The cat hissed at her, making Asteria take a step back. It reared up, hissing louder, and then... sat. Asteria blinked. "Um..." She slowly reached forward, which only earned a glare and head-turn. "Come on, work with me here..."
10 minutes passed with no avail. No amount of prodding or coaxing would get the mount to move. Decidedly admitting defeat, she turned to the hunter beside her.
"U-um, can you give me a hand?"

After her success she'd stuck around for a while and turned back when she was asked. "Oh!" The Sun Hunter smiled at the other, moving to the stubborn cat and she tilted her head. "Hmmm..." Iyari rubbed her head and moved up behind the large cat. "Let's see if we can't just..." Iyari started pushing at its butt and she got an angry growl in return, but it slowly moved a bit. "I think your stubborn kitty just wants some pets." Iyari tapped its head and pet it, listening to the purr. "There we go!" She grinned back to the other Hunter.
"Just some pets!"

She watched as the other hunter approached it, wincing when the cat growled. Wasn't she scared of it biting her? I-I AM confident!
Taking the other hunter's advice, she approached it, took a deep breath, and reached out. Slowly... slowly... The cat hesitated, stared at her hand, and licked it. "Aha, that tickles!" She smiled and proceeded to stroke its head, listening to its soft purrs.
I guess you were right.
Having managed to tame the beast, Asteria proceeded towards her opponent. "Hiyah!!" The cat reared up at the last second, nearly throwing her off, but she managed to stay on and secure a win. Victory!!
