Tch. Tch. Tph. Tch. Tch. Tph. The sound of Ishitari's movement wandered all throughout the town. Her feet hit the ground in quick succession of one another. The town center was a good walk away from the docks but one that was very welcome after an extended boat ride. Entef circled around her in the sky and came down on her right gloved hand. He was just as excited as she was it seemed. Her free hand gave his head a simple pat while the other noises of the town would play out. The sound of a family walking together mixed with the conversation of a shopkeeper and a customer haggling over a price. In this chaos lied a beautiful percussion that was the most peace that Ishitari had felt in years. Could she be safe here finally? To live her life without being in service to another who enslaves their people? Hopefully.
Her journey took her down the road to the market district as many people were present as always. They talked and chatted among themselves. Sounds of coins and such in pouches being slung around or opened were all that Ishitari cared to hear. Tch. Tch. Tph. Chng. Her own coin purse jingled from within her robes. A hand fell over it out of instinct along with her stomach curling out of fear but only for a moment. Those days are gone. For now, at least. There should be no reason to be afraid. Her thoughts were her own, swimming in her head while she couldn't help but feel as if she was standing out in the crowd. It was not an incorrect statement based on her appearance. Ishitari's clothing was so obviously not of Valor or Trendel. Maybe the many here thought of her as an actor in a children's play? It would be a fitting cover story for her. After a few precious seconds of mentally talking herself into removing the hand over her pouch, she left out a lengthy exhale and continued on. Children her age would be hanging out with friends or be waiting impatiently with their parents here. Would they turn her into the royal guard if they came? Thoughts came up about such a grim fate for her. Her pace increased out of worry. Tch. Tph. Chng. Tch. Tph. Chng. Their whispers and ramblings increased in volume. She was getting overwhelmed in herself as the chaos continued. Noise, noise, noise! Ishitari held her head and barreled into the first building she came across.
She slammed the door shut and was trying to catch her breath. Very slowly the fears and worries were disappearing back into the back of her mind where they belonged. Her fingers slid down the door as she tried to catch her breath. Entef chirped on her shoulder as he worried about her little outburst. It took another few moment but Ishitari soon caught her breath and then turned around. Her hands were still shaking but she ignored it. The shop they were in appeared to be a bakery of sorts. She walked inside without any shoes or footwear of any kind and felt her stomach growl. So much food to be found here. Ishitari wanted to eat it all. Anything that looked like it could have berries in it looked delicious to her. Without anybody visible to service her, she looked around to try and find one such person.

Roselyn felt glad that Catherine is learning some of the basics quickly. The ovens are the heart of her operation. If they are not functioning correctly, then the quality of the baked goods would suffer, not to mention that the safety of everyone in the bakery would be at risk should the fire spread outside of the ovens. After letting Catherine finished patching up the ovens, Roselyn walked her through the basics of how the ovens work. The basic idea is temperature control. All the ovens are heated through a mixture of firewood and straw. Once they light them on fire, they must be patient and make sure the fire keeps burning for as long as they need them to burn. Typically an oven must be heated anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on what baked goods will be used. When the ovens are done heating, they remove the ashes from the oven and proceed to bake bread and other goods. The last thing Roselyn showed Catherine today was the feel of the bread when it is ready to eat. It is something that a good baker should know about, and the feel of every bread is different. She made sure to reserve a loaf of bread for Catherine before the morning was over. There was not much else she can teach her today, so she let her return home with the loaf of bread she saved for her. Then the bakery owner resumed her duties as per usual before it was time to go home.
The new day has begun and Roselyn is excited as usual to go to her bakery. She cannot wait to start the early morning routine of heating the ovens and preparing the dough with her team. The fiery heat coming from the ovens and the feel of sticky dough is truly like home to her. Hopefully, Catherine will come today to continue getting used to the routine of working with the ovens. It is probably not the most exciting part of the job since a lot of is patience and keeping a close eye, but it is crucial to the entire operation. Unfortunately, the princess did not come. The bakery doors were open and the morning rush came and went. Roselyn had prepared the special of the day during the busy morning hours so that they would ready when the morning crowd sort of died out. Now that she was out and about, she was able to speak to some of the patrons who were still there, asking them about their experience at the bakery, how they and their family been doing, etc. Her head turned to see a female entering the bakery as if she were on the run. Is she in trouble? The poor woman looked anxious. At a second glance, Roselyn noticed the woman's skin color and outfit. She is not someone this bakery owner has seen around here, and she does not believe that this woman is native to this area. Perhaps she is from a desert tribe, but these assumptions should not be made so promptly. There is one thing that is clear about this woman: she is hungry. Roselyn cannot stand there knowing that someone in her presence is hungry. She walked around the counter, sliced a few portions of her braided cinnamon raisin bread, placed in a small basket and walked over to the dark skin woman. She presented this basket as a gift to her before saying, "Welcome. You seem famished. Take this gift from me. If you don't like the taste, please let me know. I am sure we can find something to your liking. And do not worry about the cost for now."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Showed Catherine the Ovens. Ishitari was surprised to be greeted by a woman with her hair kept in a long single braid pushing a basket of bread towards her. Her hazel eyes fell to the slices of raisin bread in his grasp. Just the sight of it was enough to cause her mouth to water. It had been so long since she had anything other than fish. Entef hopped along her arm holding the basket, just in front of Roselyn. He chirped and tilted his head at her before continuing on this with normal schedule of perching atop the girl's shoulder. Delicious scents wafted into her nose as her arm moved on its own. It shoved a slice of bread into her awaiting mouth and chewed with such voracity. Her mind found the words she had been looking for. "I will pay you for this gift. Thank you." is what she was trying to say. What come out was something impossible to comprehend along a "thank you" as her mouth had been filled with quite enough bread already. Ishitari swallowed a mouthful of bread and continued while stepping out of the way of the door and into an empty seat. The people nearby were staring for obvious reasons. Maybe it was her clothing or her skin. Maybe it was the bird on her shoulder for the fact that she was a skeleton eating bread like she had not eaten for weeks. All of these were good guesses. The rhythm she had heard once before was muffled over the noises of her chowing down on her precious bread. After a few minutes, Ishitari had managed to eat through all of it. Letting out a satisfied sigh, she smiled a bit at Roselyn but was still very weary of her. After all, she could tell the guards she was treated here. What would happen to her if they found out? She was aiding an escaped slave. While she wasn't aware of the legalities behind such an act, there were certain to be consequences.
"Do you have anything to drink?" she asked, her heavy bahtavan accent making it clear that she was an outsider to Eoana. "Thank you for your kindness. I will pay for whatever is brought."

Roselyn's intuition served her well once again. Perhaps it was easy to tell that the dark skin woman needed something to eat, but the bakery owner felt the urge to help her out. Her own experience with hunger drives her to make sure that she assists those who do not have food or drink. Seeing how the woman standing before her attacked the basket filled with slices of braided cinnamon raisin bread, Roselyn knew that she made the right choice. Although she could understand what the grateful woman was saying to her since she was talking with her mouth full of bread, she got the impression that she was trying to thank her for the bread. That was more than enough to keep Roselyn's smile intact and fill her with that good feeling people get when they do something for someone simply to be a good person. With all that bread she is eating, surely she will need something to drink. Roselyn looked toward one of the employees and gestured him to bring a cup with milk in it. By the time the woman with an accent unfamiliar to Roselyn asked her for something to drink, the male employee she had gestured to brought the milk to her. She thanked her employee as she took the milk from him, then she handed it to the desert lady as she said,"Don't you worry about paying me back. The bread and milk is my gift to you. I could not stand here seeing someone as hungry as you are and not give you something to eat, and it would be wrong of me to demand money from you afterward."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Helping Ishitari]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Am I pretty baker?]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: []

It was then soon that a glass of milk was provided to her. A male employee walking over towards the two and setting it before her. the moment his hands were moved, it found its way to her lips. The glorious beverage finding its way down her lips as she drank it all down. After a few more bites of raisin bread and long sips from her milk, Ishitari smiled at Roselyn. She appeared in happier spirits now that food was in her stomach. "I thank you, miss. Your generosity is very appreciated." She mentally kicked herself for showing such emotion but then again it would be rude to just accept all of this without so much as a parting glance. The child remained quiet for a moment or so while debating her next move. She couldn't exactly tell her the entire truth but maybe a small white lie would suffice for the time being. "I was travelling here from Bahtavan and left my food somewhere else. Had you not come, I would have starved." Ishitari smiled and continued to chat with Roselyn for a little while at least, until she left the shop some time later. It was a good initial meeting, and it was certainly nice to have a person in town that was generous.

Roselyn felt like she needed to treat her employees with a special treat today. All of them do a wonderful job at her bakery, and she always feels that she should repay their loyalty and service with more than just money. Well, that is what she decided to do yesterday. When she arrived at the bakery and opened the doors for her employees in the morning, she revealed to them what she has hidden in her basket: cookies. Not the kind of cookies she sells at her bakery, but a personal recipe that she developed. A sweet cookie, but not too sweet. It also contains a bit of spice to give it a pleasant burn to the throat. All of them were happy with this treat, but they could not spend too much time eating. They have to prepare the ovens and the dough. From here on, the routine was the same. The fires of the oven were lit and monitored until they were at the right temperatures. The dough for various baked goods was prepared with precision and great care. Fresh bread and other items were baked and set aside to cool down so that they were ready to sell. When they were ready to open, the floodgates were unlocked and the morning crowd entered the bakery. Through Roselyn's leadership, she guided her employees to handle the crowd the best they could and sure enough, they are managing."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Helping Ishitari]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Am I pretty baker?]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: []

It was not a different day for Roselyn at the bakery. The routine could not be any more of the same: arrive early to open the back door of the bakery, prepare the ovens and the dough, bake the goods that will hopefully be sold today, open the bakery and provide great guest service. As much as Roselyn enjoys her work and is always looking for ways to expand her business, it can become monotonous at times. Today was one of those boring days. One of her employees pointed this out to her and told her she should get out of the bakery for some time, meet new people, try new things. It has to be something that has little or nothing to do with her bakery. She is afraid that something will go wrong if she leaves the bakery, but maybe she should do it. A bit of fresh air and distance from her work ought to do her some good. It could even bring her some fire and inspiration to do something inventive with her bakery. These thoughts simmered in her head throughout the day, even after closing the bakery for the evening and going back home. Maybe tomorrow she will go to the bakery just to open the doors for her employees and leave behind the key to open the front door. After that, she will spend the day away from the bakery doing whatever she wants to relax."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Killing time]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Am I pretty baker?]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: [End Interaction]

It was good for Roselyn to be away from the bakery for a few days. Her mind is in a clearer state, she feels refreshed, and she is ready to deliver her guests the best service and baked goods they should get. Today is unveiling the apple fritters that she has been testing lately and she hopes that her guests will receive them well. Her fellow bakers had been working hard in her absence, so they were the first to try her apple fritters. All of them liked what she created, so that is giving her some confidence for how her guests will respond. The routine may the same, but she is feeling more enthusiastic about it than she has been in a long time. Once the freshly baked bread had cooled and was out on display, the doors were opened for guests. As people shopped for bread and other goods, Roselyn encouraged them to give the apple fritters a try. So far the reception of her fritters is positive. Hopefully, it will remain that way."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Working]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Am I pretty baker?]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: []

Roselyn is excited about the autumn festival. There is always something about the festivities that brings out the best within people. Of course, the festival is going to bring in more foot traffic, which means more guests will visit her bakery. Since people will be here to enjoy the autumn festival, they deserve to have treats that fit the autumn season. It cannot be a cheesecake. A dessert like that requires people to sit down and eat with utensils. It has to be something that is quick and easy to make as well as something that can be eaten with just there fingers and take them on the go. That is when fritters came to mind. It won't be the experimental apple fritters, but simple crisps coated with sugar. It will be fresh, hot and sweet.
During the beginning of the festival, people did not stop visiting her bakery, buying and eating her various baked goods. The sugar coated crisps are being received favorably by those who were looking for a quick, sweet treat. Everything was going so smoothly. Then something horrible happened. Roselyn was not sure what it was at first other than a loud boom. Was it an explosion. She went outside to investigate, and all she saw was chaos. People were running, parts of the market district were being destroyed. She even spotted a few people being struck down by arrows. The market district is under attack! she quickly retreated to the bakery and kept the front door locked. It may not keep the attackers at bay for long, but at least they will not be able to immediately barge in. Right now her main concern is to help those inside the bakery escape. With the help of her employees, she directed her guests to the back of the bakery so they can escape through the back door."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Was working. Passing from one victim to the next, the Black Hooded Rogue continued to swipe and claw from one the next. That is until he noticed some people being beckoned into one shop in particular before the door was shut. Narrowing his eyes as he grinned and howled briefly before shifting completely into a strange yellowish furred spotted deranged large dog and charging at the bakery. Instead of trying the door, however, the nearly rabid canine ripped through one of the windows, smashing through the glass and pouncing into the first victim he saw. Ripping the female to shreds as she screamed and fell, the shifter shifted back into partial form, his large claws bared as he smirked and started to charge at any remaining citizens trying to hide.

How much time does Roselyn have before one or more of the attackers try to destroy her bakery? She can't imagine it will be long. This attack is so sudden. Nobody is prepared for this and the chaos outside is getting worse. People have been escaping through the back of the bakery so that they can get away from the attackers, or at least avoid getting spotted by them for a while. However, the sound of glass breaking and the screams of a woman, only to be silenced, meant that the bakery is no longer safe. Not everyone has escaped, and anybody left inside is susceptible to being attacked. Roselyn does not have her bow with her, and even if she did, there is not much she can do with it in an enclosed area. She has to get the attention of the attacker in her shop and lead him away from the people inside so they still have a chance to escape. Quickly she ran to grab whatever she can use as a weapon. Her weapons of choice was a rolling pin and an ax she uses to chop firewood. It is not much, but it should at least provide her with some defense until she can find a better weapon someplace else. At the center of the bakery, where everybody would normally walk around browsing what she is selling, she saw what was happening. A figure in black killing everyone in sight. He has to bring his attention on her. She threw the rolling pin that she picked up at him. Whether this hits him or not, she can only hope that it brought his attention to her. After throwing the rolling pin, she jumped outside the window he burst into and started running into the market district with the hope that the black hooded figure will follow her. It is a huge risk, but she could not stand there and watch a massacre take place in her shop."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Was working. Roselyn's bakery has not been fully restored. There are still parts of it that are still under construction, but it is safe for people to enter the building and she has enough equipment to where she can start doing business once again. However, she is not sure if she can provide all the goods that people normally come to her for. There are no specials or other treats besides bread that she can make at the moment. Only white leavened bread and unleavened bread will be available for sale today. Fortunately, she has managed to acquire a few employees to help her out in the front, but the dough making and baking will all be done by her. Early in the morning she arrived at her bakery and did all she had to do for making the dough for the two types of bread she will be doing: leaven and unleavened. The unleavened took the least amount of time since she did not have to wait for the bread to rise, therefore she can form the dough into the shapes she requires them to be and put them in the oven as soon as it came together. By the time she finished baking the unleavened bread, she could work on doing the same for leavened bread as the unleavened bread cooled. Finally, when all the bread was done baking and cooling, and her employees for the front showed up, she opened her doors to the public. She is not exactly getting the traffic of customers that she used to, but there were people waiting to buy bread regardless and she is grateful for that. The baker made sure to lower her prices for the time being to entice people to come in and not worry about not having enough money for other things they need to spend on."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Getting things back on track]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Winter]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: []

No berries or other exotic flavors this time. Her cheesecake is as pure as it can be, but she is sure that people will love it. Aside from that, she is still serving only white leavened bread and unleavened bread. The process for making bread dough early in the morning and baking it remained the same as yesterday. The cheesecake was made yesterday and it had enough time to cool and set, so it is ready to serve. This snowstorm is not something Roselyn is a fan of. It is not because she dislikes the cold, but the weather is preventing people from coming to her bakery. She cannot keep shoveling snow out of the way so people can walk into her bakery. Even if she could do that, few people will suffer through a snowstorm just to buy bread. Not even all her workers could show up to the bakery. As a result, she is not having a busy day. The few people who did show up at the bakery did stay longer than they normally would, mostly to get away from the cold. Still, Roselyn did her best to make the few guests she had to feel as if they were home. When her guests had to leave, she decided to let all of her employees, the few that did show up, go home. When she was all alone, she did feel odd at first to be in the bakery by herself. However, there was something comforting to her listening to the roar of the fire from her ovens, tapping her fingers against the wooden tables, etc. A few more guests did come to her bakery, but nothing she could not handle on her own."."❀ ✿ι αм:[Roselyn de la Croix]❀ ✿мσηєу:[None on her person]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ∂σιηg:[Getting things back on track]❀ ✿ωнєяє αм ι:[Bakery]❀ ✿ωнαт αм ι ωєαяιηg:[Winter]❀ ✿мαякιиgѕ:[N/A]❀ ✿ςσи∂ιтισи:[Healthy]❀ ✿αςςєит:[Thats my voice]❀ ✿OOC: []
