A sigh escaped Kaia's lips for what it seemed like the millionth time tonight. This was meant to be quick and easy. Just drop off the offering, say your prayer, then high tail it out of there.
Yet hours later here she still sat. Her offering still tucked between her hooves. It would be dawn soon and even if she was prone to popping off in the middle of the night for whatever reason even Tut would be looking for her if she wasn't back by morning.
Ironic given that he was the reason she was here right now.
She wanted to give him the family that he deserved. The family she knew he wanted. It was the one thing that she couldn't give him. Multiple unicorns and healers had told her over and over again that pregnancy would be far too risky for her. if she did the impossible and found herself pregnant there was a good chance that either the babies, herself, or both in the worst case would die. Dispute the warnings Kaia had for years tried talking her mate into gambling with the risks. Yet every time she brought up the subject he outright refused.
Doing this against his wishes seemed wrong to her in a way. But at the same time she knew that it was necessary if they were to have their own family. She loved her mate - gods she did - but he was as stubborn as a bull!
Come on, Kaia. You can do this. If your mother can suck it up and wish on a star than so can you.
Sucking in a deep breath she pushed the offering forward onto the stone alter. There was no going back now. "W-wishing star, god, sp-spirit...?" Ugh someone kill her now. Her nervous stutter was rearing it's ugly head back up again. Of course! Of all the times. Closing her eyes she constrained on getting her words out smoothly. Well, at least tried to anyways.
"Whatever you are. You have already brought members of my family together again." Coughing she mumbled the next bit under her breath. "Even if one could argue if it was really for the best bringing my aunt back home."
Shaking her head slightly she raised her voice again back to it's normal levels. "B-but m-moving on! I hope that you can make another m-miracle happen. My mate he...he means the world to me. I love him with all my heart. There is n-nothing more that I want to see than his happiness. We've been together for years now. I can't imagine life without him. I k-know that he is content with our life now. But...I also know he wants to be a f-father. And I want to have a family with him as well! Something I never even dreamed I would want. The problem is I..I c-can't provide that."
She paused for a moment. With a quick sniffle used her colorful headwings to wipe away the tears threatening to fall. She needed to wrap this up soon least she turn into a blubbering mess! "That's why I'm h-hoping you can help us. Hopefully you can bless us with even one child to treasure and love."

She holds herself magnificently, away from the other soquili; alone. Loneliness is visible in her eyes and face. She doesn't speak, and her face holds no hope, but she briefly ducks her head down in respectful prayer. Star, if you exist, if you hear my voice... bring me a friend. A teacup full of pebbles and flowers Short IC Response: “Love’s light, slight trove…sing of lost and bring the found.” Catriona saw nothing wrong with wishing on a star even though it had not been explained to her what was special about the star. Wishes could be made on anything. This wish was simple. There was something lost that needed being found. She wasn’t entirely sure what, she just knew it existed.

Strands from both their manes. Short IC Response: Trida broke the surface and swam towards an outcropping of rock that signified where she and her mate Pontas made their home. She carefully pulled herself up and gazed up at the sky. She'd heard from some passing dolphins one day that one of their cousin's sister's boyfriend's friend's companion said that if you wished upon a star on a special night well...sometimes your wish came true. It had happened to them! Honest!
While sometimes a little naive, Trida hadn't been ready to believe that one completely. However...could it really be true? Stranger things happened after all. At least Pontas was asleep in their grotto and wouldn't see her if nothing came of it.
She carefully pulled a strand of Pontas' mane from where it had been caught in her necklace and placed it on a rock. She then tugged a strand of her own out and placed it with his. She peered up at the star and then closed her eyes tight. "Please please please...if it's not too much trouble...um...maybe...a baby? Or two...even? We love each other so much and...!" she opened one eye and looked up at the star. "Just...if it's not too much trouble." she reiterated.
She curled her tail as the water lapped against it and gazed up at the star. Well she'd tried...and there was no harm in that.

My Long Lost Family Member Soquili in search of a relative: Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Brother Breed (first choice): Kalona Breed (2nd choice, must be mini, common, or uncommon): Wind What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? She will leave an ink stained feather, a reminder of her lifemate who was coming for her, and her own wings, stretched against the night sky, and a single tear. Short IC Response: Seriav stood blinking up at the bright star, wishing with all her heart, and hoping that whatever power it was that powered the star could hear her, even though she could not speak to it. She could only let the thoughts run through her head as loud as she could. If you can hear me, if you want to hear me, please please listen. My family, even as it is growing, is still scattered, so scattered. Speaking with my brother, Kelakohr, during a time that he will not really remember, he told me of another like myself and unlike myself. He, too, is mute, silent from the basket, but he follows the appearance of my other brother, my favorite brother, Aveshar. A Kalona, yet he is kind and was sent to try and broker a peace between Aveshar and our parents, but he did not return. I do not believe that he simply let himself be swayed to Aveshar's side. If he had, I would know. I would have seen him. And I have not. I think he got lost, or maybe was forced from his path and needs a guiding light to find his way home. A Pendant made of Black Glass thats a disk made out of fancy looking koi on a beaded onyx chain Short IC Response: It was a little before sunset when Duanna stepped out of the water onto the black sand beach of the volcanic island she called home, an obsidian and onyx necklace clutched in her mouth. The wishing star had started twinkling in the night sky the night before, and she had to head out early if she wanted to reach her destination. She paused only slightly, looking uncertainly at the distant mountain before she headed into the deep forest, which was rich in trees from the Diospyros, such as persimmon, Ebony and Calamander wood, taking the well worn southern path toward the mountain path to the flat plateau west of the great waterfall of the island. She was not the only member of the island venturing up the path toward the lakeside altar of the Moon and Stars to leave their wishes to the Wishing star, and as she waited her turn at the alter she hung back, watching others give their prayers and wishes to the spirits they worshiped. Then the nights of the wishing star were over, afterwards the items that remained, unclaimed by spirits, would be put on the offering post for other soquili to claim for themselves, though it was considered ill taste for the donator of the item to reclaim it. It was almost sunrise when it thinned enough she could have some privacy as she laid the necklace over one of the figures on the altar, and bowed down in prayer to the wishing star, "I have so many siblings and half siblings, but the ocean is so and this island so.. Intimidating, I haven't really gotten to see most of them in years... I don't even know where my landborn half siblings are caved, or where my waterborn full or halfsiblings have settled. If at all possible.... I wish to see at least one of them again.."

XD Vanity is a flock member who was borne by the wishing star several years ago. If she were to tell it to you, she's the second most beautiful in the flock (following her mother, naturally) and the absolute *best* at capturing unwary stallions. Ezra leaves a really fresh kill that he made on his way here. Jinko leaves a mostly complete skin that a snake had shed that she found. He wasn't normally one for this but it had been awhile and things were getting... not quite desperate but something to that effect. He set his offering down and looked up. "Hey star... it's been a while since I got some action... if you know what I mean... could you hook me up with someone? I guess this really isn't what you're here for but.... Oh hey that mare over there looks like a good candidate and there's no stallion with her. Know what I'll just go see if she's up for it." He said while pausing, "Maybe this is your thing." Children were physical proof of their bond, and she needed more. Besides, she hadn't seen dear Vanya in so long. Where was he? The first time she'd used a ruby. Now, she used a fragment of the chain that Proserpina had helped her escape from. Now, maybe this would be the chain that would bind them together. Breed (first choice): Cerynei'Suti crossbreed? <3 Breed (2nd choice, must be mini, common, or uncommon): Mutant Cerynei? If not allowed Half Cerynei with something else mix ? What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? Ribbons. Lots of ribbons he had collected over time. Short IC Response: Z'en likes to protect his friends (especially the little wild bunnies he stalks in the forests) from danger. His other friend Laurel, a mutant rabbitsoquili, is able to defend herself quite well so he doesn't have to worry about her. Z'en was always smaller than the average soquili so often times he gets mistaken as easy prey but he puts up a great fight with heavy blows. However, being alone for so long and not knowing anything about his family, he sort feels lonely, even if his best friend is with him almost all the time. He just sulks alone inside caves and between the trees wishing that there were others like him. A father or a mother perhaps. One that can tell him stories about the past and of his relatives. He just doesn't want to feel like he is the last of his kind... The day was calm and is heart was beating proudly as he meandered through the forest listening to the wild birds and boars chatter with their own family members. Even the tadpoles swam together as he took a few sips from the lake. Feeling a bit glum, he felt a tinge of longing. Longing to see his own kind...his family.. of they are still alive... With a quick side glance, making sure that Laurel doesn't notice his wishing plea, he looked up at the sparkling star in the sky and whispered "Guiding star, please find my lost family for me. I have so many unknown history about my kind. I want to know more. To lean more. I don't want my lineage to go extinct..." Edited to fix typos lol OTL
