Marcus LeCroix 25/25 Arriving at the promised land
Thus far, Marcus had not had much luck with finding anything of real merit. A few odds and ends but as far as he was concerned, he just wanted to get slightly drunk and eat and stay out of the way for the whole murder and not become murdered himself. Blood rituals were a tad more permanent than illuminati control over governments after all. One you could topple the other was well. You ended up dead and that was just a touch more pressing on a scale of things he'd rather not be party to.
Walking to the Scarlet Foyer, he relaxed as he noticed the many (supposed) humans in the room, but what he really got excited for? Food.
Finally, after much wandering, he had found the blessed food and wine. Sure it was white wine but lord on heaven on high it was alcohol and he was beyond ready to dull a bit of his sense and take some stress off under the effects of fermented fruit juice.
Marcus didn't care that the food looked enchanted or, that he had no idea what he was grabbing. BUT. It was food, it was free, he was hungry and stressed and stressed eating and drinking were much needed at this point.

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Dividing & Conquering
"It's fine," Chris said to Autumn, giving her a smile. "I understand how it goes. And I'm glad to see you're alive too."
"Dividing and conquering sounds great," He said to the room at large. "I can do any of them, but I'm probably better with The Spinel Lady and Ezra. I don't think either of them dislike me yet."
He paused for a moment, then said, "What time should we meet up back here, to pool what we get?"

"So, are you saying since I can't wear my mask, I can give it to someone?" She wanted to be utterly clear. Also, she wanted the mask back afterwards - it was a collector's item!
"As for, um, splitting up, I can go and speak to the Sinister guy again. He wasn't so bad last time, just unhelpful." She wondered where Susan was. At the Eldritch dude's sudden words, she turned sharply to him.
"You're suggesting we use this to ensure whom we want dies, aren't you?"
Autumn Smith 25/25, literally waiting to take your pain away. It was an ugly possibility, having to kill someone, but not one Autumn wanted to think on for too long. She worried her lower lip in thought.
"I'm gonna stay here as a healer, I think. Lord knows we may end up needing it. I say... no later than eleven fifteen. That way, we have time to coordinate info, and get our asses out there with a bit of time before the bloodbath." A grim outlook, but they had to be ready. If Melany was set on a tithe, she was probably going to make a show out of it. Shitty dramatic fae and all that.
"And... just an idea, but. Maybe see if we can get the dupes unmasked, if you're feeling ballsy enough to fight one. Maybe we could get one of those ******** sacrificed, if worst comes to worst."
She paused, then added.
"And be careful? I told Alois this, but. I have the kick-strength of a deer, and Melany Spinel whatever the ******** you wanna call her didn't budge. Stay on your toes around her."

[25/25 | EVE]: planning with peeps
After processing the initial confusion from the qualities of the Gentleman's voice, Eve gave a nod. "I'm not surprised. We're not important enough to break those rules, after all. Thank you, though, for the advice. That was generous of you."
Autumn Smith 25/25, getting ready to apologize "...Eve? Will you stick around a sec?" Autumn called, more nervous than she'd been the whole night. Kicking Melany in the face? Easy. Apologizing to her mom? Nnnnot so much on that front.

Chel | 15/25 | Calling It
"Bullshit, y'old creep," she responded to the gentleman, no more "polite" than she had been last time. "Everyone an' their mom's lyin' so I ain't got any reason to believe you sayin' there ain't no way to stop this." Especially when the cats had told them as much.
She let out a sigh at Autumn's suggestion and finally sat up with a tired look on her face. "We ain't murderin' someone just so other people don't get murdered. That ain't solvin' nothin', just puttin' it off."
Then she looked to the others remaining to pick their people. "Back t'gettin' s**t done- That leaves the deer trio and Adoelle right?"
"That's not my plan, it's a fallback. We need more information before we can figure out what the ******** going on, and I'm saying we go get that info, get back here, and find a way to stop this s**t. On the off chance we do fail, I'd rather it be the shitlord who broke someone's hand and got off on it, or one of the other ******** who stole our friends. Melany seemed like the type who'd happily off a failed servant." A grim suggestion, but one nonetheless.
"Humor me here. Say we do fail, and we don't have a failsafe. What happens?"

Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Brooding
Shun listened to the others for awhile as they continued to go over what they knew.
"The dupes are not human. I am certain of this. Do not take them lightly. But yes... I believe our best bet is to try and make the sacrifice work in our favor. We just... need to figure out how to go about that. "
He shook his head, taking in a breath. He eyed the Eldritch one for a moment.
"I can deal with the stranger, or potentially the burning one. I should avoid Spinel for a time..."

Chris Watts || 25/25 || Leaving
He blinked at the Eldritch Gentleman and then gave him a very short nod, turning to the room.
"He's right, we can't escape magic like this. Other Ashdown has it's own will and it sounds like this is rare, rare enough we won't be able to stop it. Melany knows and she has those to help her. The only thing we can do its bend it to our favor."
"I agree with getting the dupes unmasked. See if you can get masks on the originals. The more we narrow the pool, the better it works in our favor. I think Thorne is already masked. If you..." He swallowed, looking uncomfortable. "If you see a Thorne with bruises around his neck and a cape, that's the dupe."
"I think we've all mostly decided. I'm going now, but I'll see you all around."
With that, Chris was off.

Susan Greer - 25/25 - entering, quietly, like a mouse a smol smol mouse
Susan entered the room late, and with wide eyes. Her makeup was smeared and the skin around her almond shaped baby blues (greens) was tinted red and irritated. She'd spent the last hour in the washroom- the clean one and not the disgusting one. She hadn't even known there had been a commotion until she'd stepped back out into the hall and realized she was surrounded by otherbeings. Only otherbeings.
Luckily, a triage of helpful... um... things... had helped her to where the majority had gathered. In the scarlet foyer. Where she was at now. She did her best to stay small and go unnoticed, slipping along the wall and finding herself a seat where- hopefully- she'd be left alone. She didn't have much information, anyway. She just wanted to listen.
The gentleman nodded to Temperance. "Yo͏u ́h̨ave͢ ́in y͝o̡u͜ŗ ͠han̵ds the̷ pow͢eŗ ̢ţo̧ ͢g͞ran͞t c̛le͏m͏e͞nc̴y to one̸ pe͡rs̡o͘n ͜h͝ere͏ toni͞g͞ht," he told her, "Éve͢n͠ if ̷yo͘u̧ ̸hav͞e en̶d̨ang̵ȩr̕ed ̶yòu̶r͜sel͏f̨ i̢n̢ doi̢ng̷ ̸s̛o̢.̷. That wasn't ominous at all, was it?
He turned to Chel now, pale eyes narrowing behind the pharaonic mask. "D͡o ͘ǹot fo̷r̴g͘e͡t̕ ̧tha̛t̵ y̵ou͘ ̴a̸r͢e̛ ͏a̷ ͞g͠u̷es̡t he̕rȩ," he said. "C͡on͡s͏id͜e͏ŗ ͘-͟ I ͟hav̧e ̸bęe̵n ͟aro̸u̸n̢d ͘th̢e̛ ͞b́lo͢c͟k ̛m͘or͡è t̛i͠ḿes t̵han̵ y҉o̷u c̸a͜r̡e t́o̢ ҉i͡m͢a̡gíne."

[25/25 | EVE]: gaydar activated
Eve gave Autumn a small nod of agreement at her request. Then, as Susan entered the room, they had a brief exchange of looks -- something about the werefox's brilliantly yellow eyes suggested that somehow, she knew from a simple glance something had just happened to the girl. Something gay.

[Maskless Temperance: 25/25 zoom eyes @ Susan & outie]
Of course she noticed when Susan entered the room - how could she not? Even in high school, when Susan had tried to hide, to be unassuming and unobtrusive, Temperance found it easy to locate her. She noticed the red eyes and her hands twisted in her lap, twining the ribbons of her mask so tightly around her fingers that they cut off circulation.
She sighed and looked away from Susan... and looked back. Quickly, she scribbled down a copy of her notes, meticulously noting who said what. She left off the bit about masks, in case Susan would worry... If Susan would worry. She'd screwed everything up, and Susan probably hated her now. To ******** up a friendship, and for what?
Temperance stood abruptly, the chair squeaking backwards. She walked over to Susan and set down the papers she'd pulled from her notebook. "Um, h-here." Her voice was soft and wavered. On the last page, there would be a simple sentence that was obviously not a part of the information. It had been written and erased and rewritten enough that it was barely legible. Even Temperance wasn't sure if she'd meant to erase it or leave it, in the end.
I'm sorry.
With that, she swallowed and turned to leave the room.
