Making a satisfied little sound for being petted she followed along with Melvin and beamed at the little brown dragon.
"Oh I like those ones!" she exclaimed. "Very hardy!"

"Heat resistant too. Never did figure out if the different colors meant anything." He said as he looked around to check the other traps.
Looking under another trap, he pulled out a very large bar of curious looking soap. "O...kay." He tossed that into the trap too because he just wasn't sure.

The soap was curiously sniffed by the canine ghoul and she nodded. "Yes! that's one." she said. "It grows up."
Still, she was somehow concerned that all of the minis they were gathering were not going to end up in her care, with the strongest feeling things would work out in the favour of the scurrying fluttering creeping...lathering things they were bringing back.

There was a small winged thing in another of Jordan's traps that was a cross between an insect and a lizard, rather like the one he'd helped Al catch to take care of. With a sigh, he scooped it up. He couldn't release everything they caught, not if he wanted this astonishingly awkward trip to be over any time soon. He returned to add it to the cage with the rest of the small collection they were gathering.

Melvin moved to another trap and pulled out a skull that had him instantly dropping it. Wiping his hands on his pants, he stared at the skull.
"Suki, is this one?" That or minipets were eating in the trap. He knew a human skull when he saw one and it unsettled him a lot to see one just hanging out in the open.

"Yes!" she said, wagging her tail at Melvin, so very glad to be of service. "I think its a more common one. Most of the strange objects were left behind by minis but are also minis!"
She skipped eagerly over to the next trap and fished out a strange blobby thing with her claws.
"CAT" she said "CAT CAT CAT."
She hurriedly handed it off to Melvin.

Melvin reached out to pick up the skull and found that was indeed something moving inside.

Cringing, he paused when Suki came back to place a glob of a cat onto his free hand and he was left with two types of disgusting.
"Th...Thanks Suki." He said, walking quickly over to the cage and chucking them both in before shutting it and giving a little wiggle of his own body to shake off the creepy crawling sensation up his spine.
Looking over, he knelt down and whistled for Suki to come over. "Hey Suki. Can I scratch your belly?" Because why not.

Jordan returned again with a snail shell, its inhabitant hiding inside. "How many do we have so far?" he asked.

Turning back from where she'd been checking an empty trap, the Inugami made her way over Melvin attentively. "Scratches?" she said, looking thoughtful.
"...yes please!" and with that she lifted up her arms obligingly.

There was a set of distant squeals.
Some if it sounded oddly like jingling.

Melvin knelt down and gave her a few scratches to her stomach, but even he had to admit he didn't know where the line would be drawn. Lawr wasn't a woman just her golem, but he was sure going full force with acting like one. It almost made it too convincing.
"Well, I think with all the traps so far, we have six, but there are a set over there that need checked that I heard snap shut. Oh, and 2 booths and a mushroom." Melvin added through those weren't very useful and he had just tossed aside.
"I'll check the rest. I think we're pretty much done." He said, rising up from kneeling down and patting Suki on the head. He went back to check traps only to return with two odd pigs later, one that wanted to tear his arm apart and so he held it under one arm and the other looking very much like a piggy bank.
"Yup, we seem to be set." He said, juggling them both as he opened the latch and placed them into the very full cage and locking it.
"Suki you were a good girl and will plenty of treats when we get home." He said to her before rising up and looking over at Jordan.
"Hope this wasn't all a pain for you."

And in another trap, two-for-one. Two terrified looking minipets that smelled faintly like flowers and blood clung to each other, and resisted being torn apart. They looked like they might be brothers.
Still, they only needed 10, not 11.

Suki really liked the scratches and almost lost her balance as she kicked a leg at the treatment.
"So many!" she said about the traps when she had calmed down a little from her grateful dancing. "Normally it takes me allllll day."
The trapped minipets in the next trap got a quizzical look from the Inugami. "Hey look, a spare." she said. "Wonder how alike they are." She leaned in to sniff them deeply.
"I like their smell." she said.

"It's been a productive trip," Jordan said, giving Melvin a flat smile.
He moved to check the snap of a nearby snare, and returned with what looked like a bucket with a layer of dirt in the bottom. "I think we've got all we need, don't we?" he said.

Melvin frowned, noticing the tone. That wasn't good.
"Okay. Welp, how about we all head back then and get these minipets in their tanks. I'm sure we're getting to our limit anyways."
