Taking a chance, Ochre steps away from the stone Burn is on, and calls her dog. "Burn, come here." The eaglehound gets off the stone and sits at Ochre's feet.

sheepcakes Taking a chance, Ochre steps away from the stone Burn is on, and calls her dog. "Burn, come here." The eaglehound gets off the stone and sits at Ochre's feet. Nothing interesting happens. All the rocks and the obelisk remain in the same state. [OOC: current stones are yellow - red - red - yellow - red - center (which is glowing) - plain - plain - plain - plain - plain. the obelisk is also glowing. bear is on the third stone from the left. jester, breach, and half-truth are on the fourth. blue and bubbles are on the fifth. kisses is on the stone with the marking. beauty beyond compare and rolling mist are on the center stone of the right group. all other kin/dogs/wolves/burning bushes/other familiars are not on top of stones, but they may be touching some stones.]

Wanders with Roots began sniffing first, he could hear her little nose going. Then she was shifting away from his feet – trotting up to the familiar Baby and sniffing at her, giving a pleased bark in response to Baby’s. Figment of Imagination remained seated, but his ears had perked up. He smiled as a pup nuzzled his leg, though when Wanders with Roots came back and barked at his side a somewhat confused expression crossed his face. If Roots was beside him, who was in front of him?
“Why, hello, new friend.” Mirage leaned down to poke his nose at the pup, “And who are you?” It was rare that a dog would approach without familiarity – somewhere in his mind he realized that this pup probably belonged to Rouge or Ochre. “Kisses? Baby?” He ventured a few guesses, and his heart beat faster as he waited for a response...149

Mist stepped down off the stone he was on, giving Beauty a friendly smile, and observed the changes in color. Trotting around he stepped up again on the very first stone to the left.

 Well poo, Ochre was very much hoping the dogs had something to do with this. Acha very much love their dogs, so it had made sense. Curious, Ochre goes to the stone Jester and company are on, it's very much too crowded for her to step on, in fact even going nose to stone might push someone off. So Ochre thwaps the stone with her tail, watching intently to see if it, too, will glow red. Baby gives a happy bark when Mirage remeber her, dancing in circles with a very excited wiggle. Now to get him to her momma, she gently headbutt his chest, like a mother dog might do to get a pup moving.

Mirage could swear that his heart nearly burst. He chuckled, “Baby it is.” He could hear her dancing on the sand, and Wanders with Roots trotting back to her. “My, how I’ve missed you. How are you, darling?”
Rather than giving another bark, Baby approached him again and gave his chest a gentle headbutt. Well, if he knew anything, he knew that was her way of saying ‘follow me’ – and he could imagine where she’d want to take him. A smile crossed his face and he stood up, though anxiety was clutching his chest. Would Ochre remember him? That was probably a silly question. Would she be happy to see him? Maybe she had stayed away so long because she had grown tired of him, exhausted with trying to describe a world he never felt he fit into…
No, he shouldn’t think that way. Certainly not until he’d actually found Ochre. He tried to shake off his worries and nodded at Baby. “Well, okay then. Lead the way.” Wanders with Roots came back to his side and prepared to possibly lead him, should Baby get too far ahead.188

Mist's brow furrowed and he hopped off. Giving Ochre a look, then looking at her remaining pups he gestured towards them with his nose and then towards the stone. Maybe if one or more of the pups were on it?

Ochre gives the stones a glare, looking very much like she's got some words for them, and walks over to the stone Mist just got off. "Don't mind me, just seeing if it works." she says, giving the buck a frind smile, lest he think the earlier glare was at him, then touches her nose to stone.It had been many, many seasons but Baby remembered that her momma's friend needed careful guiding. She stayed close, leading the way and yapping to move kin blocking the path when needed. It wasn't even long before Ochre was in view, and it took every bit of training for Baby not to gently n** at Mirage's heels to get him moving faster.

There is a sense that the Obelisk is waiting for something else - and that it has been waiting, this whole time. His eyes widened slightly as the stone lit up red. Frowning at it he gives Ochre a little silent chuckle. He could sense the frustration and completely understood. Looking over all the stones he frowned. What could it want next? His eyes landed on the glowing Obelisk and he padded forward cautiously. Maybe? Just maybe it was waiting to be touched? He inhaled softly and gave a slow exhale of anxious energy. It couldn't hurt. Stopping before the giant he blinked and slowly leaned forward. His nose gently touching the Obelisk itself.

Ochre turns and looks at the obelisk. It towers over them, almost like a parent waiting for.. an answer? a thank you? a gift? Not sure at all what it wants, Ochre trots over to it, and presses her nose against it.
