needle had initially entered?

His boys’ bikes weren’t there; neither were the boys. He’d think about that later. <******** me” he breathed in wonder, quickly turning back toward Sox, energized by this miracle. He beckoned forward with his two right hands, looking first at Hyena.

”This is it! This is my bike. Come here, come, bring Hyena!”

He felt himself coming around slowly, still weak and exhausted, barely able to move even without the webbing around his form. He was still too weak to fight back much, giving a small groan in his chest as he began to come to. His eyes tried to focus on his surroundings, noticing he was no longer in the comforting shelter of the dark Underground, but once again in the open streets.

He growled out some nonsense, an attempt at speech in a throat that could only form basic words even under more adequate conditions.
Hhhhhrrrdnkgd,” he growled out weakly.

Needle's sudden excitement made Sox c**k his head very curiously and his gaze wondered to the bike- so that's what it was? He'd never seen one before. Was it alive? Seeing his dear companion so hoy struck had the spider merrily following along no questions asked, it didn't matter if the metally thing was alive, he trusted Needle.

Movement on his back made him freeze his steps and multiple black eyes sharply shot to the side. His luggage was waking? Unsure what to do he gave Needle a look before hesitantly getting closer, then he turned around so that the white-haired individual was facing Needle. "Is he awake? Hurt him?" he asked, slightly jerking his backside to flop his webbed up prey.

As he waited in position, his eyes wondered ahead at the main streets which grew eerie shadows and the occasional sign of life flicked through the darkest corners. He didn't want to stay here too long.

So many of his questions answered all at once.
1.He apparently didn’t need to remember s**t; 2. His boys weren’t the ******** here, and that’s all he really cared about; 3. There he was, coming to. He looked bad, harmless really, though Needle wasn’t that stupid; 4. Sox was going to have to ride b***h because--5. Hurting Hyena any more would be bad. He wanted Hyena as able as possible. He figured his reward would be at least influenced by how quickly the pit dog could get back to work.

He walked forward to inspect Hyena as the spider man moved to show him to Needle. He was more careful this time not to let his fingers get too close to those teeth, raising his arm up to pull open one eyelid to see how ‘conscious’ Hyena really was.

”Nah, nah, we’re not going to hurt him anymore” Needle answered softly, pulling back to walk over to his bike. He mounted the bike, prying open a bit of metal designed to blend into the surrounding metal. It flipped up, revealing a gnarled tangle of wires in the middle of the handlebars. Whistling, he reached in, pulling out a single unconnected wire, which he slide down into a socket casing.

This done, he turned back to Sox, grinning at him.

”Here, give him to me.” He patted the sliver of seat in front of him. He placed each hand lovingly on the handlebars, jerking his head back. His vision swam a bit and he regretted it.

”You’re behind me. Make sure he doesn’t eat my face while we’re going, yeah? But..gently.”

His eye rolled to look to Needle as his eye was opened further, baring his teeth in a weak threat. He couldn’t go back, his adventure in freedom couldn’t end so soon. He shifted more, a whimper leaving his lips as they approached the bike. No no no, no he had to fight back, he had to do something to ensure his freedom. He squirmed a bit more, attempting to loosen himself from the webs with what strength he had.

Olly…Olly...” he whined, knowing the call of the raiders involved in less fatal fights to call for mercy. It was a call he himself never had to give, never had to adhere to in the pit. But now, it was his last chance at freedom.
